There WONT be a problem if you have an ordinary Connect a USB cable to the switch to charge it. This keyboard and mouse swap tool has worked great for me so far to swap between a laptop and an iMac The software can be run on a desktop and is suitable for that use. As I had a bunch of power cords lying around, I didn't have a huge problem with providing my own, but wanted to make others aware that they may want to do the same. It was my expectation that I would not need it since my devices (keyboard/mouse) do not consume much power, but until I plugged in the Micro-USB cable I couldn't use it I was unable to connect the switcher box via USB. Both computers did not recognize the keyboard LEDs on the switcher box, which lit up when the status LED on the switcher box was lit up. Thought maybe it was a dud, but I plugged the Micro-USB in and it worked Once I plugged it into a USB power source, it worked like a charm.
Before, this setup took up a whole In order to set up a bedroom in the house, I recently had to move all of it to another shared purpose room. To consolidate everything, we had to give up one of our desk areas!
In the past, I had multiple keyboards, mice, and headsets laying around/hanging from my desk as I needed one for each of my machines. I ordered Switch Selectors and everything works beautifully now, In order to set up the computer, I simply plugged the USB cord from each machine into the switch box, as well as plugging the one set of peripherals into the box. With the driver software for one set installed on all machines, I can work/test 24/7 without interruption and I simply need to hit the button on top of the switch whenever I want to work on another machine. Within seconds the peripherals are disconnected from the first machine and turned on in The only complaint I have is the length of the USB chords that come with the switch in order to connect it to the PCs, whereas in my setup, where the PCs are on the sides of the desk, the chords are completely useless. Despite the fact that this can be easily fixed, you will need longer USB cords if you get this and your machines are not within close proximity to one another. As such, I bought this for the switch and not the USB cords and do not consider this a criticism, just stating it so that you will know that you will need longer chords if you plan on using this and your machines are not physically next to one another.
The extra ports provide the capability for future expansion. In addition to being well designed, it is also well built. It comes in an attractive gloss black finish and has the same form factor as a traditional USB hub. These hub to host (male and male USB A) cables are high-quality and long enough (60 cm) so they can reach both computers comfortably. I have successfully tested the switch in both my Mac OS X 10. 6 and 10. 7 computers without any driver issues. These machines run on Windows 11 and Windows 7. Depending on your operating system, it will take 5-15 minutes to setup When switching host computers, there is a delay of 20 seconds. In addition to the standard 5V input, the switch can use a micro USB input with an optional 5V input (no cable included). Due to the low power consumption of my application, the 5V input was not required.
I love Currently, I have two computers, one for gaming and one for all other purposes. My purpose for purchasing this switch was to be able to use one mouse and one keyboard on both machines, and it works perfectly. As well as transferring files back and forth, I had to transfer data between computers. One of the ports is hooked up to a thumb drive, so when I want to use the old computer, it switches panels and switches the thumb drive and keyboard. I have solved the problem! As a result of its small size and ability to fit in a small space, I really like this switch.
As part of my project, I needed to connect a USB keyboard, mouse, microphone, and audio device between my personal computer and my workstation. While the keyboard and mouse were in perfect working order, the microphone and audio device combination mysteriously stopped working at random times even when powered by the separate 5V Micro USB socket. The same thing would happen no matter which computer is It was a defective item, and I returned it The 0 Sharing Switch Selector 4 Port 2 Computer Adapter Hub should be used So far, I have not had any issues.
enjoy this product very much. I achieve what I expected and can use it again and again.
The goal of my KVM was to let two PCs share a keyboard, monitor, and mouse. This was the best choice for me. Despite a few improvements, KVMs seem to be a bad option even in 2021. When I remove those with outdated connectors such as VGA, and those that support HDMI but do not support high resolutions and refresh rates, I am left with a limited number of options. There are often concerns about the ones who remain. My choice was instead to go with a KM switch To switch between the two PCs, I connect the monitor directly to each of them, and use a monitor input. In this way, I will get 1440p/144Hz, no matter what. I have been able to use this switch with a keyboard and mouse without any problems. The device even has two extra ports so I can plug in anything else I need. Compared to that, it's more like a USB hub that can connect to two computers. My review is based only on its use as a KM switch. I have not plugged in anything that requires more speed than a keyboard or mouse, such as a flash drive or USB hard drive. One of its only two drawbacks is its small size and lack of The first thing I notice about it is how small and light it is. The size is very small and the weight is The book falls off my desk every time I put it down. As a result, I have to wedge it in between other items to keep it from falling off my desk back. A second claim is that it does not require the power cable included. I can't use the mouse when I don't plug in the power cable. As soon as you plug the mouse in, it It takes just a few minutes to plug in the I will plug it in to electricity and call this one a draw since it seems like other products have similar problems. Anyway, I find this to be a very useful tool for my use case and I would strongly recommend it to you if your needs are similar.
