my system after reformatting it to Apple's journaled HFS+ file system, there were 248.125.304.832 free bytes. A raw capacity of 248.437,014,528 bytes was used.
This works very well and very fast. It has a nice even load between 21MBPS and 30MBPS A 31 MBPS connection. This settles down evenly between these two numbers and loads in almost the exact number across the entire (in my case) music file until all of them are It was about 28MBPS for me. The NTFS file format is what I use. Maybe exFat would be a little faster or slower, but I haven't tried it since it was OK and I didn't want to format the drive in order to see what would happen. performed a fast format at the beginning of the process to leave the drive completely empty because I had no need for lock My 'assumption' is that it works as described. I was not able to detect any errors during playback. It was functional and the fit was perfect from the Rxer to the car to the computer. The drive inserts smoothly and does not collapse when inserted. I've been using Sandisk drives for years and they have always been well made, and most importantly, reliable, but this model has very little heat build up and overall it is one of the best I've ever used. It is the exact opposite of a certain company that starts with a 'P', which is guaranteed to eventually fail and thus loss of 5600 songs can be disastrous. This issue of getting the songs to play in the same order they appear on the CD is one I've encountered continuously and I have yet to figure out how to fix that, despite using all USB devices. Though I'm sure there must be a way, I have not been able to figure out how to do this on any brand. Any suggestions gratefully received. It is a winner aside from the fact that it is $11 and it is a winner. It is a good deal to buy a new one for just 99 dollars. No problems so far, Paul, after a year and a half
This device is recognized as a removable drive in Windows, but it functions just like a regular hard drive. As long as your BIOS allows you to boot from a removable USB drive, you can use it as a boot drive as well.
Selected User Reviews For SanDisk 128GB Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive - SDCZ48-128G-U46
It only takes one bad experience to ruin a brand for you, and I normally don't write reviews. The first time I've ever had one brick on me came from a SanDisk product, but after some research, it's actually not uncommon. The drives are susceptible to going into "Write Protected" mode where you can no longer add or remove any files. As a result, it becomes "Read Only," so you are stuck with whatever is on it. I've tried several ways to remove the write protection from my drive, but according to SanDisk's site, there is no way to remove it or reformat it. This means that there is a bug in this specific drive. It is a known fact that SanDisk has continued to sell these products to customers who are not aware.
Despite being a plastic flash drive, it runs exceptionally hot. Even while plugged into a USB extension cable without reading or writing, the USB connector gets extremely warm. This issue does not happen with any other flash drive I have tried, although I understand that metal cases also have this issue. Second, not only are write operations slow, but they are painfully slow for small files as well. This fact was highlighted in comments here, so I should have paid more attention to them.
After researching, I purchased the SanDisk Extreme CZ80 64 GB flash drive to replace it. The drive also runs much cooler and has a much faster write speed for large files and 5 times as fast for small files (for NTFS formatted drives). Especially since I was able to get it on a Daily Deal for just $7 more than the Ultra CZ48, it's still worth the money even if you have to pay twice as much. It is not recommended that you buy the Ultra CZ48, but the Extreme CZ80 is a good choice.
However, when I tried to use them on 5/30/2018, they both stopped working after a few minutes. After I ran a disk benchmark on one drive, I observed that it went into "write protected mode" right away. ** I tried the second drive and tried to format it to NTFS, but failed and it went into "write protected mode. " This is the knowledge base entry from Sandisk
Where a flash drive detects a potential fault within itself, it can cause a write protection error. In order to prevent data loss, the drive will enter write-protected mode. A fix exists for this problem, but it's not easy. '

With SanDisk Ultra USB 3. 0, you can store all of your files in one place You can expect the Flash Drive to work perfectly. The card seems to work pretty fast for transferring data to and from it. A sliding button is used to slide in and out the USB connector of this drive. The drive is about standard size. A blue light shows that the device is ready and the transfer activity is taking place. There is a label on the drive that tells you which side of it needs to be turned up before it can be inserted. dislike drives where you have to turn one way and then the other, because it's impossible to tell just by looking at them which end molded hole at one end, through which the drive could be hung My only negative is that there is only one negative found in this review, which is why I gave it only a four Why the review was for only four stars rather than five has to do with the software on the drive. There is a program that I believe is connected to After I ran it, it recognized that there was an update for the program, downloaded the update, but then it refused to This flash drive was purchased for full Amazon price on my own initiative.
