Purchasing the P3421W was more of a KVM buy than anything else. It was my first Ultrawide and first Curved screen. Despite being smaller than two 1080p screens, the size is a reasonable alternative for dual screens. It is, however, still smaller than two 1080p screens, as you would expect from Initially, I noticed the curve was strange, but after a day I stopped noticing it at all. It's the KVM that gets me riled up. It lets me switch from a Mac to a PC without a hassle. It's not big enough (and I don't need PIP/PBP) for me to use those features. If the machine that just woke up has already been in sleep mode, it's always a gamble if switching from one input to the other will produce an audible signal. When a monitor is flipped back and forth between inputs, it can become unresponsive'both its joystick and power button will fail to work, and the monitor will need to be unplugged for it to work again. It appears that the monitor's firmware has been corrupted (I have updated it to the latest version). Overall, I cannot give it a higher rating than an average unless this is resolved.

In terms of aesthetics, the monitor looks good even though it's a bit boring from the outside. has a low brightness level, but what bothered me the most was the lack of sharp text. I love the monitor. It is super bright and a nice size. Most users should be able to accommodate this amount of screen space, in my opinion. one I received had a little flickering, which made it a little uncomfortable to look at, so I returned it. Based on my experience, I think it is related to the one I had and not a problem inherent to the computer. Still have not placed an order for a replacement.

Monitors are really cool to me. As it runs at 60Hz, it meets the requirements of Apple. Those are not compatible if you are thinking a 120Hz monitor is better. The one to get is this one. There are some things to note, for example, the PBP works great but the monitor switching is accomplished via a physical switch, such as a It seems that the software designed for managing screens does not work on Mac or Linux systems. Yet there are some open source options offered by third parties. This monitor has made me very happy My old nvidia GT3 something can't support full resolution, so I can't run it at full resolution. The picture looks great even at 2560x1080. The grainy look is caused by running the monitor at a resolution lower than it is natively able to handle. In spite of the fact that it is not as sharp as the full resolution, it does not look too My first major issue with it was that my mouse was extremely jumpy when I first plugged it in. There were no answers to my problems when I searched around for help. The mouse did not work when I reduced the resolution to 1280x1024, which I knew wasn't true because the mouse worked perfect at 1280x1024 resolution. I tried switching to a lower widescreen resolution, but it didn't help. I spent some time messing around with the various settings apps and discovered that NVidia was treating this as a television by default. The refresh rate was 24hz, which means 24 frames per second. So it makes sense that I had trouble using my mouse. When I switched from TV to monitor mode, it brought the refresh rate up to 30hz at 3440*1440, so I wasn't as choppy, but there was still some judder. The refresh rate went up to 60 Hz when I changed the resolution to 2560x1080.
