Yes, the one I got works with a standard 110-volt household outlet. Despite the fact that some older answers claimed otherwise, there is no USB power adapter included. However, because the plug converts from 110 to 5V DC, it might be possible to splice in a USB plug, as most USB outlets output 5V. Because I need to use it in my car, I might give it a try.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes I'll try to listen to something on my phone in my bedroom, wonder why the sound isn't working, and then realize I'm blasting the sound throughout my house via the downstairs speaker. Lol. So, in order to connect my device to other BT devices, I need to turn it off.
Yes, the device can be plugged into a standard household outlet with a voltage range of 100 to 240 volts AC. Ignore the previous comments from people who have no idea what they're talking about. If you want to double-check what I'm saying, look at the label on the AC power adapter. The words "INPUT:" are clearly visible. 100- 240V"br>- 240V"br>- 240V"br>- Nils
Yes, it does, or at the very least, it did in my case. I connected mine to one of the amplifier's switched outlets so that when I turn it on, it also turns on. And it appears to be effective.

Please select HELPFUL if this review is helpful in any way, positive or negative. It will motivate me to keep writing honest reviews of the products I've bought. Advantages: br>br> $Priced under $25 / Synced quickly with my phone/ Nice soft tone on speakers while syncing to let you know BT is discoverable (Note: if you don't want this, simply synch device before turning on your speaker system/ Small/ Blue light is a nice touch/ Comes with cable and power adapterbr>br>Cons: BT is not a new standard (that said, I believe new standards were designed for more than just audio and since this is a purely audio system, there does not appear to be much of a limitation), the cable provided works, but if you want high end sound you'll need better connectors (which will cost you maybe $10 to $20 depending on how high quality connectors you want to get for hooking up to this system), I understand the power adapter, but since it is 5 volts and low amper br>br>All right, let's get this party started. I've had this for a day and, as you might expect, I'm very pleased with it. The Bluetooth range is excellent, allowing me to move my phone around the house while maintaining a strong Bluetooth connection to my stereo. The only thing I don't like about writing such a review is that it serves as justification for raising the price. Okay, with that said, if the price of this fantastic device rises above $27, I'll consider my other options if I want to buy some for friends. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 9/27/2018 Yes, there was a lot of background noise at the start of my review because my neighbor is having an underground pool installed in his yard; however, this was not noise from this device. br>br>Thank you for reading my review: br>br>Once again, a big thumbs up for this review. It really exists. For more than two decades, I've been an Amazon customer. My reviews are not compensated in any way. (Not that I don't want to be there. ) ) I pay for Amazon Prime in order to take advantage of all of the benefits that come with it.
In terms of sound quality and other features, this device is fine, and I don't think anyone who only connects their phones or computers to it will have any problems. I've already encountered some issues because I have bluetooth speakers in one room and am using this to connect my phone to my main speakers in another. br>br>- First and foremost, and this is a minor point, I discovered that the DC power plug fits very loosely into the back DC power jack. I've dealt with this before on other low-cost devices, and the trick is to apply just enough force to the jack pin to change the angle in a very small way. The amount I'm referring to is so small that you wouldn't notice a difference with your own eyes. You'll break it if you do it too much. When you push the plug into the jack, you're adding a little tension from the now forced contact with the power connection on one side. That appears to have resolved the issue, but I can see any other customer being perplexed if their device continued to shut down for the same reason.
- The main annoyance with dealing with multiple bluetooth audio devices is that if you want to switch from one to the other, you have to remove it from your phone (and forget it). If you simply "disconnect" from it and reconnect to another, this receiver will make a noise every time your phone picks it up while scanning for bluetooth devices in the background. This bluetooth receiver will no longer emit that sound after you "remove" it. However, in order to reconnect with it, you must physically walk to where it is plugged in and press the large bluetooth button on the top to return it to discovery/pairing mode. I tried connecting to it without doing so, but my phone gave me a pairing error. br>br>I'm thinking of giving this to my parents after trying out another brand to see if they're any easier to work with. I'd like to be able to switch between multiple bluetooth audio devices without having to walk over to each one and press a physical button on them. That isn't something I can do with this device.
It's a fantastic way to give old equipment a new lease on life. I connected it to a small Onkyo amp that I used to love but had long since become obsolete. This is no longer the case. I plugged the device's power supply into the amp's switched outlet, and now whenever I want my computer audio to play through a "real" system, I simply turn on the amp like I used to, and the Floyd has never sounded better. br>I had tried everything under the sun, including numerous Bluetooth speaker setups, but nothing compares to the versatility of running old, but high power/quality, equipment and speakers like this unit does. br>I had tried everything under the sun, including numerous Bluetooth speaker setups, but nothing compares to the versatility of running old, but high power/quality, equipment and speakers like this unit does. (I took the unit out of the under amp for the photo, but it is usually under amp and emits only a faint blue glow. ) Looks fantastic. ).
