Not only did I have trouble accessing my friend's photos on my Win 10 HP laptop, but the Floppy Disc icon would disappear from File Explorer as well. Apple MacBook Air and more recent Vista desktops were able to access and view the 2001 Sears Portrait images.
It is true. In the past few days, I have created some files on this drive. The disk for my Macintosh LC II is 44MB. I am very happy with how it worked!
From two hundred and three computers, it was successfully transferred programs and data. These disks have a diameter of 5". The majority of the programs that I transferred do not run, and a large proportion of the data files are unreadable These are the Seattle Filmworks program and pictures that cause most concern for me. My memory says I had the same problem of the disk not reading the disks and then running without the disc in the drive. I am no computer expert. I think I turned the disk off, unplugged it from my laptop, and tried again a few minutes later. As far as I remember, the first thing I did was to check the file explorer to make sure the drive was recognized. You might want to give it a try a few times to see if you can get it to work. Since I've had my disks in a cupboard for more than a decade, I've had no problems The past 30 years have been challenging. It will work if you have the program diskettes from one of the old games or the diskettes from one of the modem providers You can try it to see if the drive is able to read one. Local computer technicians told me that diskettes deteriorate over time, particularly if magnetic interference is present on them. You can still install a new drive if yours fails to work. If you need help or a replacement unit, I suggest contacting Raayoo. There were probably instructions on how to contact and operate the unit in the box it I wish you the best of luck.
There is no way to do this. Returning it was the best decision I could make. You can read the other reviews on how this contraption does not work. My recommendation would be to go to www. if you want a program that can actually read your old floppy disks. The floppy disk. By purchasing a plug-in, you'll be able to The external floppy drive that I got was a plug-and-play device. After returning it, I found a used one that actually worked for just a In light of this, a USB external floppy drive can be used if your device has either a USB port or if you have a USB adapter dongle. There's just one problem This one isn't working.

I had files on floppy disks for over a decade and they were in my storage. Thanks to Prime membership, the product arrived in 2 days, and I was extremely satisfied when this little device worked and I easily transferred all my files from a floppy disk to my PC via USB and then printed on my printer, and I was prepared for my court date with all the Having this device copy floppy disks to USB has worked like magic for me and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to copy floppy disks to USB.
I bought this because it was supposed to be most compatible with older hardware, and I am a software preservationist. However, it has an INCREDIBLY long load time. For example, on modern systems, it takes around FIVE MINUTES (or 300 actual seconds) for it to detect the insertion of a disk. The drive is also so slow to read that older systems that have and can boot from other USB floppy drives cannot use the drive. It is nevertheless the real icing on the cake, the real reason why I had to return this piece of garbage was that it will not write to disks. I see I see. A thing like this can do only one job, and that one job is so slow and so bad that one might actually be able to accomplish more by examination of the oxide surface of the disks and writing out the corresponding 1s and 0s by hand in a hex editor. That's how bad it is. If you don't want to be disappointed, don't buy this. Taking it slowly.
We have 5 floppies lying around somewhere. We need to dig them out and take a nostalgic trip back in time. The possibility that I would be able to open any of my old 3 was beyond my wildest dreams. This is one of the best devices, and there's no other one like it. To use it, simply plug the USB key into a USB port on your computer, insert a USB drive, and you are ready to go. In five floppy disks it is ready to take you to places you barely remember. If the disk makes that grinding, scratching thinking noise, then all of us over thirty know that it's time to open up your file manager and click the floppy drive. Once opened, it'll display a list of all the files you can access from A couple of the files I had needed me to change the display resolution before they would open, but my Windows OS made it easy for me to do In the nineties, I kept a journal on a floppy disk. It's an old journal that I found on the desk. As I scanned my memories, I found long forgotten photos and poems I'd written in my darkest depression as well as in the deepest of loves. The last time I was that young was twenty years ago. A friend wrote the words back then, like it was someone else's work. In addition to the disks I have to go through, I am looking forward to seeing what treasures await me on them. It is better to act now than to think about it later! This disk reader will save you time! This system works well and is well designed. Within a few days, I will provide you with a video showing how easy it is to work.
In a corner of my closet, I have a collection of 5 inch floppies. Although I was hesitant to throw them all away because I didn't know what was in them, I decided to throw them all away. It has a nominal cost of around $11 but offers great value My problems have been solved thanks to the floppy disk reader from Raayoo. With this device, I was able to connect my laptop's USB port and transmit any old files I wanted to keep onto my computer. It read floppies and I transferred files with ease. I connected it to various other USB ports on my computer without success, but the solution was quite simple connect it to a different USB port on your computer. This worked flawlessly with only the very minor issue that MS Explorer stopped reading the drive after a couple hours of idleness. As soon as I restarted the computer, the drive began working It worked as advertised, so there was no problem with the drive. There was a problem with the operating system on my laptop. This is definitely a product I would recommend. I have no idea what to do now with this floppy reader that I'm never going to use.
The first MBP is a 13" Apple MacBook Pro from the early 2015 generation Each laptop has two USB ports and I have tried every one of them. The second Windows 10 laptop is a 15" Mid 2014 MBP with macOS Mojave. There is no chance of the floppy drive working. My finger feels the motor, and the green light blinks a few times as if it is trying to read the diskette, but then I notice it stops working. It does not appear on the desktop of the MBP. Is there anything you can suggest? Is there a version of macOS that no longer supports floppy drives? A lot of 3's have been tried. Floppy disks in the 5" format. The only thing read is the headline. It was disappointing.
A simple interface makes it easy As soon as I connected it to the Macbook Pro's USB port, it opened up all the old floppy disks and all their files and photos. It is true that I had to install an app from the store in order to read all the old files (Windows), however, that was also very easy to accomplish. The price is very good, and shipping was very quick. I strongly recommend it.
As soon as I put in the floppy for the first time, the read/write head fell off. It has since failed to read anything again. The following is what I have to say However, I still couldn't read any floppies even after attaching the read/write head. It was great of Amazon to send me another, which arrived on today, January 14, 2021. Initially, the new replacement did not read on my Windows computer so I connected it to a Mac computer and it still did not work. The following is what I have to say It worked once when I connected it to my Windows 10 desktop, but any floppies I put in after that would only show the first floppy. I disconnected the drive and reconnected it, but it would not read any floppies including the one it had already In my attempt to make this work, I wasted too much time.
