It will work with any legitimate RAM stick, but you will lose access to the hard-wired RAM on the motherboard. Only Kingston RAM sticks will allow the computer to keep its onboard memory.
It will, in fact.
Almost certainly not flawlessly. If you want to play games, get a gaming computer that has dedicated video memory and better cooling. This is a "common" laptop.

In comparison to the old Acer Aspire, this is a very nice (and fast) laptop; however, the Home button has been moved. keys to the end of the seventh 1 keys. To use Home or End, you'll have to press NumLock, then NumLock again to return to NumLock. For the price of one, you get three strokes! Worse, the numerical keys have been narrowed, as if this was an afterthought by the engineer, and he just crammed them in. If you frequently use numeric keys, you may find it difficult to operate them with your fat fingers. Also . The power jack on this unit has an intermittent connection. The unit enters and exits charging mode as the power connector moves. I'm not sure how much longer it will be before the power jack IN THE UNIT needs to be replaced.
I returned this after having to deal with everything from technical issues to the sound not working properly, and now my touchpad only works about 80% of the time, despite the fact that I only bought it two months ago. So now I've spent a lot of money on a faulty item, and I'll have to wait weeks for Amazon to refund my money so I can buy a laptop that I desperately need. By the way, I bought it because it was an "Amazon's Choice" item.
They not only have no lag on school sites, but they also have no lag when playing Fortnite. Anyone who has attempted to download Fortnite knows how painful it can be. This is a fantastic machine that I would strongly recommend.
Because I didn't want to use my MAC, I bought this computer for work. I chose the Acer because I needed something that was both cost effective and capable of getting the job done. I like the computer in general, but the keypad is something I'd change. I find the keys to be too flat. I make a lot of typing mistakes on this computer that I don't make on my Mac. But, I suppose, when you buy a thin computer, that's to be expected.
This laptop's screen and back-lit keyboard are both excellent. I expected it to have lit features, but I didn't expect it to come with a memory problem. In addition, the battery was draining faster than on a regular laptop. And, thanks to Amazon Product Helper, this laptop was replaced for me, and I'm hoping it won't have the same issue again. br>br>This review pertains to the same laptop, but the replacement laptop that was sent to me. br>So far, I haven't had any memory issues like I did with the first laptop, but I am concerned about the fan noise. Whenever I get a Windows update and try to download it, the fan becomes a little loud, and I'm not sure if this is normal or not. In any case, this laptop, in my opinion, is ideal for college students, as well as everyone else.
I tried everything I could think of to get it back, but it didn't work. br>br>I was forced to tell Amazon about the design flaw with the card's size, which will cause thermal issues and cause it to fail. All I wanted to do was replace it because I don't like my money being put on hold or explain the design flaw to CS when he asks (which he shouldn't because his job is to explain why I can't get a replacement). So, since the conversation was going nowhere, I ended it and proceeded to refund the money. Having a HD header to add a ssd next to the cheapo wifi card isn't a good idea because if something goes wrong with the card, it'll be a pain to remove the hard drive.
Unless you intend to put this laptop through its paces, everything about it is fantastic. The fan is loud, and the power supply can't keep up with the processor and graphics card. This laptop's mx350 is a complete waste of time! Even if it's just for light gaming, don't buy it!.
It's my first day of use, and I'm really enjoying it! I'm glad I went with the dedicated graphics card instead of the integrated because it allows me to play light games much better. It's set to use integrated graphics, but after a little tweaking, the nvedia geforce mx350 is more than enough for me as a casual gamer. However, there are a few drawbacks, including the battery life, which is adequate. Approximately 3-minutes of light use Idle time is 4 hours, and the backlit keyboard turns off after 15 seconds. However, the cost is well worth it! I like how the laptop feels metal and how fast the SSD is.
