The two SSD drives go very fast and it's a great, little drive to store heavy video and audio files. I use it to free up space from my internal SSD drive. There is a big difference between the speed of the method and that of a standard mechanical external drive. With no problems, I am running the external drive off of a powered USB hub. As it is, the drive gets lost in a drawer pretty easily. I wish it was a little bigger.
