Selected User Reviews For Sceptre 24" Professional Thin 75Hz 1080p LED Monitor 2x HDMI VGA Build-in Speakers, Machine Black (E248W-19203R Series)

This monitor has left a lasting impression on me! This is an excellent purchase, particularly for gamers! I have a GTX 1060 laptop, and the setup was simple with no need for calibration; in fact, I would venture to say that this monitor looks better at 1080p than my own laptop screen
5/5

br>br>At first, I thought it didn't support 75Hz because the colors were washed out and the screen was too bright; also, the nvidia panel said 1080p at 60Hz, but this is how you fix it. "CALIBRATION"br>br>1. "CALIBRATION"br>br>2. "CALIBRATION"br>br>3. "CALIBRATION"br>br>4. "CALI br>Connect via HDMI br>br>br>br>br> Open Display settings and ensure that only the second display is turned on; duplicate or extend should not be selected.
3. Navigate to "Change Resolution" in the Nvidia control panel. br>4. You'll see two lists, one that says HD, UHD, and so on, and the other that says "PC" at the bottom. Changing the first list will project your laptop screen to the second screen, but because your laptop runs at 60Hz and the monitor runs at 75Hz, the colors will be washed out. Changing the second list will basically use your laptop to power up the monitor at full 75Hz 1080p with the proper color calibration. )
5. Change the resolution to 1080p and 75Hz on list two "PC"br>br>And there you have it, you can now use your 75Hz monitor for gaming. Make sure to change the settings in games individually to 75Hz or they will continue to run at 60Hz, washing out the colors. br>br>Now for the reviewbr>br>*** REVIEW **
The screen resolution is full 1920x1080p at 75Hz, the colors are very accurate, and it looks nothing like a TN panel. I'd say it's somewhere in between a TN and an IPS panel, but closer to IPS. br>br>It comes with speakers that are adequate for the price, but I recommend using headphones or your own speakers if you plan on using it for gaming. br>br>This is what's included in the boxbr>- Observebr>- 4 mounting screws br>- Two screws for mounting the monitor (non-adjustable height) Cable that converts HDMI to VGAbr>- VGA to VGA cablebr>br>Even if you're not a gamer, this monitor is a great value for the money, and it comes with two cables. br>br>However, one thing to keep in mind is that in games, the difference between 60Hz and 75Hz is difficult to notice. It wasn't much better than 60FPS to play Witcher 3 and Rise of Tomb Raider at a fixed 75FPS. It is, however, a step forward. br>br>One final point to consider if you're deciding between a 75Hz and a 144Hz monitorbr>- If you have a graphics card like the GTX 770,970,1060, you won't be able to use a 144Hz monitor because most games (witcher, call of duty, battlefield) won't go back to 80 frames per second on ultra or high graphics, so I recommend this one. Unless you play at a medium or low level.
- If you have a graphics card like the GTX 770,780,980,1070, or higher, I recommend the 144Hz monitor because it can run most tiles at well above 100FPS, allowing you to fully utilize the monitor. br>br>*** UPDATE **
Earlier in this review, I stated that the difference between 60Hz and 75Hz was insignificant; however, I retract that statement. br>br>I played on my laptop, which is limited to 60Hz, and it feels bad and sluggish in comparison to 75Hz; once you go higher refresh rate, you can never go back. br>br>It's one of those things you don't notice until it's gone, great improvement.

It appeals to me, but I am not enamored with it
3/5

because there are valid reasons   The monitor is ideal for gaming on both a computer and a console. My PC pc can benefit from the 75hz refresh rate, and the auto power on and auto source switching features are useful. I also save a lot of time with my setup thanks to the audio out port. The flaws are where this product loses stars. There are some pixels that are overly bright, but they are only visible on all white screens. In addition, there is a mark on the screen that appears to be a piece of plastic. I'm not a professional gamer or content creator, so I'm not interested in selling it or getting a new one. I'll keep using it and appreciating the positive aspects of it. If it weren't for the scars, it'd be a five-star rating.

My go- to be used with office monitors I needed two new monitors for a new PC in the office, and I chose this because it was the best value in terms of size vs

price, and I'd previously purchased these for clients who were pleased with them. I gave my monitors away after hearing complaints about the colors being washed out, deciding that if there were any issues with these, I'd either live with it or fix it. br>br>The monitors were fine right out of the box; the only complaint I have is that the VESA mounts are lower on the back due to the slim design. After reviewing the settings, I determined that I didn't need to recalibrate the screens in any way for my role as an IT manager. Granted, I spend the majority of my time staring at text documents, network equipment configuration pages, and my company's accounting software. I couldn't comment on color calibration for people who work in video or photography. br>br>One considered the others who were seeing washed-out colors - When a computer outputs HDMI, it's almost as if it's expecting to be connected to a television. Black levels on televisions and monitors can differ, resulting in a washed-out appearance. If this happens to you, look in your graphics driver's control panel. You should be able to correct the problem by adjusting the black levels. This has been a major factor in my decision to prefer HDMI to anything else. (For what it's worth, the Display Port is king. ).

Just take a deep breath and relax; it only cost $104
5/5

If you're rating this as if you bought a $500 top-of-the-line gaming monitor, you're the one with problems, not the product. For under $120, this monitor far exceeded my initial expectations; as for longevity, we'll have to wait and see. The picture quality is excellent, and the bezels are small and attractive. It came with an HDMI cable (which I wasn't expecting) as well as spacers for wall mounts and other mounting kits. If you're into tweaking, there's a usable UI for you. I literally just put it together, plugged it in, and voila, you're done. This review is based on the fact that it cost only $104 when I ordered it. What else can be said? 24 inches equals 24 inches, 75 hertz equals 75 hertz, colors equal colors, and cords equal cords! It is highly recommended for the price, and expectations were met. Don't try to review a monitor that costs less than $120 as if it were a $500 god-send. such as a gaming accessory br>To summarize, the monitors are monitors, the cords are cords, and the stand is a stand. Cough into your elbow, slow down to a crawl, and avoid going to Walmart to look at electronics during a pandemic. br>Recently updated- Jan 2021- It turns out that while in virtual reality, you should avoid sitting near anything valuable. Even after I accidentally smacked/punched it in virtual reality, it continued to work flawlessly. At least for the first eight or nine times. Unfortunately, the final hit did it in for good, but it was clearly not the fault of the brand; so, don't tell yourself you'll never do something again (sit too close to the monitor), but then do it over and over again expecting a different result. So, what exactly is the definition of insanity? 🤔.
