Hopefully, someone else in a similar situation will benefit from this: I have a Tritton mic/headset that I use for gaming on my PlayStation, but I couldn't get it to work on my PC for some reason. I had previously purchased a TROND USB sound dongle, which I used to get audio into and out of a small Baofeng handheld radio. Although it appears to be two mono signals, true stereo is extremely difficult to achieve, even with careful balance adjustments. It's fine, but I wouldn't buy it again; instead, I'd seek out other options.
