Recently, I purchased 30 of these devices for the installation of a restaurant. A total of 15 TVs are available, with both cable and Direct TV connected to each one. While the Video transfer and IR pass through are working flawlessly on all 30 units, the IR pass through only works at times. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it only works when you are right on top of the IR receiver, and sometimes it does not As I explained the issue via email to customer service, all they responded was to tell me to make sure the wall outlets were plugged in properly. It is obvious either they did not read the entire email or simply did not Bottom line, if you are going to use them only for video transmission, I would recommend them. However, if you need the IR pass through feature, then I would recommend looking elsewhere. I ordered 15 BAFX 2-gram boxes as a side note You will need to add IR repeaters to the system (about $12 each) for it to work.
As far as distances up to about 50' are concerned, the unit works well. You wouldn't get a signal if you can't get it to sync up or maybe if it will sync up and then you wouldn't get a signal on the TV. Having snagged the cable run, I ran a test cable across the floor to make sure everything was working properly. However, even though I had run a cat 6 patch cable, the cable had a My first step was to purchase solid copper premium cat 6 as soon as I saw it was working. Wired the new one and . . Had the same issue. I bought a different extender, plugged it in, and everything worked as it should. Just under 75' is the length of my cable run. In my testing it worked and looked good on the cat 5e 50' cable that spanned the room. Although it has a setting for longer distance, it didn't seem to be of help with the problem.
Due to a lack of HDMI cable behind the wall, I had to hide the cable from the cabinet to the TV utilizing the built in Ethernet connection. Having power over Ethernet sold me on this and it's working perfectly with my Denon and a 1080p signal showing on my TV to boot. It didn't work for me, however, on the IR part. Please take note There's an IR receiver on the HDMI transmitter box and an IR blaster on the HDMI receiver box to receive the IR signal. It was necessary to use the opposite configuration, with the IR blaster on the HDMI receiver up at the TV, in order to pass through the cabinet's power on/off signal to the TV. Reversing them didn't work, so I tried reversing them. The two of us don't have a problem I think the video was more important than the text, which was awesome!.
In the past, I've bought a few of these for a project I was working on, and they work very well. The devices are enclosed in metal housings and come with small mounting brackets that ensure that they can be mounted anywhere. As a result of the superior signal, there is no signal dropout, and it is easy to set up. As the boxes are small, you can place them nearly anywhere he wants and they will pick up the signal unobstructed from 6 to 8 feet away. Of course, they come with tape so you can place them everywhere. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, this product is worth considering.
I am very satisfied with this product. It is the only way to connect a 65in 4K TV to the closet. Choosing this extender was a great compromise since I didn't want to spend too much on it. There is no lag in the audio or video output from my receiver to my TV through the extenders. 5e UDP cable was used for a length less than 30 meters in my installation. I have tested the remote transmitters and they all worked as expected. I just plugged it in and it started working. It was very easy to capture pictures at 1080P with excellent quality. The only downside is that Smart TV displays do not support ARC. You would have to spend $300 on another extender that offers the audio return channel if you don't purchase this one. Rather than wire the audio into the receiver, it's easier to simply Bluetooth the audio.
A helpful customer service representative answered my questions. Ethernet cables were tried multiple times, but none worked. I spent an hour trying to figure it out, but I could not. Update
I was contacted by a representative and a replacement was sent. In addition to being kind to me, he helped me out. In the end, everything went smoothly.
installed six of them, and they are all working great, although they have cable lengths of 125 feet. My lesson learned over the course of my first week in video distribution A splitter or switch that is designed for a 30Hz frequency cannot be used to extend a 60Hz frequency.
Since I only installed it after a few days, I wasn't able to return the There was an issue with the unit's video with horizontal lines, and the next day the picture was completely black. Ultimately, I decided to buy a more expensive HDMI extender, so I haven't had any issues with this product.
