The pushbutton switch is all you need. Even if there are only 2 or 3 computers in use, you have to go through the cycle of 4 clicks to get back to the same one. The switch is still a favorite of mine and I use it daily.
Since it can be used on any computer that recognizes a USB keyboard and mouse, it doesn't require any driver.

The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars was the lack of english. Although it lost 2 stars because of its darn button, it gained one back because of the price. All in all, a very good product. I did not find any artifacts or blur in the image, the switching was fast, and the general functionality was fine. I am blown away by the price. My favorite part of it is the simplicity. The new switches are a major improvement over the old beige ones. Interestingly, I encountered a small problem, as my Linux machine appears to be detected as a 1024x768 monitor. After some xrandr tweaks, that problem has been resolved. The software works well right out of the box with Windows 10. It is actually the button that is the real weak link here. I thought it was just a cheap micro momentary button in a very cheap plastic housing connected to a very cheap plastic housing with a very cheap wire. Such a dreadful button is a real problem when a well-made product otherwise displays such a high level of quality. I was unable to use it after less than a day. Soldering iron is all that was necessary to fix it in under a minute. This is not a big deal, but not everyone has a soldering iron handy to deal with The Rosewill button could be beefed up a little bit and this would be a 5 star product. I'd still recommend it heartily to my friends [who own.
Due to the placebo nature of their power supply, the port for it does not actually power the device. Second, if you are reading this, you are on the right track In some of these other reviews, the product has been rated highly, but they are for completely different products. It's not always what it seems. Here is my real headline It's not what it seems.
This handsomely designed device may seem like it's the best on the market, but it falls short in a lot of important aspects. Despite its name, this device does not have a power source. I strictly adhere to The 0 and 3 are not going to be read. Devices of any kind are not supported. Despite its appearance of being a super sophisticated hub with a hand side, it is merely an old product repurposed for a new purpose The usb ports are shelled and expanded, but they're unable to be powered because of a lack of power supply. The product in question is not a real Amazon product, and once exposed, they will revert to it It is the shelling of their product that is reprocessed You can release it again with more fake reviews under a different name. Additionally, it also has all the basic problems with Chinese tech devices Please note that. The computer does not power on at all (is not even powered needs to click the switcher twice to This button cord is super thin and can easily be ripped off (mine did so after only a month of use). There is something very clunky about the design, but it is light (will not hold a position, I suggest a paperweight if you have already fallen for their trap)*- Occasionally, it won't power up if too many devices are plugged in
- The devices will not be recognized by the computer when using the switcher - An USB hub is not powered by the switcher (even if it is plugged into the switcher as the only device). It does not work well with peripheral devices (constant disconnects and reconnects)
They think that they can get away with all the faults in their product, but in reality it is far from It is a waste of time with this shoddy USB switcher, so you should go and buy another one for $15. Therefore, all in all, you will be paying for a bulky, heavy, 2 port USB switcher with a button that if you lose, it will be useless, and you will not be offered They have slow and efficient tech support, as any Chinese brand would be. It is easy to imagine, I am sure.
I liked how it turned out. Sadly, however, it was Using a KVM switch can be extremely useful if you need to control more than one computer. During the review process, I found it difficult to decide whether to give this a 2 or 3 star rating. Finally, I came to the conclusion that 2 is the best choice.
On the plus side, I am pretty sure this was the cheapest model we found. The fact that I already used Rosewill products before led me to purchase this product. It comes with a cute little switch that transfers you from one PC to another with a press of a button. It is clear to see on the unit that houses the cables which PC1 and PC2 belong to. You can see which computer you are running by means of a green LED. There is no doubt that this piece of equipment is well made. How come two stars instead of more? I experienced an irritating problem in which my screen resolution was set to a lower resolution whenever I switched between PCs. Each time, I had to go into the display menu and ask for the resolution to be detected before applying it. I also had to move all my icons around after doing Whether this is a KVM problem or not is not known to me, but I suspect it is not intended to work like this. This device is not acceptable if I have to use it constantly and on a daily basis. However, price remains the primary consideration for my needs, and I have had to In the case that you have a project you want to complete quickly, then this might be the best option. If you work with two computers on an ongoing basis, then you may want to check out other options.
It still gets four stars from me for the same reasons as my initial comments. The box has just been opened. A rare Mini B, 5 pin connector is required for power connections (rather than the more The Mini 5 connector is not found on any of my chargers, power supplies, etc. Secondly, why was it not mentioned in the product description that a power supply was not provided? Nevertheless, I contacted Rosewill tech support (and connected the unit to a USB port on my PC), and they indicated that the unit would be effective for my purposes. I want to share two printers with two computers - A sufficient amount of power will be supplied by the computers. Dedicated power supplies are only a necessity if the hub will be used to charge other devices or external drives that do not come with their own power supplies. In terms of ease of use, the following would be possible In the instructions (and in speaking to the tech support agent), the author does not indicate how to determine which ports to use for outgoing communications and which printer will work with which computer. A diagram spelling all that out would have been helpful however, even a 2x2 matrix is enough for me to figure out by trial and error.
