The SCSI cable that connects this unit to the monitor is its own. Iomega has a special end that mounts to the device, and not the standard plug, so you must use this
The keyboard must have an SCSI interface in order to work.
Are you using a sealed, unopened drive? If yes, how did you get it? There is a cable and blank disk included with it.

The money was a waste. I tried it, but it did not work. All of my old disks were useless at the time, and I could not plug it into the computer.

I was so happy to be able to find this product on Amazon after looking for it for a long time.
It was excellent.
Any Macintosh or Windows user looking for a machine that bridges the gap between the two will find the Zip 250 to be the best choice. It is available in USB and SCSI forms, both of which make it portable. It can be used on any other platform except video, making it the perfect solution for anyone who creates anything in another platform but videos. Please cross-reference the following If you are editing videos across multiple platforms, a Jaz drive makes more sense. In addition, it can really save you money if you're In spite of the fact that you start out spending more than a Zip 100, you will spend much less on disks later on. In the long run, since 250mb disks are on par with 100mb disks, you'll find that your overall storage costs will be cheaper. It can be argued that upgrading will save you time and effort since you won't need to abandon your existing Zip library. There is real backward compatibility between zip 100s and the product, and most of the issues are easily resolved. When you try to save large (over 15mb) files to a Zip 100, it may take a while since it has to compile it before you can save it. In fact, it can be painful- It will take a little longer than if you were using a Zip 100 drive, but for most people this is not an issue. Although transferring large multimedia files from your 100mb disk library to 250mb might make more sense if you have large multimedia files on 100mb Despite the fact that both versions of this product aren't recommended for use with only 100MB disks, I still recommend them. In reality, however, the real question is whether you should get an SCSI or a USB drive. In its initial condition, the SCSI external is twice as fast as the USB, but it is In order to use the SCSI version, you have to have SCSI cards installed on every computer that will be using the drive. Almost no computers, whether they are PCs or Macs, come with SCSI cards installed. There are no installed SCSI cards, so you will need to buy new hardware to get your computer(s) up to speed immediately. Furthermore, you will need to deal with the fact that most unknown computers lack a SCSI card. Meanwhile, the entirely more portable USB version, though slower by default, can be made to operate at the same speed as the SCSI version. If you connect the FireWire adapter to the drives, there is no difference. There is a FireWire port on all Macs and an increasing number of PCs since the G3 generation. The adapter can be removed if you encounter a computer without FireWire- if that is the case, go back to your standard USB connection Even if you consider it "slow" it's still rather fast.
Despite the limitations of either form, you must spend some extra money if you want both best speeds and You are probably better off with a SCSI Zip if you do not plan on traveling to computers you are familiar with that have SCSI capability. You can use a USB Zip 250 drive with a FireWire adapter on the majority of computers, but if you want the fastest and largest Zip drive, you should buy a USB Zip 250 with a FireWire adapter.
have two PCs and 1 laptop, and we use them together as a family. My wife and I bought a 250 MB Iomega Zip drive a few weeks ago, and we have found that it is a wonderful tool for file sharing between our new and not so new PCs. My computer and my husband's computer were able to transfer several programs It was possible to create extra hard drive space on one of the older models by moving some programs to the zip drive, which came in handy as it was able to serve as a 'slave' drive on a second PC. Also, I was able to move several mailing lists from one computer to another (which I took 8 hours to create and write!) without having to go through the entire process again Make sure all the information is entered. I have saved myself a lot of money on hard drive upgrades and in time typing over 400 mailing labels for our local VFW post if I had to buy another software package. Great tool! Thanks so much!
