Amazon said it was like new and was selling it preowned. My unit came with all the parts already assembled and was not too heavy to remove the side panels and front door from it. To get it to be right side up, I flipped it over so it would swing open from the other side, and took off and remounted the rails. Four 2x6s were put up against the block wall in the laundry room to hang it two 3/8" x 3" lags were put in two of the 2x6s, then it could be lifted into place by me. There were two lags with washers in two other holes on the top and four holes on the bottom. The top of the rack is equipped with a fan kit (SRFANWM) for the purpose of exhausting hot air. A 2-unit surge protector that is light and portable Light panels, a 2u Gator plexi security panel with a 1u shelf behind it with the cable modem, router, VOIP adapter, and Echo Connect on it, and a 1u shelf with my "server" on it that takes up 4u. Lastly, as an accent just for fun, I fitted a "SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee Indoor RGBW Starter Kit" onto the inside of the front of the rack. With the exception of the accent lights and Echo Connect, the UPS supplies power to everything. After using double-sided tape to hold the door latches in place, I used a thin strip of aluminum to secure it to the unit since the only pressure on it will come from pressing it into the double-sided tape when someone tries to open the door without first opening the cabinet.

The rack is a good size, but the pallets contain a lot of products. I understand, but there are literally no protections in place for that. In spite of that, the bag I received had a huge hole in the side. I think it slid into something or a forklift driver fell asleep while operating it. Besides a small room (about 50 square feet) for which I just needed to drop the temperature by a few degrees (nothing drastic), I also used the SRCOOL2KWM as a car cooler. This unit wasn't able to cool the room, or even keep it at the same temperature, so it heated the room Whenever I had two doors wide open, it blew out hot air only when I had two doors open at the same time An ebb. When I called for assistance, they told me that I didn't have enough airflow in the room, which I find hard to believe since I already have two outdoor circulating vent fans that prevent heat accumulation in the room. When I talked to customer support, I was told I needed an air conditioner for this device to work properly. My overall impression of this rack is that it is great. I was able to fit a depth server into it nicely), it's the right height (depending on the casters, which I got at Lowe's in different diameters), and it's I am a bit annoyed with some minor things that I feel are cheap. It does appear there was poorly done welding or bending under the surface that wasn't properly smoothed before finishing, since certain spots have extremely uneven surfaces. The thing that really irritates me is that the rails have stickers on the unit markings! They also do not seem to be on a very straight course. Overhanging the square holes, they can cause the retention clip to become stuck beneath the sticker when trying to install a cage nut. In addition, if it goes over the sticker, it will wrinkle it slightly. I suppose it is not the end of the world, but it just feels and looks really If they were going to charge $350 for this, I would have expected the numbers to be painted on the rails or at the very least the stickers to be The panels on the side panels are another complaint. Someone complained that they almost fell on their foot while opening a side panel in a review, and I thought, "Haha, some people need to learn how to use these things better". My next impulse was to follow my friend's example. Nubs on the side panels hold them in place, but they are very small (the panel falls out after just a few degrees of opening). If I replace the nubs on the sides with actual hinges in the future, I may do so. My previous experience with side panels for racks gave me a better chance to get a firm grip on the panel before it fell My overall feeling is that I am happy with this Perhaps in the near future I will try to adjust or replace.

This is the 12U unit that I have. It's built to last and is of excellent quality. I love the fact that you can swing the cabinet open to get to the back of the device and it makes things easy for me. If there is one thing I would suggest, it would be to go larger than It would be nice to have it.
