Thanks. It is going to burn at 8x because the writing speed is also determined by the media that you are using. For the burner to run at maximum speed it would need to be able to handle the highest speed it can. The media would also need to support the highest speed the burner can deliver. Blank discs are typically burnt at only 4x speed at top speed, so they will duplicate at 4x speed. I believe these problems have nothing to do with hardware and everything to do with blank media.

Despite the resurgence of Vinyl Records taking over the music market and the popularity of MP3 downloads defeating CDs one after the other, there is still a remnant of folk who still use the sound system we all grew up with! The Church, a Ministry, an Indie Artist, as well as Grandma and Grandpa still consumes this form of media today! Save your money! Acumen Disc does not want you to buy junk. Save your money! There is no point in buying junk from this seller because their product is not backed up.
