It is said that it will work, but that it is dependent on the converter. You can always get a USB drive, any size between 100 and 250 MB will suffice. Only 100 discs could be read by the 750.
As long as the Zip drive is connected to the computer that is running Windows 10, everything should be fine. The zip drive will be recognized by Windows 10 because all Zip drive drivers are preloaded. If you want to get information off the disks, they must have been created for a PC (PC formatted); if they were created for a Mac, you'll need a Mac. The only other point I'd make is that a zip 100 or 250 drive is required for 100 disks. If the disks are 250 MB, you'll need a 250 MB or 750 MB drive. If they're 750 disks, you'll need a 750 drive (keep in mind that a 750 drive can only read 100 disks). As a result, you can read information from 100 disks but not write to them) in addition. I just finished writing a Zip 100 Drive review, so look up Reviews under my nickname and 'zip' (or look up All My Reviews, as the Zip review will appear alongside this one). br>br>Basically, these old Zip drives are required to allow your DOS machines to communicate with your newer Windows machines. And you, your parents, or your grandparents will have such old files (I'm 59, so I guess I'm a grandmother). So give it to them as a gift, or take it over to their house and assist them in preserving the old files. Because you'll need those old files at some point, for nostalgia, tax, or legal reasons.
The operating system must be Windows 95. To use this item, you must have Windows 95 installed on your computer. For the love of God, who still uses Windows 95?.
This drive is not well made, despite its convenience and utility. I've owned several of these models, and they don't last long and are poorly constructed.
Both the front and back lights were turned on, but nothing happened. A web search revealed that the power supply was defective. Following up on the investigation, it was discovered that the drive came with the wrong power supply, which costs more than the drive itself!.
This product's marketing was ineffective. Amazon has an advertisement. com stated that this product connects to a computer via a UCB port, which was confirmed by Amazon personnel over the phone prior to purchase.
