Yes, it is compatible with the Zero W. We've added two tops to this case: One is for the old Zero, and the other is for the new Zero W. Unfortunately, Amazon had some out-of-date inventory that we were unaware of. Please notify us immediately if you receive a case that does not fit. This is for all of you who are reading this and are customers. Thank you so much for taking the time to clarify!
You can reverse the stainless steel bolts and standoffs, or tube nuts, that come with this case, but I'm not sure how well that would work in terms of attaching the case to a larger structure.
As of August 2017, this case DOES work with Zero W. It's now being shipped with a top that can be used for 1. 3 as well as a W-friendly top

This is a fantastic little case. Two tops were included, one for the Pi Zero and the other for the Pi Zero W. The processor heat sink cutout is the only difference, and you'll be able to tell which one fits your case. br>br>The case came together nicely. The screws go into the bottom plate snugly, making assembly a little easier. The micro SD slot does not line up with the indent on the case's end, as others have pointed out. That doesn't bother me at all because I can still pull the micro SD card out with my fingernail and the SD card is well protected. And no, my fingernails aren't particularly long. br>br>In a small pouch, I carry a Pi Zero, a pocket keyboard, an HDMI cable, and adapters. It's ideal for putting together a "hotel travel kit. " I simply connect to the hotel TV in my room. My Pi Zero is extremely well protected by the Zebra case, which also happens to look great. This case is highly recommended for those who, like me, do not intend to use the Pi Zero in an embedded project; however, there is a version of this case with a GPIO slot for those who require access to the GPIO ports.
The ridges that keep the SD card from protruding while still allowing it to be removed without tools are an example of good design. The CPU heatsink and cutout (I use this case with a Pi Zero W, but it also came with a different top that could be used with a regular Pi Zero, whose CPU is positioned slightly differently) are also nice touches. br>br>When I received my case, one of the screws was stripped, but I emailed C4 Labs right away, and they quickly responded and sent me replacement screws. It was actually a pleasure working with them, and until the replacement arrived, I was able to use the case with three screws. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, and any future Zeros I purchase will be kept in this case.
The cables fit snugly into the Pi sockets. This is the second time I've used a Zebra Zero case - The first was the "GPIO" variant, which was used with a Pi Zero WH, but this one is for a Pi Zero W, so no hole for the connector header is required. The case is delivered in a number of cut sheet plastic pieces. The protective paper can be easily removed by soaking in warm water. After that, all you have to do is stack the pieces, including your Raspberry Pi, and secure it with the provided bolts. If you're not as clumsy as I am, it should only take you ten minutes. This was purchased to replace my "official" Raspberry Pi Zero case, which had become damaged due to my micro-SD card. In that case, an HDMI cable would never be able to securely connect to the Pi. It's not an issue in the Zebra Zero.
Edited on the 7th of August, 2017. When I read the product, I was taken aback by the price because I'd bought my friend a Raspberry Pi three years ago for $35, so I thought, "cool, he's found one that's cheaper, and the prices on those Raspberry Pi's have come down A LOT. " "I didn't think much about the order after I placed it and received the shipping confirmation because my son lives in another state with my ex. "Mom, I think there's something missing with my order," he said when he got it. "I asked why he thought that, and he replied, "I don't know. " That's when he revealed he'd only gotten a case. hahahaha! br>br>So, I told him that the order was most likely for a single case, which would explain the low price, but I was going to double-check online. It took me a while to realize after reading the item and description that it was indeed the case only - I believe I made my way down to the reviews. br>br>He stated that he believes the case is fine, but we won't know for sure until I give him an R. It is possible to enter it. And as soon as I do, I'll make a note of it in this review. ***** FOR THE SELLER: br>br> ****
Please update your product description because it isn't as clear as it could be; perhaps something along the lines of "case only" could be added somewhere in the description, so 11- year- olds - My son, for example - who have a technological background Because they are savvy but only 11 years old, they will not always be able to tell whether an item is an electronic component or an accessory to an electronic. You must realize that many of you, both girls and boys, are self-teaching technology, e. g. They're the ones who need to understand what you're selling because they're teaching themselves how to write code, build computers, and play with computer/electrical components, among other things. I'm happy with my purchase, and we'll keep it; however, I had to deduct two stars because it wasn't exactly what we expected, and I'm not sure how well it'll work without the actual component. He'll be able to get an R once he receives it. , I'll make the necessary changes to my comment. Thanks! br>br>**** Editor's Note: I just got a message from the seller, who informed me that Amazon messed up the product description for this item. She was extremely pleasant, and as a result of our interaction, I am raising my rating to a 5-star rating. Despite the fact that I'm still unsure how it will work with the Raspberry Pi that I intend to purchase for my son, I give it five stars. Karen's customer-service skills, on the other hand, are unrivaled. My desire to do business with C4 Labs in the future has been sparked by their friendly demeanor. Thank you a lot! ****.
The fact that you get two top case covers is not mentioned in the Amazon product description. The first is for the wireless Pi Zero, while the second is for the non-wireless Pi Zero. The difference between the two covers is not marked or illustrated, but when you try to install the top cover, it becomes obvious. Between the two versions of the Pi Zero, the CPU chip location on the circuit board differs slightly. You place the top cover on top of the CPU heatsink, which has the correct cutout location. After you've finished putting it together, the case looks great and protects the Raspberry Pi Zero's delicate I/O ports. Strongly suggested!.
The Raspberry Pi Zero W is completely protected by this case. Clear plexiglas is used for the top and bottom plates. Two spacers protect the internal components, and four washers ensure that everything fits together perfectly. Two top plates are included to fit different Pi Zero models. The heat sink is supposed to be attached before the rest of the parts are put together, according to the instructions. I did it after I finished putting everything together to make sure nothing was off. If you need to mount the final assembly, you can use double stick foam tape. If you want to use the Pi Zero with a GPIO Header, you'll need to modify the case. Yes, I'd tell a friend about this service. The end result is a 70mm Lx32 image. 5 mm W x 15 mm H.
