There is a USB version available of this unit which can be used by both Mac and PC systems. This is an internal ATAPI drive, so the unit may not work with a Mac. The Comet Enterprises team thanks you for the opportunity, *br>
The Zip 750 is able to read/write a zip 250 disk, but only reads a zip 100 disk. Thanks for asking, and good luck. I thank you for your inquiry, CometEnterprises

I wanted to let you know that Amazon carries Zip 750 disks. Is there a need for a certain number? I thank Comet Enterprises for the invite.

I found this item to be of excellent quality. The old school in me is still alive. The Zip Drive app is still available to me from time to time. There was one star taken off since the picture was supposed to be black, but when delivered it was white/beige.
It is still a great value even if it is.
There is a lot of convenience in the zip format. It has been a long time since I've used them. It doesn't matter what envelope I use, I used to mail the 100mb disks overseas A very reliable source. Are you talking about the My experience has been that it is not so reliable. The Zip disk on which I was saving my files and music just died on me. After a few minutes, it was so badly corrupted that it was impossible for MS Windows to even see it or format it. A failure of the hardware. I was no longer able to use the "convenient" back-up Disks that are as dead as they get. This was not the first time I was killed by my own hand. In essence, it is the disk, not the drive, that makes the drive useful. Without the disk, the drive is useless. My next step was to contact Iomega support. We had to contact them because the support on the website was terrible. The staff was very friendly, but the disk could not be replaced. Even though the disk is covered by a five-year warranty, it isn't going to matter. That's not what I meant. To prove my purchase, I had to produce the receipt. The 750mb disk format was not even released for five years so logic cannot support that request. What is the purpose of keeping a receipt for a Sadly, Iomega and I have ended their relationship after almost ten years together. I expect the media to be reliable when I back up data.
An advantage of the zip drive over a CDROM is the speed at which backups can be made. burning programs take several minutes to burn a backup CD. It takes a few seconds for a Zip drive to open By dragging and dropping. It might be a better idea to use a CDROM for an archive of files. In comparison, though, if you simply need a temporary backup (and I always make a backup of the novel I am working on after even the slightest modification), a Zip will be faster. Additionally, the Zip 750's response time is considerably faster than the Zip 250's. You can get it out in half a second when you click on the button.
It now sits in one of my retro computers and is an excellent retro item. From the USA to the UK, the deliver was really fast, arriving within four days of placing the order. The seller is definitely a great seller to deal with.
