Product Description

In a beautifully designed silver brushed aluminum enclosure, the NESDR SMArTee XTR software defined radio
We have made a large number of improvements to previous designs, including integrating The bias tee contains 5V and 250mA and has an ultra-low phase noise of A 5PPM TCXO, two voltage regulators that are suitable for RF applications, 2 silicone pads, and a female SMA
This USB hub has been designed from the very beginning to avoid occlusion of USB ports. It is possible to run multiple NESDR SMART series devices alongside any USB-compatible device, including narrowly spaced embedded devices, such as the Raspberry Pi.
An SDR is capable of transmitting frequencies of 65MHz to 2300MHz. By using the Ham It Up, which can be found on Amazon (B009LQT3G6), you can extend frequency range down to 100kHz and lower.

Questions & Answers

Do you know what it does? I don't know what it is based on the description. To what purpose does it serve? In what sense does it operate?

A SDR is pretty self-explanatory to me, and I'm sure that any other person seeking this product will think the same way. There's no point in wasting valuable space explaining what an SDR doesn't do when you can find that information easily In product descriptions, you will find relevant specifications and details about the product that people interested in purchasing it will need to make an informed choice. In the description of the toilet paper product pages, it doesn't explain what it's used for. Do you think this is a one-time situation or do you have complaints about it in the future?

Useless if it doesn't work on USB How can Zadig be 0 without him?

There is no issue with USB 3 compatibility with this SDR I don't have any ports available. you are using a Windows machine, you must use Zadig for the driver installation process. If you need assistance with the installation of Nooelec's drivers, please contact them directly. My sincere thanks go out to you.

I want to find out if I need an upconverter for the NESDR- Where can I find a bundle for XTR?

I suppose it depends what applications are most appealing to you. Depending on which upconverter you are using, you will be able to listen to frequencies between 100kHz and 65 MHz however, the SDR itself has a frequency range of You have a great question, thank you!

Selected User Reviews For NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR - Premium RTL-SDR w/Extended Tuning Range, Aluminum Enclosure, Bias Tee, 0.5PPM TCXO, SMA Input. RTL2832U

The results were much better than expected We recommend that you buy it
5/5

In a nutshell, According to reviews, I wanted a HackRF One, but my order was canceled at the last minute. It was basically out of stock everywhere or well over $300 and I didn't have the patience to wait for a shipment from China, so I decided to try the SMArTee XTR SDR in the meantime. It was less than $40, so I had nothing to lose! I have included a video of it in my music video to demonstrate that it works very well. There was a fair amount of static in the lesson 1 of the Great Scott Gadgets tutorial on YouTube, which was surprising given how much static there was. It is true that I am likely to have better signal strength in South Florida, and I think my antenna is a bit better than the stock telescoping rod used However, the RTL-to-RTL conversion is not currently available An unexpectedly good performance was given by the SDR. Although this isn't a replacement for the HackRF One, it is still handy. Your first observation will be that you will need to drastically reduce the sample rate if you attempt to build any of the HackRF projects. With a sampling rate of 20MHz, the HackRF One is capable As described in RTL-A There is an order of magnitude difference in the sampling rate of the SDR and the XDR. There is a 2 MHz band. RTL-TV is a public television network based on the In SDR, all you can do is receive, and that limits its use. The RTL-SDR100 IS a cheap introduction to SDR, so I highly recommend it if you're looking for an SDR in the future I am using the XTR SDR SMARTee. This is a decision that you will not regret.

In the first unit it is A
3/5

It works on the second unit, but it does not. SDR's are something I am familiar with and I know how to set them up. There is no usb recognition on any of my machines. It looks to be well constructed but it is faulty. It is clear that the second unit works, but when will NOOELEC be held accountable for falsely advertising its specs? A receipt with a maximum of two claims will be added. A speed of 3 GHz is recommended. I bought it so I could see the LRO going around the moon both in and out of There are two GHz bands. I won't be able to do that. There are two peaks in the system. There is an 18 GHz processor. It has been determined by other buyers here on Amazon that their units have the same effect. It is false advertising to call yourself NOOELEC and change your description.

I highly recommend it and it works great
5/5

Due to the negative reviews for this model, I was unsure whether to order it or not. Previous to buying the NESDR SMART, I had no problems with it. The bias tee feature and the extra spectrum are what made me purchase this one. On my computer I use for my NESDR SMART model, I plugged this one into a USB port and ran As soon as it was recognized, it began to work. In SDR#, I shut down the software, plugged in the NESDR SMART to the other USB port, and restarted the application. Switching between devices has never been easier! There is nothing negative to say about this unit and I recommend it.

I like the way it works
5/5

FM radio was the first station I tried. I like. Then I listen to police band. I like. Then I listen to AM airband. My expectations were much higher than it has turned out to be. It is possible to receive digital signals. My opinion is that the tuning is perfectly calibrated, therefore no offsets are required at all. There are some problems with FM stations overloading it (causing some images of FM stations on other bands), so if you are near an FM station, you might want to place an FM trap in front of it. A kit for antennas is a must It is critical that you use a DC/DC block if your antenna is shorted to DC, as it will feed power to whatever is connected. The feature is not compatible with The gap around 1090MHz causes it to be classified as class B. I'm very happy with this.

Nooelec has once again come up with a great product! It's just a matter of understanding I wasn't a huge fan of it initially, but I later realized that most SDR software has a "workaround" for the E4000 tuner's quirks
5/5

Considering the obvious limitations of this tuner, I am not sure why people love it, but I am able to assure you that the sensitivity is right up there with the NESDR SMART and NESDR SMARTee despite the e4000 tuner. There are three, but it is my #3 choice. However, all three from which I choose to choose are better than the competition (who shall remain anonymous). I would not hesitate to recommend Nooelec to anyone who is just starting out in SDRs as they have so many choices. However, their products are the best and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is dipping their toe in the The support they provide for NOOELEC products is superb, and they will guide you through whatever problems you may encounter. It's rare for me to have such high respect for a manufacturer as I do NOOELEC, but they have never failed me.

The GOES satellite reception works great with this antenna
5/5

It was difficult for me to receive GOES 16 HRIT signals on an RTL-SDR Statistical Data Report. In the long run, it wouldn't want to lock at 1694 all the time. There is a 1 MHz frequency. With this frequency, the dongle works very well and is a bit more sensitive by a few decibels. As it pertains to the active bias In this application, the SawBird LNA acts as the front end and can satisfy the power requirements. In addition, it speeds up a lot more than the RTL-S This SDR dongle does not work.

This is a good SDR to start with
4/5

After almost daily use for 3 weeks now, the NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR seems to be working well so far. A touch of warmth is normal, but the surface becomes warm as well. The SMArTee XTR is heating up after about an hour of use and I haven't noticed any frequency drift. My other SDR is the NESDR SMArTee v2. I have been comparing these two. NESDR products could be improved by producing new products with a USB 3. I would have NESDRs feature a USB 3 connection. The USB 2. 0 connector has been replaced by a USB 3. 0 connector. There is no need to spend much more since they come with a 0 connector now. Create a SDR that has a full bandwidth of 25 MHz During the 2000 MHz band, there is no gap in frequency. It would be nice if Nooelec NESDR produced something like AirSpy or SDRplay SDRs that had a 12-watt transmitter This is either a bit or a 14-bit Having all the features of a bit ADC, but at the U. S. A. This could be tricky since most of the world has different frequencies for FM than the U. S. We may have to focus on band-stop or notch filters for our AM and FM frequency ranges. The only thing I am waiting on is an improved antenna, which is a discone, to really test this SDR and SMArTee v2.

It is indeed a bit misleading, but it is still a good device
3/5

I rate it 3 stars because of past experiences with Nooelec I consider myself a big fan of the company and have purchased many of its products. The reason for this purchase was the need for more bandwidth as well as the built-in bias tee for an LNA. The majority of the time I use my devices with SDR#, which happens to be my favorite software, however, when I plug in this device my software does not run, even after reinstalling the Zadig After setting up for my smartee device then switching to the smartee xrt, it will stop working and SDR# will crash. As Nooelec informed me, I should try another software app since SDR# would not work with the new dongle (I didn't see this mention anywhere in the instructions for installing the software). As my gateway to SDR play and AirSpy devices in the future, this is likely to be my go-to solution.
