You might be able to connect your previous modular cables to this PSU since it's a modular PSU. There are custom cords included in this unit. Unless there are clear and obvious warnings to the effect that you must use the included cords, most of us simply use the existing ones. I've never seen a power supply quite like this. It is not easy to find a reliable power supply other than EVGA. Despite the SATA cables being faulty, it is not of major concern. In the middle of the drive side there is a reversed connector. The installation of multiple drives is affected by this. I don't think this is a deal breaker, but it is a bit silly.
