Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of devices it can ?

Netgear routers can hold a total of 32 connections per band. So, if your router includes two bands (2 and 5 GHz), you should be able to support up to 64 clients on each channel, but you need to be mindful of what devices you have assigned to each channel.

There is a new router in the apartment Is it better to use an R6700 or a C7? At the moment, both of them are the same price and I wanted to know what the consensus was. ?

This router is definitively the best choice. Let alone the R6700, this router has a far superior processor. In the current version of the R6700 currently available on Amazon (the R6700 V2), Netgear has switched to a new processor. In the revised R6700, a cheaper MKT processor has been used, whose performance is subpar compared to the original Qualcomm chip. The Archer C7 is the way to go. The Archer C7 offers better performance compared to the other, while both are almost identical. Keep the C7 in mind and you'll be pleased with the results.

What is the number of wifi devices it supports?

You can throw as many at it as you want! In no time, I've put an iPad, a television, a laptop, desktop, two phones, as well as two printers on it

What is the maximum number of devices this router can ?

There is no doubt that the router can handle up to 50 devices, but the overall throughput of the router and your network will limit how many you can connect. You can use this at home only. It's common for me to have 12 to 15 devices connected at once, with about six to seven of them being used at any given time. Creating rules to prioritize traffic using QoS features is what I do. You may want to look at higher models if you need something that can support more than 20 devices.

The specifications shown on the Amazon page should not be trusted

The R6700 version they are shipping is actually for the R6700v2 model! It may not be the perfect router, but it will certainly do the trick for many users. This router will provide amazing internet speeds and will be a welcome upgrade for older routers that are incapable of keeping up with the ever increasing internet speeds provided by most internet service providers today. The Netgear R6700 was drastically altered in order to sell it under the same name (R6700), which is a unfortunate move. That being said, Amazon has added a product alert to the product page which indicates either the It seems that they are shipping the R6700v2 model which does not match quite all of the specifications listed on this page (especially My experience is that after getting a router that did not meet my expectations, they offered to replace it with a router that met my expectations (the one with the higher clock speeds stated on the actual product details) and ultimately I received the same thing again There is no difficulty in getting a router that is not flashed with custom software or that will not make use of the other more advanced functions a router can offer for those seeking a router like this. The problem with this is that those of us who are familiar with the hardware know exactly what we are expecting. It is important that you do your research and look for reviews from a variety of If you follow this advice, you therefore won't be disappointed with the V2 that you will receive. I hope this will assist you in making.

It was promised that a router would be released
5/5

I moved in with my wife and she brought with her a router that was better than mine, so we kept it. As the house began to become smarter, we began to see it as more and more. As the number of smart devices at our house increased, so did the amount of chatter. That was the decision I made to upgrade to a pro subscription.

The seven-week program was a failure
3/5

I will be reviewing the Netgear R7000P ac2300 router in this review. I received no compensation for this post I paid out of my own pocket for it. In a couple of months, I upgraded my home network from 100mbps to gigabit speed. This R7000P seemed to provide the best compromise between price and capabilities after doing a great deal of research. He agreed with my assessment as well because he was also remodeling his home. In mid March 2018, I bought mine shortly after he got his. The router was excellent so I got mine soon after. It was very easy to install and it worked perfectly after plugging it in. I was amazed at how easy it was to set up. The devices on my home LAN are a combination of wireless and ethernet devices - The following items consist of two computers, a printer, five NAS devices connected by switches, and some smartphones Every port is connected at 1000 Mbps, including the ethernet ports. We are now seven weeks into the program. In the bright of May, I glanced at my router and saw that the LAN ports' LED indicators were no longer white, but A switch to 100mbps had been made on the ports. No good can come from this. It was quite surprising that the speed tests turned out well- In spite of the slow internet connection, 49MBps is still the fastest speed we've been able to achieve. There was barely enough bandwidth to reach 6MBps via the Ethernet ports. My first acts of love were all the things one does to show the We had to just reboot, power cycle, reset to factory specs, flash a new firmware, directly connect the computer to the modem (just to make sure the modem wasn't broken) and to each lan port on the computer through new cat5 and cat6 cables. . As a last resort, I shouted at it in the hope of intimidating it. It doesn't seem to be working. Based on the router management software reporting and speed tests, the ethernet ports were less than 100 Mbps, not even close to 1000 Mbps. I was not helped by the phone support. I cannot return it to Amazon since it is beyond the 30 day return period, but if I spend hours navigating a support system that directs me to do all the troubleshooting I have completed I might be able to return it for an exchange in the future. It took more than a week with no internet, and I had to pay shipping both ways. About a week after mine sent me to the hospital, my son was in the same boat. The guy bought one at Walmart, returned it without any trouble and got an ASUS replacement. I have an expensive router in cripple mode, which makes it impossible to use it. I will buy something else as soon as I can. This isn't a Netgear product. Despite the 21,500+ reviews, I learned that the product might not be a good fit for those 21500+ people. Reviewers can filter reviews by only seeing confirmed purchasers of a particular router by using the filter switch next to the stars - There is a great deal less than that. The Lone Ranger wasn't a lone ranger after all! There have also been other issues.

All of this then is a rather long-winded process. The R7000P earned just a single star by way of such a rambling explanation.
