Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get 120hz with this on a PS5?

So far, we've discovered that the HDMI 2 has issues. For a large number of PS5s, just one chip is required. You can try connecting your PS5 with a different HDMI cable to see if that fixes the EDID issues; if it doesn't, Sony may need to release a firmware update to fix the bad EDID handshake that causes the system to not recognize the monitor's 120hz capability. This monitor will be 120hz capable on the PS5 once Sony releases a firmware update.

If I buy this monitor, what gaming computer should I get?

First and foremost, you must ensure that the PC tower/graphics card has the same video connections as the monitor in order to display a picture: (DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, and other similar options are available.)

Is audio available through the HDMI port, or must you use a separate audio in connector?

With an HDMI cable, the HDMI ports should be able to output sound to the monitor; if you require further assistance, please contact us at SceptreTS@Sceptre. Please contact us at [email protected] so that we can help you.

el modelo de 24 pulgadas puede llegar hasta 180hz, pero con overclock o regular con el display port?y también viene con el descriptivo cablede 180hz?

If you bring your own cable, make sure it's set to 180 hz.

As a gamer myself, I can attest to the fact that this is a fantastic deal
5/5

This monitor is a beast and can definitely overclock to 185hz with DP connection to your system if it supports it. I've spent my entire life playing with 60hz, but this monitor is a beast and can definitely overclock to 185hz with DP connection to your system if it supports it. There were no dead pixels when I first opened the box, and there were none after about two weeks of ownership. I initially thought the color quality was poor, but there is a saturation configuration setting on the monitor itself, which is simple to adjust and results in bright and vibrant colors, which is exactly what I need as a gamer who plays a lot of games. If you're a competitor, you won't have to worry about your frame because I guarantee it will be massive. Overall, this monitor has allowed me to completely eliminate any mechanical issues that were slowing down my gameplay, and the only factor that will affect your frame rate is the strength of your wifi/internet connection. I'd give this monitor a ten out of ten for any gamer looking for a good time.

The product did not turn on when it was supposed to
3/5

As a result, I came across other reviews that addressed the same problem I was having. The monitor did not turn on when I turned it on. After some investigation, I discovered that the power supply was malfunctioning. So you'll never know unless you put in the effort to figure it out for yourself. BUYERS, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THESE POWER SUPPLIES DO NOT WORK. SCEPTRE, you owe me a power supply for my monitor because the monitor itself is excellent. Please resurrect the 12V power supply so that I may reclaim my spare! Take a look at the ratings. It has an impact.

It will not power up
3/5

I plugged it in right away and it wouldn't turn on; it wasn't the power cable because I referred it out; it was something in the monitor. I'd be grateful if someone could assist me.

Only on DP can you get 185hz
5/5

I received the monitor in perfect condition, and it powers up. There are no dead pixels, which is fantastic! Because I was also connecting my PlayStation 4, I needed a 1080p panel. The PS4 limit is 60hz, which looks fantastic, but if you have a DP-enabled GPU, you're in for a real treat. I've put all of my games through their paces on this little gem, and it hasn't let me down! No matter how hard I tried, 185hz works, AMD freesync works, and there is no screen tearing! I really like the VA panel, and it has a really fast refresh rate!.

If you don't get a dud, it's not bad
4/5

I thought this monitor was too good to be true for the price when I got it in late August of this year, and it turned out that it was, because it randomly shut down one day. I assumed it had died at that point, but I was able to reactivate it by unplugging it from the wall for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. However, the problem of the lights turning off at random persisted. It's impossible to use a monitor that shuts down. Hopefully, there is a way to resolve this, but based on past experience, my 230 dollars was completely wasted! br>br>Update 1/28/21: I will never buy another sceptre product in my life! Sceptre was able to repair my monitor for free, which was fortunate because my unit had completely stopped working not long after I had written my initial review. I've been using it without issue for about a week now, so I'll write a more detailed review. This was my very first DP monitor, and it has proven to me that DP is far superior to HDMI. I have yet to encounter any signal loss as a result of using the included cable. The monitor itself takes about 3 seconds to boot up, so when I turn on my PC and then my monitor, I usually get the Windows login screen. To my eyes, the colors on the screen are vibrant. In a good number of games, my RX 580 8GB can run at 144hz. Certain games have ruined me after playing with a higher refresh rate, and I can barely stand playing at 60hz. Consider the following scenario: Doom, Killing Floor 2, Fallout 4, and Rocket League are among the games that have been released recently. I noticed that Sceptre advertises a frequency range of up to 165hz, but there is only a 144 or 185hz option in Windows settings, not 165. When I tried 185hz with overdrive on, I noticed a little more ghosting. I'm sure AMD drivers can fix this, but I haven't bothered because 144 looks fantastic to me. Instead of just on or off, I believe overdrive should have a variable setting. When content is played at 60 frames per second while the screen is set to 144 frames per second, it can look jittery. Setting the monitor to 60 will help to smooth it out a little, but it will still appear juttery. As a result, if you're playing a game at 60 frames per second and you drop frames, you'll notice it a lot more. It's really not that bad if you can just put up with it. The colors alone are enough to keep me playing games like Red Dead 2 (which runs at 60 frames per second on my setup). ) If you're coming from a monitor with a lower refresh rate, you'll notice the extra fluidity in motion right away. Keep in mind that with older cards, you'll most likely need to lower your in-game in-game score. To keep a constant 144, change the game settings. Another point to consider is that 1080p is quickly being phased out in favor of 1440p, which I understand. Although 1080p is superior to 720p, pixels can be seen even at close range. Aliasing, for example, will stand out, and lower settings will make it worse. I was in desperate need of an upgrade before purchasing this monitor, and I believe I got one for a good price; in the future, I'd like to upgrade to a 1440p setup, but that will have to wait until I can afford a new graphics card, CPU, and monitor. My experience with this monitor began on a shaky note, but now that it's been repaired, I'm hoping it won't break down again. I will be purchasing from a different brand after receiving a unit that failed, despite the fact that this was my first Sceptre product. Overall, I enjoy this monitor when it works. Thanks.

A fantastic Gsync/freesync 185hz monitor for under $300
5/5

I don't usually write reviews. For the first time in history. But I figured I'd do it for this product so that others wouldn't be as hesitant to buy it as I was. First and foremost, if you connect this to a display port, it will run at a BEAUTIFUL 185hz. I was used to a 60hz monitor, and this one blows it out of the water. In my opinion, a sweet spot of 27" with the curve is ideal. The back logo glows, which was not included in the previous model. Colors are vibrant, viewing angles are wide, and it supports Gsync if you have an Nvidia card, as I do, and want to take advantage of that feature. It worked perfectly after I enabled Gsync in my nvidia settings and turned on free sync on the monitor. Vsync was disabled in all of my games, and not a single tear was shed. Look no further if you're looking for a cheap 185Hz monitor under $300. This is a fantastic device. I would give it a 10/10.

For the price, I really like the monitor!! The monitor is fine, but the delivery is a complete no-no! There is a hole almost all the way through the monitor and the strap is broken off when you try to remove it! The same monitor that I already have is being used for this review!! PS: The 144Hz and 185 Hz frequencies are the same thing! Have 3
