Questions & Answers

Do you need the date of the AUE?

The AUE says that June 2024 will be the first time when this occurs. Due to the limited updates that will last for 3 more years, I think I'd like to return it. Chromebooks manufactured after 2026 to 2028 will expire

The laptop has an HDMI port, does it not?

You can install an HDMI port on a laptop like this one, although it does not come with one. You will now be able to connect your chromebook to a USB-C hub, and the Chromebook will automatically configure the HDMI port on the hub (at least that's what happened to me). Furthermore, if the USB-C hub you buy also has a wired internet jack (which this chromebook will apparently be able to use if the hub you buy features that), then you can buy USB-C hubs that provide additional functionality. I recently bought a USB-C hub from Amazon (for around $35) that offered the following features: There is an HDMI (video/audio) jack, an Ethernet cable (wired internet), three standard USB 3 ports, and also a place to plug in a USB-C charger to power the hub (and also charge the chromebook). I agree that this method is not free, but it is a pretty cheap and easy way to add more input and output options to this Chromebook.

The system supports active stylus? If so, what type and model does it support?

There is no stylus support on this device. My S-Pens and stylus don't work, and I have several Samsung S-Pens. The stylus support on this model is optional based on a pdf I retrieved from Google after testing them when I got this. This is a major disappointment for me since I wanted to use it for that purpose. The stylus does not seem to be supported on this thing. My S-Pens and stylus don't work, and I have several Samsung S-Pens. The stylus support on this model is optional based on a pdf I retrieved from Google after testing them when I got this. This is a major disappointment for me since I wanted to use it for that purpose. I see that the older model worked with a stylus (N3350 CPU), but the new one does not. Sadly, it is missing the second camera above the keyboard, which can be used as a video camera when in tablet mode, but the indented area is still present.

Can Chromebooks be charged with the charger provided with the Chromebook option?

No problem.

The NiFTAY to her
5/5

When I received this chromebook, I was unsure of what to expect I'd never had a chromebook before, but I really needed something I could carry, so I could work on my shop updates, my work, and school when it started The process of getting used to this has taken some time, but overall I'm enjoying it! After leaving it on overnight, my battery was still fully charged when I woke up the next day I ordered it Saturday night and received it Monday out here in the butt-shucks of Wyoming The touchscreen works great The shipping was fast, it arrived on Monday I'd say, ya know, it's impressive I would definitely prefer a tablet with a keyboard, but it's so much better than any tablet I have used before A gift you receive and you're like "ohhhhhhhhhh, thank you, that was so thoughtful This will never be used by me thanks " Of course you would never tell them that since it would be rude, so instead it sits in your bookcase with your hard copies collecting dust, because you don't want them to discover it ) and -anyway- this thing blows it out of the water I feel that the bag is lightweight but strong at the same time, it looks like it can hold it's own, yet it is so thin

This was a good choice for me
5/5

My Asus laptop has been aging for a while, and I have been torn between replacing it and buying a new one Going back and forth between Chromebooks and laptops After reading reviews, I threw a dart at the Chromebook, and it was the right decision choice Turned it on after opening it up, connecting it to the power source, and plugging it in it synced with my Note8 after answering a few questions Cooking is one of my favorite things to do I can't wait to look up a recipe, tent it, and start preparing it Email, banking, and recipe searches are all I need from my computer This is a 5 for me

This 2-in-1 ChromeOS tablet is fantastic
4/5

My old 15" Acer Chromebook, which was one of the first 15" Chromebooks on the market when I bought it, is much faster and newer; it was one of the first 15" Chromebooks to be made My old Chromebook has limited support for Android apps, so it was becoming increasingly difficult to use I bought this laptop because I wanted to use it while couch surfing In researching this model, I discovered that it has received a lot of positive reviews, which turned out to be mainly for the last model that used the same name as this device The first thing I'd like to point out is the fact that it feels really sturdy, built well in typical Acer style Though I was surprised by how big the edges of the screen are, they could have easily squeezed in a bigger screen Despite this, the screen that is installed is plenty bright for my needs, as well as incredibly sharp with a good viewing angle at a typical watching distance According to my experience, the touchscreen is kind of flaky, but it may be a problem with the user since some touchscreens tend not to respond well to finger taps Although the device runs Android games smoothly, it does not have enough power to run the more intense Android games smoothly The performance in typical use is fine, but don't expect much gaming The Wi-Fi signal is excellent, and the router is very fast I really like the ports provided here and the fact that the device can be charged from either one of the USB-C ports The keyboard feels pretty good, and the trackpad is about what I would expect on a device of this type The part of this system I am truly disappointed with is the removal of stylus support on the last model A bit of an artist, I like to sketch from time to time, even just playing a round of Draw Something to relive my boredom With my Note, I can't draw on this I thought drawing on this would be a nice alternative Acer had already said yes when asked if this system supported an active stylus, noting that another person had already asked the same question There is no active stylus support on this thing I mean, not one of those EMR styli you find in some Samsung devices (S-Pen) or one from Wacom There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the 32GB N3350 and the 64GB N4020 I'm tempted to return this one and order the older model Furthermore, I'd like to mention here that there is an indent for a second camera that appears above the keyboard in tablet mode, but no camera is present My first thought was that this indent was for a pre-release system review, but I took a closer look online and found it was for an indent In addition to the camera, a stylus was included The developers changed their minds on both features, but they didn't bother to get rid of the indentation To summarize, it's a nice little 2-in-1, but some design choices look odd for a device of this age Several of the reviews online are for the last model (the N3350 processor) or for pre-production test units that have features this thing does not have (the stylus Look closely at the real reviews, too, as this thing ships with an Intel processor (N4020), an AMD processor, and a MediaTek processor

I returned this Chromebook because it was not what I wanted
4/5

At the moment, this may be the best Chromebook on the market under $400 My unit was returned due to a problem with the display, but the display is nice with a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with bright crisp colors You can't go wrong with this keyboard Its trackpad is particularly large and responsive It is very quick to browse the web With Octane 2, I got a score of around 12000 on this machine Celeron's performance is not bad for its age As a result I sent it back because of this reason It turned out that the Chromebook I received had two manufacturing faults I have a case made out of aluminum, which is great, except the bottom edge of the case has a sharp edge wrapped around its entire perimeter Despite the fact that the case is too wide, the Chromebook appears to be unfinished It is not sharp enough to cut, but it gave the computer a rough appearance It was loose on the trackpad, which was the second issue I had no problems with it, but the trackpad rattled a bit when I touched it (which I do a lot on Chromebooks) As I used it more, it drove me crazy I thought I could live with it, but the more I used it, the more crazy I became There were build issues only with the Chromebook I received and I am hoping that they did not occur with the other 514s as well

Distance learning is made easy with this program
5/5

This was bought as a gift for elementary school students As someone who has never used a chromebook before, I didn't know what to expect, but so far, it has exceeded my expectations A google account is all you need to get started In addition, I like the possibility of applying parental controls through Google Family It has a really nice touchscreen, as far as the device itself is concerned Although I am glad that the flipped mode is an option, it is not used very often by my kids The purchase was very satisfying to me In addition, I did not buy the extended protection, but I may do so now

I bought it for $249 and it has a good battery life
4/5

Given current demand, the specs are impressive and you can enjoy 10+ hours of battery life while browsing the web and watching YouTube videos I am not sure what the pictures are telling you With a micro SD slot for media and a volume rocker on the side, you'll find your play store app compatibility varies A small portion of that storage is available for apps, about 20 GB This Chromebook is more of a tablet than a full laptop replacement if you're new to Chromebooks (or computers in general)
