NAS with 9 drives in a compact form factor
5/5

A lot of people who are looking for NAS units already have some experience with NAS units and how they can be used in practical settings. main advantage of this unit is that it comes with 9 drives in the same footprint as a unit with 5 drives. Qnap uses the same interface for all of their network drives if you are familiar with the product. The pros include The device has an excellent form factor and comes with SSD cache support
It is easy to use and plug and play
It works with remote, local, and other NAS storage devices

Cons Uses a conventional RAID array. Support for hybrid vehicles is not available.

This is important Putting it near your router is not a good idea
4/5

If there are EMI issues on the I/O ports, the port will be flagged. As a whole A powerful network appliance with a lot of drive bays to upgrade over time. Make sure to use HDDs from NAS drives for long-term drive life. Consider getting plex set up as quickly as possible, and having a look at its Unless you have an unofficial app that mounts the plex apps location so you don't have to ssh to find it, it will take a lot of digging to find it in the unit's file system. Exactly why are all these things being done? There are a lot of awesome plugins like HAMA DB that will properly categorize/tag anime in the way that TVDB's tags aren't and TVDB is known to have a lot of problems with importing meta data. If you can't put the unit in another room, it is suggested that you don't put it near your WiFi. The EMI interference leaves you receiving alerts about the HDDs in the bay every time it's turned on. A smart test and a bad sector sweep were run. This issue has been discussed in more detail on reddit, where everything came back negative. "Help!" can be found by searching online. NAS with no wireless connectivity interferes with the wireless network
3/5

The data in drive bay 6 is constantly being read even though the drive is According to technical support, it is due to nearby devices causing interference with wireless signals. I have a hardwired network connection for this NAS, which means that it doesn't support wireless. There is no way to imagine how another wireless device can trigger a read access error in a non-wireless device. Apart from that, everything works as expected. My experience with this is extremely fishy to put it mildly. And I'm apparently not the only one with this problem.

NAS that I recommend to anyone who does not plan to run VMs
5/5

I bought it just for the novelty of using it with my Mac mini m1. The two devices are connected to a Cisco switch, and they both have a 10Gb interface. Keeping up with all of the devices in my house is easy with the NAS. As a starting point, I had 5 drives. Later I added 3 more and expanded the array without losing any Additionally, I also added an SSD cache via Qtier. I use this device to do my Time Machine backups and to also host files for my server and to capture surveillance from my This is my fourth QNAP. I have never had a problem with any of them.

There is a low level of user interface and a low level of writing speed
3/5

The user interface is terrible, but the item itself is great. Once again, I'm feeling like I'm in Windows XP. The speed of reading and writing data with RAID 6 is great, but the CPU slows down when writing data. There is a maximum of 1 TB on the cache drive! You won't be able to use this if you have plenty of hot data. We'd like to see the 10GB ports as T type. If the 10GB ports were T type, we'd have a positive experience. It is the right item for you if you have no a lot of files to write and do not need an enormous amount of cache, as well as don't care about the user interface. . *Brought back.

It is an amazing NAS
5/5

I am really happy with it. Using the 10-gigabit network switch, I can now delete all of my external drives from my laptops and connect them through the switch to this incredible machine. I can do 4K video editing with no problems. The storage capacity is 21+ Terabytes. I am amazed! The machine is awesome. Oh, I love it! I did mention that the TS-41 has been implemented There is another person in room 932PX. There will be no hiccups here, folks. Would you consider buying this if you were on the fence? Do not be afraid to take the This is a decision you won't regret. I have yet to build a mobile app.

A very nice NAS at a good price
5/5

This was very easy to set up, granted I messed up the first time, but I was able to rectify the mistake very easily Prepare for configuration. However, you may have to hunt a bit for some options / settings, as the GUI is fine but not very intuitive. I had to check out some yourtube videos. It's annoying to have four - signs in a row As a high speed cache, you can only have 1TB of SSD storage or Drives in the 5" slots.

This is an excellent NAS
5/5

The nas equipment of today is cutting edge thanks to QNAP. It has 9 bays and is an excellent replacement for a personal cloud. For those who require a backup of their photos, this is what I recommend.
