Questions & Answers

Is it possible for me to participate in the World of Warcraft game?

GTA V and Witcher 3 are both CPU-intensive games, but WOW can run on any standard computer. I installed GTA V on my new HP laptop with an Amd 12 processor, 12 GB of RAM, and a Radeon graffix card, and it wouldn't even load the game on the lowest setting. Grrr, what a waste of money.

Is it possible to play Tic-Tac-Toe with this? Tac- Toe?

Yes, you can play Tic-Tac-Toe on this laptop. Tac- Toe, solitaire, freecell, spider solitaire, and other similar games are available.

Is it possible to use this to play Oculus Rift?

Yes. I got 54- 728c. The i7 and the RTX are two of the most powerful processors currently available. It works well with virtual reality, which is why I bought it. Mine, on the other hand, is a quest link, and it works great.

Is the 8GB version equipped with an 8GB RAM stick? or two 4GB RAM modules? I'm thinking about getting 16GB of RAM, but am undecided. What type of RAM can I use?

I purchased the 16GB model, which included two 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 memory sticks. I just upgraded it to 32 GB (2 16 GB sticks) at 3200 MHz today. The Acer Nitros, I believe, can be upgraded to 64GB of storage. If you really wanted to take it to the next level. But that's prohibitively expensive, and most people don't need more than 16 GB anyway. However, I needed that extra ram, so I purchased the 16 version and later upgraded to the 32 version. Upgrading is simple, so whichever version you get will suffice, and upgrading will not be difficult if you require more RAM.

Control of quality is lacking
3/5

Acer's poor quality control has earned it a one-star rating. br>br>When I got the laptop, I started setting it up right away. When I went to enter my information, I noticed that the D key wasn't working. I contacted Acer tech support and was informed that the laptop would need to be sent in for repair. Now I have to repackage everything, wait for a shipping label, drop it off, and wait another seven days for it to arrive. Instead of working on the projects for which I purchased the laptop, I spent 10 business days (a fancy way of saying two weeks). As a result, I am extremely dissatisfied with Acer's quality control at this time. br>br>I can't really review the laptop because it was defective from the start; however, I'm hopeful that this is the only flaw with the machine because most Nitro 5 reviews I've read are positive. br>br>Update: It's been 22 days since I got my brand-new laptop from Amazon. My laptop has been with Acer repair for 14 days, and I have yet to receive any information about the status of my case other than that it is still being repaired. I'm not happy about having to wait three weeks for a brand new, fully functional laptop.

Acer Nitro 5 (Model: ) RAM upgrade AN515- 5812)
5/5

To upgrade from 8 to 16GB of RAM, use the following ram: br>Kingston 8GB DDR4 2666MHZ SODIMM KCP426SS8/8 is for the Core i5 processor. The 9300H version is recommended, but any AN515-compatible model should work fine. 58XX is the model number. br>br>By the way, computers are fantastic.

A laptop that gives you the most bang for your buck today! AN515- At $579
5/5

The AN515-A is priced at $99. It's a TRUE DEAL if you call 5812! I've been impressed with its features and performance since unboxing. It has the ability to be upgraded in terms of storage and RAM. I'll tell all my friends and family about this machine.

What You Pay For Is Exactly What You Get
3/5

In the cons section, I included possible solutions to the issues I was having. Advantages: br>br>
- slim size, convenient to carry on the gobr>- -br>-br>-br>-br>-b open slots on the inside to upgrade componentsbr>br>Cons (that I solved):
- The combination of loud fans and poor audio quality is a recipe for disaster. To hear over the fan noise, turn up the built-in speaker volume; however, because of the fan noise, you should leave your mic on push to talk rather than open during online games, or your poor teammates will have to listen to it all the time. The good news is that there is a blue tooth connection, so I recommend using external speakers or headphones instead.

- hot CPU. Regardless of whether the device is plugged in or not, make sure the battery settings are set to "better performance" rather than "best performance. " If not, the CPU temperature rises to 90 degrees Celsius. If you want your laptop to last as long as possible, it's better to have lower performance or learn to undervolt.

- While gaming, the incorrect GPU was used. If your laptop isn't performing well, it's possible that the Intel GPU is being used instead of the GTX 1650. Change the preferred graphics processor to "high-end" in the NVIDIA Control Panel's "manage 3D settings" and "global settings. " Rather than auto, select "performance NVIDIA processor. "

- When the laptop is not connected to power, it restarts within seconds of starting up. This was resolved for me by going into startup apps and disabling "Delayed Launcher. "

- There isn't enough space, and there's a lot of bloatware to aggravate the situation. Purchasing at least 1TB of extra storage is a must. Unless you only play games from the 1990s, 256 GB is only enough space for two or three games. br>br>Cons (that I couldn't find a solution for):
- Smudges on the top of the screen that are only visible when the screen is blackbr>br>- The touchpad is a complete disaster. For some reason, it's on the left, so you'll have to cram both hands to the left in order to use it during games. When using controllers or a mouse, this is not an issue. In addition, the mouse moves slowly and floats around. I've tried updating drivers but nothing seems to work, and it's extremely sluggish most of the time!br>br>- When a key is pressed, the keyboard lights illuminate for 30 seconds before turning off. There's no way to turn them off, which is inconvenient when you're trying to use it in the dark. There are forums where people are complaining about this, and the company refuses to add the option to turn them off, despite the fact that many people want it.

- Short battery life: I don't mind because I think of gaming laptops as portable desktops, but keep in mind that if you want to play on the bus or plane, this won't last long.

The Acer Nitro 5 is the best bang for your buck on the market
5/5

I like this laptop because it is reasonably priced, has advanced hardware, and a sleek appearance. I can consistently play games at 100 frames per second, and it also allows me to take care of my work/day-to-day needs. Overall, this computer is doing everything I expected it to do and more. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a low-cost, high-capacity laptop.

I've never had a laptop as good as this one
5/5

This laptop is incredible! Has no lag when playing games. I got it for $579 by chance, and I'd recommend checking it out frequently because it sells out quickly at that price.

Beautifully runs The Sims 4! This laptop has a special place in my heart
5/5

I was looking for a review on how to run The Sims 4 with a large number of packs, but now that I have it, I'll say it. This laptop runs the Sims 4 beautifully on Ultra graphics, with all of the packs and tons of CC and mods. There isn't a single beat that goes by without being heard. It takes less than 30 seconds to load, and that's with only 8 GB of RAM. The screen quality is also excellent; it almost appears to have an overlay; it boots up quickly, loads web pages quickly; and I can see myself watching movies on this laptop. I'm not sure how it compares to other gaming or high-end laptops, but if you're anything like me and have a crappy laptop that takes almost an hour to load the Sims on medium graphics, you'll be blown away. The laptop is extremely small and light. The keyboard has a pleasant feel to it, and the backlight is attractive, though I wish it could be changed. I played with it for 6 hours straight, and the fans are extremely quiet, and it does not overheat. It does slow down a little when not connected, but I don't intend to use it on the go, so I can't comment on that. This was well worth the money, and I'm grateful to Acer for providing so much power at such a low price; I don't see how things can get any better for little ol' me.

To get someone started in light gaming, this is a great computer
5/5

This was purchased for my sister by my parents, and it is ideal for her to begin with because it is light-weight. The gaming difficulty is moderate. It's also ideal now that school is moving to the internet. This computer also has a good battery life when not connected to a charger, though it may not be as good when used heavily. Overall, the computer is a fantastic bargain at its current price.
