Questions & Answers

What are the requirements for Windows 7 and Vista use of this floppy drive?

The answer is yes. Plug & play feature makes the drive convenient to use.

How many floppy disks does that amount to?

A model BT-45 has been given to me There is a 144 for a You can only use floppy disks of 5 inches.

The floppies in my computer are old, probably from the days when floppies were built into the computer. I'm not sure if they are high-density floppies. Is there any way you can ?

My understanding is that all three are true. There is a "HD" embossed or printed in the upper right corner of the plastic of the 5 inch high density "floppies" (or in the lower left corner if you have it upside down). In my opinion, the metal guard belongs at the top of the disk and the "HD" to its right. The number of new 3s held by me is about 400, and the number of used 3s is about 600. Some black plastic and some colored plastic, some 5 inch HD floppy disks. Only one of the three didn't One of the disks I have that has high density (720 KB) is not marked in any way that I can see, and unfortunately I have no need

The idea of needing one of these was never in my head
5/5

The problem is we are here. In my old Windows 10 computer, I had some old engineering software from about 1996 that I was wondering if it would work. Not all built-in 3s are available, but all built-in 2s are available. My hard drive is 5", so I decided to take a chance and buy this product for less than $25. I was able to plug it in and have it recognized by the computer right away. There is bad news for you The 3 first editions are 1995, 1998, and 1999). The good news is Fortunately, I had an old netbook running Windows 7, so I plugged it in and loaded all 5 disks, and I have been able to get the program to work. My conclusion is that Windows 10 appears to work fine on all of the computers I tried it on, but you cannot run old programs on it. Still, if you have an old 3 you might want to consider it. There may be photos, documents, etc. , on your 5" disks, and you wish to transfer them to, for example, your HD or (as I do) to a plug-and-play hard drive. Set up the My advice is to wear suspenders and a belt).

In Windows 8, it works fine
5/5

There is one USB 2. 0 port on this computer. I had a five year old Windows 8 computer that had a 44 MB plug-n-play diskette. With 1 PC you don't have to use a data CD Included with the device was a CD-ROM. Windows Explorer added Floppy Drive A to the list of available devices after the computer discovered new hardware for a short time The diskette cannot be removed, changed, or reloaded in order to force a new read, as I had expected based on some of the comments I've read so far. The method of unplugging the drive, waiting a few seconds, and then plugging it back in, then inserting the diskette, always worked for me. There are some diskettes that are I suppose that shouldn't be a surprise. The construction and design of floppy diskettes followed a similar pattern to cassette tapes - they were tape-based devices. A synthetic media that has been sprayed with metal powder. A floppies starts breaking down the moment you open it, and the Grim Reaper of disposable consumer media gets closer, every time you use it. Handling, dust, and incidental magnetism, like touching a loudspeaker, also play a role. now plan to only hook it up when I am ready for it and store it in its box in a cool place when I am not. There may not be a lasting relationship between them, but what is? It works for what it costs, and it works well for what it costs.

How do you compare Windows 7 Pro and 7 Home? A plug-in device that works Play the game
5/5

The Revised Draft of 2013 is available here. I plugged it into my work computer, a Win7 (home? said, "found new hardware, ready for use. ". Upon returning home, I ran the same program on my desktop PC where I have Win7Pro, and it immediately worked. Upon realizing that the 1 was too small, I became even more concerned. The size of 44MB is 44MB. In order to move the data from my Win7 computer, on which the software will not run, to my old Win3, I had to move three disks' worth of files. The code ran absolutely fine on 486/33 (486/486) and it ran well on Windows 3. Now if I can only remember how to use Windows 2. 0. As compared to the current Windows platform, it's so weird (that's why it runs fast). In my case, the disease is not contagious I have a working 386/20, and also a 486/33 and an old Win95 Pentium 133 MHz (doesn't work needs replacement of Dallas RTC and Battery chip). Then I have my main laptop, a Toshiba A 33GHz x2 (T7600) running Windows XP (and it will be that way until further notice) Bottom line The USB/Floppy drive works fine. However, I need a better method to send files of 5MB in size around to my aging computer. Note PS.
It does not appear as a drive until you click on "My Computer. " There it appears No problem at all.

I have it running on Windows 7 and it works perfectly
5/5

Since I began writing professionally, I have been doing so for years. Having a large number of 3 has been what I have been doing for the last long time. For quite a while, I didn't have a computer with a floppy disk drive. I was uncomfortable about packing up all that stuff. With this slim external disk drive (and it IS slim! Through light) I resolved the issue. In addition, it is very easy. This drive does not state on the box that it works with Windows 7 (it states it works with Win 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista). The answer is yes. Windows 7 automatically and quickly finds the needed driver once the device is plugged into a USB port. In seconds you'll be able to copy or move your files to your hard drive, flash drive, or anywhere else you want. Several users have warned that this drive can only be used with high density disks (2HD). My only problem was that one of my disks wasn't high density, so I didn't lose much data. The only thing I need now is for my old Iomega ZIP drive to have a VGA-in port for mounting My old files could be recovered more easily if I had a USB cable and Windows 7. Unfortunately, this isn't true. This drive, however, works well, and it does so for the most part. *br*br*(I want to add this When you're copying or moving word processing files, as I have been doing, you can run into problems with MS Word if Office 2010 is the operating system and your files are much older, since it is only backwards-compatible within certain limits. Fortunately, the vast majority of my files are written in WordPerfect, which is completely backwards compatible and also allows you to save files in a very wide.

Features - Work with Windows There is a need for I am in love with Windows 10 has been tested with it
5/5

You will not be able to use a USB 3 with this. To use the USB 2, you need a USB 2. 0 port. To make this work, there needs to be no dedicated slots. I have a bunch of USB 3 devices. USB 2. 0 is backwards compatible, but it could still only be connected with a dedicated USB 3. 0 port. The slot has been filled. As far as I can tell, USB 2 is mentioned. The description of their website has zero (so no complaints, just sharing this The value for money is excellent.

Appearance may be generic There is a Teac chip inside
3/5

Everything is working fine. I received this floppy drive from ShopDigi quickly. Plugging it into the USB port of my Gateway NV79 laptop, I was able to correctly see it in Windows 7 Home Edition. I noticed it was a little harder to work with than the ones I remember, but once I logged in with full rights, the drive formatted the floppy boot disk correctly. The item listing declared clearly that it was for a "Teac external drive. ". Teac is mentioned in several places, and appears to be based on Teac. Despite the fact that I received the item from Teac, it had no indication that it was made by the company. The item does not have a serial number on the cardboard box. In addition, the listing photo displays a close-up of the property There is a noise suppressor that is very common on items of this type, and it serves to make the device look better. In the item I received, I did not find this information Noise suppression device for telephone lines. The device appears to be made in China as a generic no-name device. Having said that, I did not take apart the item so that I could see if the drive inside is a Teac, but if they did make the item as promised, they should state so on the outside. The following is an update from Using software, I was able to identify the floppy drive I received, which is "Mitsumi" not Teac which explains its noise. Rather than what was advertised in the advertisement (Teac), I wanted the one on the listing.
