Questions & Answers

I was wondering the same thing can you watch HBO on your computer if you are using Windows Media Center? My XBOX 360 is missing, so I cannot play, but I understand you can play an XBOX 360. ?

You will need AT&T service to use this site When you sign up for Internet 1 GB fiber, you will be able to access HBO Max directly on your computer.

Can a CPU with a speed of 7GHz and Intel HD Graphics) handle My budget is tight, and I want something with a ?

The program runs on two different computers for me. It is a Dell hd with an AMD dual core 4Gb ram processor and an AMD video card. Likewise, Dell's inspirational 2 comes in second place. The processor is a quad core 4 GB of RAM machine with an ATI 3400 graphics card. HD content is handled well by both technologies. It would be hard for me to use a single-core Celeron for TV unless it was a standard definition set. There's just no way I think it would work

The type of work you're doing will determine how it impacts you
3/5

There are a few answers that tell a part of the truth, however, like Robert Middleswarth's. If you are using a second-gen NVidia Shield Pro (500 Gb version) or Shield, you can record locally to the Shield under the proviso that you will be able to play back the recordings only Unless you are using a NAS, if you record to a Microsoft media center, the recording lasts for one day The same goes for the shot deal. The experience is very different when using KODI/XBMC, as well as VDR or TVHeadend. You can select whatever receiver heads you prefer to share the storage with. I have a lighter with me - We tried it and it DOES seem to work pretty Per tuner or per recording, a shared storage/control and set can be made available. What you need to know is what you're doing and do it according to the right plan.

Despite SiliconDust's "soon" promises, DRM DVR support has yet to appear
5/5

The company said over three years ago that DRM DVR support would be arriving in There is nothing. A sad state of affairs has existed for YEARS with the software. They promise to update but have failed to meet any of their deadlines. There's no way they can add something as simple as a Previous Channel button or an updated scheduled recordings list. According to their last statement, the major overhaul is going to roll out this week. More than four months have passed since that time. In order to launch their Youtube knockoff, their CEO just admitted they put all their existing projects on hold (and existing paying customers) and put all their existing projects on hold. You shouldn't buy their hardware or software unless it does EXACTLY what you need it to do today! Historical statistics indicate there is very little chance they will actually update anything. We were told that CES2018 would see the delivery of a six-tuner replacement for this model before the end of the year. Throughout the year. " As a result, they are now pursuing a rebranded TV over internet service in hopes of getting a monthly subscription from their subscribers.

In fact, the Current Version (2020) isn't exactly the same as the original, but it's still useful
5/5

As soon as I learned that Silicon Dust was releasing a limited run of this now discontinued item, I bought one as a backup to my original purchase from It still works, but 7 years is a long time to own a piece of electronics so I was happy to see that Amazon did have a few available for me to choose from. In this new version, there are a few cosmetic changes from the original In addition, the three LEDs which indicate the tuner is on have been removed from the front of the unit. It was useful to have these LEDs so that I was able to monitor my recordings and determine instantly if any were no longer transmitting. The fact that this happened so rarely was no excuse, but when it did, it saved lives. In the latest version, the book comes in a plain white box with no instructions, so if you're a newbie, you'll have to do some research to figure out how to operate it. The TV Setup routine in WMC recognized my new tuner when I was utilizing Windows Media Center, so all I had to do was run it in Windows 7 so WMC would recognize it. My cable provider did not require me to make a telephone call or activate the cable card. The program guide had to be reloaded after launching the WMC TV Setup because I use the EPG123 and Schedules Direct tools to maintain my Electronic Program Guides. As a result, I tested each of the 3 tuners to ensure that three programs could be recorded As you can see, all the recordings turned out well.
I imagine the days of cable cards are fast disappearing, but I am glad Silicon Dust provided this unit for us to have our own HD DVR without paying a monthly subscription.

My TiVo is holding me captive! After using this device for a year, I can finally say goodbye to TiVo! My HDHomeRun Prime has been with me since June 2017, and every day I am more and more impressed by what I can do with it
5/5

When combined with Plex, you have a highly powerful DVR and way to watch your content, but you can also stream live TV to any other Plex client using the HDHRViewer plugin. You can use it on your phone, too. You can chat from any part of the globe! That's a really cool device! It can be used with Comcast CableCARDs without any problem. While these things aren't perfect, they do function well enough. The DRM support is coming for everything else besides WMC (which I will not touch) but it hasn't yet arrived. In other words, HBO isn't available. This is all I have for As a result, HBO Go will fill the gap in this area. Furthermore, these kinds of gadgets are prone to problems caused by bad splitters and coaxial cables, and are very sensitive to changes in signal quality and strength. As soon as you try to set up the router, you will know that you have one of the (bad) cables or splitters. You can count on me for With Plex as well as this little box, I've never intended to go back to TiVo now that I have the capabilities that both of these offer! And let's not forget that it comes with no monthly TiVo membership fee! Do not pay attention to idiotic reviews with one star left by people who were too busy just buying the item, and not doing an adequate amount of research before they did so, and creating problems for themselves. In this section, there are many of those. I think you should have no problem with this, as long as you follow directions and manage to connect it physically. Ensure you do your research and find out if the solution will work with your setup just in case!.
