How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Software defined radio with an ultra-low noise design capable of receiving nearly ANY RF signal between approximately 25MHz and 1700MHz. This includes only SDRs! The package includes an antenna bundle and can be found on The Amazon website. B079C4S2BT at Amazon.com
An unprecedented combination of performance and price - redesigned PCB reduces noise by more than 3dB when compared with other models. With all of the great features and benefits found in the NESDR SMART series, including a low phase noise TCXO, you are guaranteed to have a perfect signal every time
This form factor is the same as the other NESDR SMART devices, so you don't have to worry about USB occlusion - you can connect devices side-by-side without extension cables or adapters, even on embedded devices like
The most important thing is that it's always on. An antenna bias-tee with an independent ultra-low-noise power supply and 250mA voltage capability can be used to power nearly any active antenna circuitry without the need for drivers or software.
Nooelec is an American manufacturer who designs and manufactures their products Quality is second to none, and the warranty is 2 years long!

Questions & Answers

What is the bias tee on and how do you turn it It is important that I receive the 88Mhz signal 108 MHz as seen by my Winegard TV antenna log - This is true with periodic arrays. It is possible for the four to work together. What happens if 5v is applied to another device?

It is simple and inexpensive to simply plug in a capacitor to this device, if you have one already. Your cable should accept 01 uF. It needs to be wired into the device. As short as possible, lead lengths should be kept in mind to reduce impedance mismatches The FM broadcast band can accommodate matching and reflections in accordance with the broadcast band. This would be more of a concern if the frequency was 800 or 900 MHz.

Can you tell me what the current draw is?

We recorded a current draw of 280 mA for the NESDR SMArTee (measured under lab conditions). Please accept my sincere gratitude for your interest.

If one wanted to set the rf gain to 32db, what would be the process?

By using the controlling software, this can be done. With HDSDR I can capture a wide range of data. When you click the ExtIO button, you'll see a pop-up You can adjust the gain by sliding the slider in the up window. As well as keeping Tuner and RTL AGC off (unchecked), I also leave AGC checked.

Can anyone tell me if this works Do you know what the 1090mhz frequency is?

I believe that this would be well suited to With this SDR, you can adjust the frequency range from 25MHz to 20MHz I believe that 1090 should be within range because 1750MHz is a good round number. In order to receive 1090 MHz frequencies, we recommend finding an antenna capable of handling this frequency. Contact us at support. nooelec if you have any questions. We can help you choose an antenna if you need it! Please accept my sincere gratitude for your interest.

I ordered the SMArTee to replace an older model NooElec SDR to use with an HF up-converter cable and it was stable and sensitive
5/5

A second receiver and band scope can be attached to an amateur radio transceiver using the converter. As soon as I hooked it up, it felt normal and worked with my previous When monitoring WWV from a cold start, after a few tens of Hertz drifting in the first minute, it remained rock stable for more than a half-hour For the entire hour, I watched it, at least up to the resolution I had in my setup, and certainly to the extent that I needed for my purpose. As a result of running this A/B test with my ham receiver and the same antenna, I found that the sensitivity was nearly identical, which far exceeded Power is provided by the bias tee that is included with The use of it for this purpose is definitely recommended.

An error in the design of the Several PCs and USB extension tables are unable to fit properly with USB connectors because they do not extend far enough out of metal chassis
3/5

radio itself is quite good, but it disconnects at the slightest movement. I then tried another unit with the same result. What a shame, since the radio itself is quite good. I had to give the tech support people an absurd explanation, telling them it had something to do with the drivers or weight of the unit. The RTL has no issues at all with the competitor This is an SDR v3 unit. I am returning both units for a.

An excellent starter SDR, I highly recommend it
4/5

After a few weeks of using the SMArTee v2 SDR pretty much every day, the NESDR SMArTee seems to be performing well. It does become warm to the touch, but that is to be expected. It has been an hour since I used the Smartee v2 and did not notice any frequency drift after that. In addition to the NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR, I have had the opportunity to compare it. There is just something I do not understand about the RTL With SRD v3, you can select from a frequency range of 500 kHz to 20 MHz A system using 1700MHz rather than the 25 MHz to 25 GHz range of Smartee v2 A frequency of 1700 MHz is used. NESDR products could be improved by producing new products with a USB 3. I would have NESDRs feature a USB 3 connection. The USB 2. 0 connector has been replaced by a USB 3. 0 connector. There is no need to spend much more since they come with a 0 connector now. Create a SDR with a bandwidth of 25 MHz to capture audio from any source During the 2000 MHz band, there is no gap in frequency. It would be nice if Nooelec NESDR produced something like AirSpy or SDRplay SDRs that had a 12-watt transmitter This is either a bit or a 14-bit Having all the features of a bit ADC, but at the U. S. A. This could be tricky since most of the world has different frequencies for FM than the U. S. We may have to focus on band-stop or notch filters for our AM and FM frequency ranges. Now I just have to wait for a better antenna to arrive, which is a discone, in order to test this SDR and the SMArTee XTR in its full potential.

The heat gets to her, but it's worth it! If you use it outside in the sun (I live in Florida), it can get a little warm, especially if it's plugged into your computer
5/5

The cooling system still works in spite of the heat! I have run for about 30 minutes at the longest I ran it for 45 minutes and it performed very The NOAA weather channel was tuned in as well as local air traffic. UHF/VHF was the only channel I could not find on the internet. It's just a matter of finding more uses for Perhaps I can hook it up to a Raspberry Pi and see if I can do anything remotely with it. It is exciting to think of the possibilities with SDR!.

It's King Kong for dongles! NOOELEC is my first purchase since I was disappointed with the competition (not gonna mention their name Standard Deviation Rate)
5/5

I am very satisfied with this A huge plus is also the fact that it is manufactured in the USA and Canada! I highly recommend it!.

Period of time during which I did not work
3/5

In the absence of instructions, there is no action. No matter what I tried, I could not get my to work. It should only include the software that uses the drivers to make the little guy function. The instructions were followed to the letter, but there was no joy. Return the thing.

It's the best bias tee SDR I've ever heard
4/5

It was necessary to get a new SDR with a bias tee to support my NOAA weather image downloads via the sawbird LNA. I have it connected to a raspberry pi and running perfectly, and it powers my sawbird. Check nooelec website for the updates! If you use a PC, please download the drivers from nooelec.
