Questions & Answers

The usb device is 'disconnected' from the computer while it is connected to another computer, or is it kept in sync with the other computer?

I am not sure if that is a valid answer, but for those commenting that it doesn't connect to both computers at once, that is not what the question asks. I am wondering if the switch will simulate (with null input) a disconnected PC if it is connected via a cable. When the switch provides emulation, computers will never worry about the devices disconnecting or reconnecting, so when you are on the other computer, the switch will look like it is connected, but you might not be able to use it.

What if I only want to connect my keyboard and mouse? Does the micro usb port need to be connected?

Thank you for your inquiry. I will contact you shortly. It is generally not required to provide extra power for a keyboard and mouse if they are connected together. When connecting devices such as an external HDD, digital video cameras, and more, you have to plug the micro USB port into the laptop. Is there a keyboard shortcut that lets you switch between computers?

I immediately began to look at other products since keyboard shortcuts were not available. Adding a KVM to your computer is a must.

In my home, I have a quad monitor set with dvi, hdmi, or vga output capability, along with a Mac and a PC, but only four My usb hubs state they can daisy chain. Do I need to do that?

Your answer is yes. My current USB hub allows me to daisy chain another brand of hub to one of the ports of the ugreen and no issues have emerged. how much power is required by the other daisy chained items (like larger keyboard controllers, etc. ), you might need another power supply as well. I have no issue with USB thumbdrives.

It Has Functions, but I Can't Stand the Noise
3/5

The purpose of this purchase is to separate my Corsair K70 Keyboard and Logitech G502 Mouse between my Macbook and desktop. Both devices are able to be controlled by it it is working correctly On the other hand, when I turn on the backlight on my keyboard, I hear a high-pitched whining. As can be seen in other reviews, this problem appears to effect this product consistently. In my opinion, it is too annoying to use, so I don't want to be forced to turn off my backlight so I don't hear this incredibly irritating noise. The IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-in-1 caught my eye, and I decided to give it a go There is one USB port and one USB 3. A Peripheral Sharing Switch, the GUS402, is in use and has been working fine for the past couple of months without displaying any noticeable sound problems. It also comes with a remote switch that allows users to switch devices easily. In comparison to this device, I would definitely recommend it.

There seems to be a fuse that prevents the 4 from working
3/5

I made this product with the assistance of It would be better to use two USB-connected computers A USB-input jack was placed on the back for input, instead of a B receptacle This allows things to be reversed, as well as preventing ordinary cables from being used. A tad more insult was the fact that the cables included were only 3 feet long. Those curious to know, it is powered by a High Speed USB 2 card, the SGM7227. There is only one DPDT analog switch. A nameless microcontroller controls the LED illumination and switching logic, and the FE1 is used to interface with the USB hub. The USB 2 port can be connected to one computer. The High Speed 4 is 0 This controller controls the ports in the hub. As the hub controller has an input, it can report whether a bus or a self-powered hub is in use. As this input is left floating, but was measured at 4V, it is likely to report as self-powered. This will lead to overcurrent situations on upstream ports if you are not using an external power supply. It is important to note that the input USB ports use diodes on their power rails to prevent back-powered computers, but the supplemental micro-usb port does not, so be aware that this port can be There is no designation on the part, so it may just be a filter that prevents the four ports from drawing too much current. There may be a fuse protecting the ports from overheating. *The PCB appears to be 2 rows and 2 columns There is a multi-layer construction and it is highly unlikely that USB pairs will meet the impedance requirements of the standard. You should check the port that has the shortest trace closest to the LEDs.

There is no input lag for the mouse or keyboard
5/5

No software is The switch serves as a remote mouse and keyboard for me, and the following two things I have learned may be helpful to I. 1. It is not affected in terms of responsiveness. There was a concern that the switch might dull the speed of my mouse or create input lag when typing on my keyboard, both of which I dislike and have an extreme sensitivity The situation turned out to be very unthreatening. Using a USB receiver directly connected to my PC does not significantly affect the responsiveness of my keyboard and mouse. There must be some difference, but I cannot determine what it is. Please specify 2. You don't need any software to use this. In two computers, the switch is plugged in The PC I use at work and the laptop I use for work. Admin permissions are required for any software to be installed on the latter, so it was pleasing to see that the switch didn't need any software to work. - I really didn't have much to do other than plug in and play. There is no evidence Windows even tried to find a software for this device. I had no need for any,.

I have no doubt that this will work for you
5/5

I love being able to keep track of my work with this little gadget. Since I use both my personal macbook as well as my windows desktop, it was a hassle having to move around the desk while typing and having an extra mouse on the desk at the same time. The software I use at home allows me to share the mouse and keyboard, but since I'm on two different networks at work, this software is useful as well. As well as my mechanical keyboard and wireless mouse, I have the 4th port open to plug in whatever I want, which is generally a thumb drive to transfer anything I need I am impressed by how well constructed the device is, and how solid the button on it seems to be. My problem was fixed, and I am thus far very happy with this product. The only con I have is that it does not come with a micro usb cable for power. But everybody has a micro usb these days, so that's not really a big deal for most people.

I really liked it and it was I have saved an amazing amount of time and money by using this product! Normally, I use my desktop computer (which I rarely use, but still need access to) with one USB connector to connect my speakers, microphone, and WD Drive, but connecting them was a hassle
5/5

I searched for an option and found this device. Installing it was simple. Currently, I have a desktop computer on computer 1 The next computer is actually a dock along with my laptop, on which I keep both my personal computer and my work computer. My keyboard, mouse, USB connector for sound, and WD drive all connected easily without my sound connector. After I ran those USB cables, I connected my keyboard, mouse, USB connector for sound, and my WD drive. It took me a few minutes to update my drivers, but everything else was instantaneous. It's a great product! I highly recommend it!.

My MacBook Pro is setup primarily in office use, which means that the extra ports offer an expansion path in the future
5/5

I was looking for an alternative to switching wireless keyboard dongles between my Windows desktop and my Macbook Pro, which is mostly configured as a desktop. In addition to being well designed, it is also well built. It comes in an attractive gloss black finish and has the same form factor as a traditional USB hub. Detailed wiring diagrams are included (male to male USB A cable), and the cables are high quality (6' long each) to run to both computers with ease. Among the things I like about the Computer 1 and 2 position readout is the fact that it's just clearly legible - but some may not agree. The blue LEDs are operated at a low power level Instead of obnoxiously bright LED indicators, products of this type have typical dim My MacOS X 10 and my OS X 10. 8 systems both support the switch seamlessly and without any driver. The machines have both Windows 11 and Windows 7. Depending on your operating system, it will take 5-15 minutes to setup When switching host computers, there is a delay of 20 seconds. In addition to the standard 5V input, the switch can use a micro USB input with an optional 5V input (no cable included). Due to the low power consumption of my application, the 5V input was not required.
