Questions & Answers

Do you think this will work on ?

Kubuntu Linux 18 is what I'm using with it. The wiring works fine for me. I have two ETHERNET connections and I have changed both to wired. A pub (Internet) or a wired network This is a private (pvt) account. Setting the speed to 1000 Mbps and setting Full Duplex is what I did. Finally, I use a command called i from the nmcli program. Routes dot pub ipv4 In addition to the metric 150, there is a wired version ... This ensures that no matter which connection is set up first I will always get the internet on the correct subnet since pvt metric is set to 250 (this device is access to my private network). In order to create virtual machines, I use virtualbox software. The same issue occurs on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 You can now download Windows 8 here! My set up is currently set up for 2 machines and I've been able to set the metrics for each interface to make it work correctly. As of yet, no complaints have been received

How do I get this to work on OS X Can you help me with 9 computers? My computer just updated to Mavericks and I need an Ethernet ?

As of 2014, Mavericks is fully compatible with the 0 to gigabit connector For file transfers over our local area network, we have a throughput of up to 60MB/s and 1Gb/s connectivity.

Has anyone found any new drivers or has a direct link to where I can find them? I upgraded to Mavricks and the old driver no longer works. ?

Drivers have not been installed yet by the distributor - A new driver must be developed before the program will work

Designed for Windows 8 operating systems. ?

There are 3 of me. I have no trouble running 0 on 8 with no issues. You can keep it if you just remember. A continuous net usage update has been made to 1. Unless you have the latest update, you will have errors that are connected to RJ53 bus Automatically updating every day was my choice.

I broke my Nintendo Switch due to this
3/5

I would not recommend buying. I experienced a variety of issues and my Switch came close to failure because of this adapter. When I plugged everything in and attempted to set it up, the switch didn't recognize it was plugged in because the ethernet end was loose. The CAT6 cable needed to be pushed in farther and the CAT6 connector needed to be pushed forward. Once I figured that out, the switch could not identify a network. It suggested a reboot. I restarted again and opened Internet settings, then the screen froze on a gray background. In fact, the screen does not shut off when I turn it off, only the display does. The controllers are still connected, the fans are running for the first 10 seconds, but the temperature is still quite It took me a while to debug To bring it back, I had to do a level hard restart, and if I hadn't taken action sooner, it might have been severely damaged. As far as reviews go, this adapter doesn't work, and that much is obvious. However, the few dollars saved on this adapter rather than purchasing a quality adapter is not worth the risk of bricking/damaging hardware.

A product like this is crucial to any IT professional's toolkit
4/5

It is a really good product. I had a totally bonkers reaction to T). ARP/IP address issues were causing me to have problems. This issue has taken me hours to diagnose, and I have come to the conclusion that either the NIC or router needs to be replaced. In the end, I decided to buy this little guy since I couldn't really reset my router and it would be useful for future network troubleshooting. The router responded to my computer once again as soon as I plugged it in. After getting the go-ahead to blow away my router and start over, I did so. In the future, I will be able to troubleshoot future issues with this nic. *Brand new nic in my phone bag. Please do not censor the contents of this site. I'm looking for a price of As a result of the value of this product, it should be considered for inclusion in any troubleshooting kit -- A driver is one who drives I found that Windows 7 Ult had built-in drivers that worked with it. It is my understanding that Windows 10 does the same thing. Please do not censor the contents of this site. The USB 3 interface provides the following features The USB 2 port supports the USB 2. 0 standard. Please do not censor the contents of this site. It is often useful to have an extra NIC when you run into trouble. As this adapter can be used in either a laptop or a desktop computer, it is very cheap and compact, and it is highly recommended. In this day and age, companies are releasing laptops that have only WIFI, so making this tool available gives you the ability to connect through a hard line. The program can also be used Until I try it on Android, I haven't seen it work yet.

The build quality is poor, and the connection is poor
3/5

Initially failed, then started working again, then I replaced it. The same thing applies. A CHANGE of plans has been made for Tuesday, August 29. A second time I failed. Even though there is a 1-percent reduction I click on product support and I'm told that the initial warranty period ends in May 2020 (whatever that means). The product has been 6 months since My seller Cable Matters has no means of communicating with me - there is no way to contact them. The home page of their website does not provide contact details The 1-800 number I received does not appear to be operational, so I am not sure what to do there We guarantee our products for one year. If I ask them from Amazon's seller page, I will see if they respond. I am updating my post for March 21, 2020 It is my back up adapter for my Apple thunderbolt computer since I have the Apple Thunderbolt adapter. Around a month ago I decided to try again to see if this one would cooperate The answer is yes! As a result, one side of the computer has thunderbolt ports, and it is the less convenient side. So I used that one again for maybe a month, and it was fine. Then yesterday, it stopped working Could it be that the screen needs a rest? Regardless, the build quality is poor, so I have gone back to the thunderbolt. Not sure why I bother though. With Ethernet, you can get up to 325mbps, but with WiFi, it's only 260mbps One of the great things about Ethernet is that the computer is instantly woken up There's a delay between the wifi and the Mac sometimes, and since the Mac cannot be shaken, I have to actually shake it to check the time. Fortunately, the replacement item worked better today than the original one, but it failed again later today before starting to work again, then stopping again. As you can see, this is what the picture is all about. Even so, the speed, when it is working, is still quite fast Three hundred and twenty five megabits per second Which tells me that the manufacturers may have the right idea, but not the best way to execute it. There is a difference of 50mbps between my wireless internet speed and 250mbps It seems I'll have to start looking for another brand, though I was attracted to this one because of its positive The following has been updated as of A 2-star rating is based on quality a 5-star rating is based on A few hours after it stopped working, it began working again My complaint was reported here and to Amazon, and Amazon sent a replacement I am now using. I don't trust this one to keep working, so I returned it. I had previously used it and it had been working for some time. I also am not comfortable with the replacement, but I have updated my rating to 3 stars because of this. Although the port is shallow, it does secure firmly, and it easily disconnects if I move the laptop, so quality is in doubt. The ports are at a shallow depth, there is no click as it attaches securely, and the reliability is also in question. In fact, when it's going smoothly, the speed is Despite having an ISP plan that is limited to 275mbps, I still got 325mbps, so that was 5 stars. Cable Matters should have a Thunderbolt 1 or 2 to Ethernet adapter so that I do not have to use one of my two USB 3. 0 ports to connect to my router. An adapter with 0 ports is available. The Thunderbolt port is never used unless I need to charge my phone, but I need the USB ports otherwise. The following information has been updated as of November 19, 2019 This morning, the system failed abruptly. The program was tested on three Neither of them worked for me. There is no connection to the ethernet network, as detected by diagnostics. Once I've returned it for a replacement, I'll continue to update it. The speed of the WiFi is now back to its sleepytime state. On top of that, today is my birthday! The following is the latest update as of November 14, 2019 In the adapter's Ethernet port, it is not possible to plug in the full Ethernet plug there is no ethernet port. Clips don't click into the port sufficiently to indicate they are safe within--however, it's too shallow for either to happen. Consequently, it is very easy for the cable to be pulled out. I assume the problem is the cable or the device, but I rarely move the computer and that's when it disconnects. It's the only port on my computer that does this, and I can't do anything about the cable since it's running throughout my home. The ethernet plug might have become shorter recently, but really, anyone making something that takes ethernet cables should also design it to accept all types of ethernet plugs, no matter how long or short their plug is. That seems like a simple task, doesn't it? Now that I'm knocking a star off You can use it as long as the connection is secured. *A review of the original It seems like we're supposed to get 275mbps from Xfinity In my iMac with ethernet, I get that and more, but on my MacBook Air, where I am 40 feet from the modem (mostly open, with the exception of one open wall), I am only getting It feels great to finally have one of these adapters. It's a good thing my MBA (2013) is a little old and still has an ethernet port! My internet speed instantly increased to 325mbps after I connected it! In the case that the ISP promises 275mbps, by god, give me But what if it were The benefit is that I notice. I really notice. The best part is that this device will work simply, with no wireless complications, pairing, or any other hassle.

This adapter allows a MacBook Pro to connect to the Internet through an Ethernet cable
5/5

My MacBook Pro was connected to this device. As soon as I connected the cable from my home network, the adapter's lights lit up as I had expected. We turned off WiFi, ran a speed test, and this is what happened We got the speed! The WiFi connection is no longer wonky, and the download and upload speed is much faster. using it through an Anker powered USB hub, and it works seamlessly in that configuration, too. In a nutshell We're on to a.

My forgetting about it was so easy because it worked so well
5/5

Since I also use a laptop as a desktop computer, I have two computers. The docking station that I use for my computer has a USB hub that has 2 extra monitors, a keyboard, mouse, webcam, and a USB port. As a final note, I remembered that I had turned off the laptop's WiFi a long time ago since I was no longer.
