HI, this TPI cannot be used in place of it. There is no cable involved in the AC1750, since it is not a router connected to the internet. The router I have connected to the TP-Link is a Verizon cable router There is no coverage in my house until I got the Link AC1750 for free. There were some parts of my house that were not covered by my Verizon router. TP-Remote Power Supply With the AC1750 router, I do not experience any speed loss when I am far away from the router like I do with my Verizon router. In my house, I get speeds of 100 mps up and down, but in the farthest part of my house, I only get speeds of 5 to 10 mps. TP-Remote Power Supply There is a 100 Mbps speed all over the house with the AC1750.

As the title suggests, this review is intended ONLY for those who wish to run the OpenWRT firmware on the A7 router - it is more a review of OpenWRT than of All of my original Archer C7 models, which are slightly more expensive, run OpenWRT firmware, which is a much more powerful firmware than the stock firmware on all of them.
