I had just started college and needed a new computer. I had a Macbook Pro, which was fine, but I wanted something with a touchscreen. I ordered this chromebook and enjoy how simple it is to use for online school, with the ability to read my textbooks on the computer as if it were a tablet and then complete my assignments as easily as on a Mac. I've had a lot of fun with the computer and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new computer. It's also a great value for what you get.
I tried four different pens, all of which claimed to be for this model. No joy. br>br>I bought this for my daughter because her current Chromebook has reached the end of its useful life. Drawing and gaming are two of her favorite pastimes. Both of which she accomplishes with the help of her pen. I tried four different makers and sellers who just CLAIMED they were compatible, trying to match a pen to this thing, after a week of futile searching for an ACTUAL HARD MATCH with no success. br>br>They were all unable to write on the screen. They didn't have any "Setup" or knowledge of how to use the Chromebook. Simply press a button, the light turns on, and you're ready to go, according to the manufacturer. They worked on other devices, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the pens. br>br>After two weeks of futzing around and disappointment after disappointment, I finally returned all of the pens as well as the stupid Chromebook. I'll look for a less taxing alternative. Maybe it's a problem with HP. I've never had much luck with this brand in the past, but it was recommended to me. I'll make certain they hear everything I have to say.
The functionality is excellent. Don't wait; the price is well worth it.
1 laptop. For a laptop under $500, it far surpassed my expectations. The battery lasted three days before it needed to be plugged in and charged quickly, and the touch screen is very useful. It's user-friendly, straightforward, and simple to use. It fulfills all of my requirements for a home office.
They used outdated screen technology, which distorts colors and images when viewed from any angle other than straight on. On this screen, even direct viewing is garbage. BUYING THIS PRODUCT IS A MISTAKE! The color gamut has been washed out and the image is blurred. Apart from that, everything was fine! In the last four months, the charge port has failed twice. For the money, it is of poor quality. I've switched to a desktop computer. It was nice when it worked, but with new chargers costing $60 each, it's getting pricey.
I regretted buying a HP in the first place, but came across some companies where they were willing to give you a credit even after that.
The keyboard is excellent, with a soft but firm feel to it. My wife has never been a fan of touch pads, but she enjoys this one so much that she no longer uses the HP with a mouse. The convertible feature and touch screen are fantastic extras. br>br>We bought this as an Amazon refurbished model and were pleasantly surprised when it arrived "as new. ".
The touch screen and the ability to use the laptop as a tablet makes it much easier for her to complete her tasks faster than if she used a keyboard or mouse, for example. The shipping service was excellent and arrived promptly.
