Questions & Answers

Is it possible to bracket this monitor?

The monitor comes with a 100x100mm VESA mount. This mount is available for you to use. http://www.topproducts24.com/mounting-systems/ dream- md2463/ md2463/ md2463/

Is it true that 144hz is being used?

I have proof if you want it. It says 144hz, but I can push it to 165hz.

When it comes to freesync, what is the range? I'm looking for a monitor that supports 144hz freesync, which is usually found in monitors that are 48-inch or smaller. Range of 75 hz ?

The frequency is as follows: VGA/HDMI 30-VGA/HDMI-30VGA/HDMI-30V DP 85-KHz, 85-KHz, 85-KHz, 85-KHz, 85 85 kHz br>V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V The frequency is as follows: 48- 75Hz

144 Hz via displayport and 75 Hz via HDMI?

On this monitor, both HDMI and DP support up to 144hz.

At 24in, 144hz, and IPS, it's a first on Amazon
4/5

It is adequate for the task. Sorry, but when it comes to color calibration, I don't have much to offer. You'd have to wait for professional monitor reviewers like rtings( to return their results. )com, as well as othersbr>Benefits:
- Upon arrival, there are no dead pixels (this varies by customer)br>- When Overdrive is set to normal, rather than extreme, Freesync works. br>- They have an analog stick that you can use to change the settings on your monitor. br>- IPS at 144hz 1080p at 24in is fantastic (which is why this monitor gets so many points)br>- Compatible with the VESA standardbr> Better than TN and VA panels (though colors aren't as vibrant as IPS)br>- HDMI 2. a score of 0 is acceptablebr>- Cons: Colors that are not in the box are acceptable. br>
- The monitor construction is flimsy and cheap, but this is where Acer cut corners to make it more of a budget-friendly build at 144hz. br>- When Freesync is enabled, Overdrive at Extreme does not work (in my experience; yours may differ). br>- ON THE STAND, THERE IS NO SWIVEL OR HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT. br>- It's a 6 bit FRC panel with a brightness of only 250 cd/m2 (though I don't notice any color depletion)br>- The gamer aesthetic is a little too much for me, but that's a personal preference.
- It does not include a DisplayPort cable. br>- IPS bleeding (but this is just a predisposition of IPS panels; if you know what IPS issues are, this isn't really a con)br>- When VRB is set to normal or extreme, the brightness drops dramatically. br>br>The true score is a 3. If color accuracy is what you want from a 24in 144hz IPS monitor, you'll have to wait. br>br>Even with multiple flaws (more cons than pros), I believe acer did a decent job with this budget friendly monitor because the main selling point (IPS 24in 144hz) does its job well enough to overlook the monitor's flaws.

Although the monitors are excellent, something very basic has been overlooked
3/5

The panel itself, as others have stated, is excellent with few flaws. The software has a significant flaw. I'm surprised that something so basic was overlooked, but when the monitor is power cycled, the custom RGB values are lost. The sliders retain their values, but the monitor does not register the change until you return to the menu and edit one of the values, which should have been easily detected in testing.

Monitor of Phenomena - Acer Nitro VG240Y Pbiip (Acer Nitro VG240Y Pbiip = Acer Nitro VG240Y Update: When I bought it (in September), I had no idea what I was getting myself into
5/5

In the year 2019, this was the only 144hz IPS 1080p display available for less than $200. - Colors and viewing angles are excellent on this 144Hz IPS display. br> My monitor's backlighting is very consistent (although it will likely differ from monitor to monitor)br>- This display is compatible with the G-series of televisions. Syncing via Display Port was very successful in the Nvidia pendulum demobr>- 100mm x 100mm VESA mounting - Change monitor settings with the control nubbr>- With the exception of the gamer, he has a subdued appearance. There is only one minor annoyance
5/5

I've purchased a lot of monitors in the last few months and had to return them due to a defect, and I had no idea that getting a perfect screen with no bleed or dead pixels is difficult these days. My first monitor didn't even turn on when I bought it. The second and third ones had ghosting in the right corner of the screen, while the fourth had a small ghosting spot on the monitor's top. This is the fifth in the series. However, I have yet to notice any glow, dead pixels, or ghosting. In the top part of the screen, I noticed what appears to be a small speck of dust. It's almost as if there's a dead pixel that can be seen through. I initially assumed it was dirt on the screen that wouldn't come off with a wipe. So now I'm debating whether to keep it or return it because I don't want to risk getting a worse one. What makes getting a perfect screen so difficult? br>br>Update *November 27 2019
Amazon sent me a new one, and the screen is still working fine. There are no flaws or flaws at all. Is a good monitor if it doesn't have any dead pixels or other issues.

Dead pixels should be avoided at all costs
3/5

After a long search, I was ecstatic to find a 1080p IPS 144hz Adaptive sync monitor; the first one I purchased had one dead pixel in the center of the screen. I figured it was just bad luck, so I went ahead and ordered a new one from Amazon. My second replacement had two dead pixels when it arrived. I'm not sure if I've just had bad luck or if there's a QA issue with these panels on Acer's end. I'm debating whether I should try again or look for a different make and model. br>br>If it weren't for the dead pixels, this monitor would easily be a five star. Colors are vibrant, viewing angles are good, gsync works flawlessly (nvidia 10xx series or higher cards required), IPS glow is minimal, and there is no back light bleed that I could see. So, buyers beware; if you're willing to take a chance, go ahead and do so. It's a keeper for sure if it doesn't have any dead pixels.
