Questions & Answers
Two buttons on the case's top IO control the fan's colors and effects, such as rainbow, color shift, and so on.
There's a slight slant in the upper left hand corner, and it's about 2 1/4" high x 5 1/2" wide. In addition, there is about an inch of space between the case and my Seasonic PSU.
Outside air is drawn in by front fans.
I'm not sure about the cable, but the part number for the bracket is listed in the specs section of Phanteks' website when you view the case.

However, due to the COVID lockdown, I've been suffering from an upgrade bug and needed a new case project to keep me occupied and sane. br>br>After months of research, I settled on the very sexy-looking new P500A, which was unveiled at CES 2020 while the world was still making sense. But, due to the covid situation, it was a long wait for shipments to arrive from China via ship, but my patience paid off, and I couldn't be happier to retire my Evolv ATX in favor of the sexy new white p500A, which will allow me to finish my "Blizzacron" case project in time for Cyberpunk 2077! PROS: br>br> 1. br>br> Many websites, such as HardwareCanuk and Gamers Nexus, will vouch for the excellent air cooling provided by the new metal mesh. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Metal mesh filters dust and hair extremely well, and it's incredibly simple to clean because there's no filter to take out; simply wipe with a damp paper towel. Owners of cats, such as myself, are overjoyed!br>br>3. The built-in RGB with DRGB model is extremely well-done on all levels, and it was a major selling point for me. The RGB header on the mobo can also be used to control it. In motion, the "Knight Rider" strip, as I like to refer to it, looks slick as hell. br>br>4. The wire management built into the side panels of the case all around is fantastic and extremely simple to implement. br>br>5. The white color scheme is stunning. br>br>6 USB 3. There are one Type A port and one USB 3. 0 port. Future proofing is very nice with 1 gen 2 type Cbr>br>7. It's a LOT easier to install a PSU from the back with a PSU bracket mount! 8. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> The open grill design built into the case metal allows for excellent airflow from the back and top of the case. This case will be a hit at the watercooler. br>br>9. Glass panel access is no longer restricted by thumbscrews! Thank you, God! The hinged glass door is lovely, and the magnets that hold it shut against the case are very strong. CONS: br>br> 1. br>br> The RGB Phantek fans that come with the kit are 3 pin, not 4 pin. br>br>2. At speeds above 2060% RPM speed, stock RGB Phantek fans become very noisy. This is also confirmed by KitGuru/Hardware Canuuks reviews. br>br>3. Is there no fan controller included? That is simply unacceptable at this price point, Phanteks. The majority of buyers would gladly pay an extra $5-$10 if it meant they could get a better deal. Because stock intake fans are 3 PIN and mobo fan headers are limited, it's worth a tenner to include this. This penny-pinching decision gets a boo hiss. br>br>4. Control of paint quality. My first P500A had terrible white balance on the back panel, as if the factory had painted over a "bad" paint job, and it looked terrible and had to be returned. YMMVbr>br>5. YMMVbr>br> If you don't watch what you're doing, plastic cable cover sliders can easily pinch or damage fan cabling. I'd much rather have silicon openings, as my EVOLV ATX did. br>br>6 There are no PSU silicon/foam mounting points on the case's bottom? Cmon, Phantek, you're doing it again with the penny pinching. To keep PSU vibration out of the case, I had to make my own. br>br>7 Is there no activity light on the HDD or SDD? Ung. Phanteks, are you kidding me?.
Like 1: The airflow is excellent. br>Similar to No. 2: The location and method of attachment of the dust filter screen is excellent. Instead of the previously worn-out plastic spring detent sockets (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe), the magnetic mesh on top was a nice touch. br>Favorite number three: The sleek, minimalistic styling is appealing, as is the magnetic and gasket sealed tempered glass side face. br>Like 4: The cable management is excellent. br>Favorite number five: For those who prefer water cooling, excellent modularity is available for either HDD installation or pump/reservoir cooling solutions. br>Similar to No. 6: Fans (3 front, 1 rear, 3 top), radiators in front or top, or even a small radiator in the back are all excellent options. br>Favorite number seven: The thumbs up It was a nice touch to use a screw adapter plate to mount the Power Supply to (using regular screws for the PSU to the adapter plate, and then thumb screws for the adapter plate to the case). I didn't realize how much I desired it until I received it. br>Favorite number eight: Anti- For PCIe cards, a sag bracket is used. br>Similar to No. 9: Optional vertical GPU mount with two positions, one of which does not completely block airflow. (It's not something I use, but it's an interesting option. ) br>Like number ten: 3 x 3. SSD trays for 5 inch SATA drives. br>Similar to No. 11: No RGB. (This is purely a personal preference, but I despise RGB, which is why I went with this over the Phanteks P500A Digital. ) br>br>1 Dislike: Only two front fans are included with the purchase. Instead of only two front fans, this should come with three (like the Phanteks P500A Digital). br>Dislike number two: Some larger motherboards (EATX) with downward facing connectors that are parallel to the PCB plane rather than perpendicular to the PCB plane have a limited amount of clearance. For instance, to fit my USB 2, I had to clear some space in the case. On my X99 Classified, there is no header. This has no bearing on the overall rating; rather, it's something to keep in mind if you have downward-facing headers or power connections on the bottom of a large motherboard.
I have a prebuilt HP gaming PC that I've been upgrading components on for a few months now. The one issue I had was that the airflow in my prebuilt PC case was terrible. So I went out and bought a new case, dismantled my old PC, and reassembled it in the new case. In comparison to my previous case, this one is extremely well constructed. It was satisfying to construct this computer with well-thought-out points, high build quality, and a fresh appearance. I'm tempted to disassemble this case and rebuild it from the ground up. Because of the excellent airflow, unlike my previous Prebuilt PC, I can now close the side panel.
