Questions & Answers

The case is thermally efficient when the side panel is closed, but how does it work when it is open?

With a Ryzen 7 5800x, stock case fans and a Noctua cooler, my system is currently set up. I get about 40-45 emails a week A typical temperature with low load is 50C, and the highest temperature I have ever seen is 79C.

Is there a fan pre-installed on this device?

It does come with three fans installed by default

A few months ago, I purchased an ASUS M5A97 R2 laptop. RGB is a new feature on my motherboard, and my previous experience is with octal color. Can I get the RGB front light to work with some sort of hub or adapter?

All this case needs to operate is the rgb front panel and the buttons on the top of the case

Is there a way to put a microsd card in my laptop Is there an ATX motherboard that fits in there?

Sure, I can do that!

A quality product
5/5

This is the best investment you can make. You will be amazed at the features this sub-100 USD case has to offer. Due to not requiring tools for nearly all of the build, this is the fastest build I've ever done. The drive sleds, the ability to cycle led signals from the front IO, the easy cable management and of course the double hinged tempered glass doors make this my favorite display. It's amazing how flexible it is. I attempted to be objective and the only things I could mention as a negative are that I wish there were a press to open the two glass doors and that it is a heavy case (because it's made of As long as it is available, I plan to purchase this case again. Update

This is a new case I just bought!.

I have three suggestions the good, the bad, and the ugly
4/5

It was purchased for the purpose of upgrading the existing components from a full-size tower that I found was lacking in ventilation. As a quick build, here is what I did This is Lian Li Lancool II between the mid-1990s and the mid-1999 The size and configuration of your tower (obviously)• MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard
• Intel I9-4820K processor *5-inch SATA III internal SSD (boot drive). • Three hard drives of various brands with a combined storage capacity of 7GB. -2 Corsair QL140 RGB case fans (front ventilation input) - 3 Corsair QL120 RGB case fans (1 rear ventilation exhaust, and two replace the ML120 fans on the H100i radiator) ***The It was fairly straightforward to build this tower. In some ways, it was even easy. • The pull down lower sides, HDD enclosure (total of three, of which I use one), removable front panel and side panels, as well as multiple access points between the left (CPU) and right sides of the tower play a big part in the ease of building. The ventilation inside this tower is much better all the way around (which was the expectation I had). Across the board - CPU, memory, and motherboard - the full tower regularly got up to temperature that was 5 to 6 degrees Celsius higher than what was expected (35 to 36 C for the CPU), which presented a wear and tear issue. There are new towers in the new area. It is to be expected that the new tower will also produce quite noticeable temperature differences when A perfect placement of the motherboard standoffs was achieved! Having my first experience in that manner is pretty exciting. It's amazing how well the screw holes on the motherboard line up with the stand offs once I place it in place. As far as screwing in the screws was concerned, no problems occurred. That's a first for me too! Access to the inner workings is offered much more easily thanks to the magnetic attachment of the bottom and sides. We were able to install the power source - all the cabling included - fairly easily by moving the case forward a little. In the end, the results are pleasing to the eye and perform There is only one bad thing in this world The right side "plates", which are supposed to hide the cabling, do not work for me, since they are too thick for the regular power supplies. As the only way to use them was to pull the power supply cables tight on that side, leaving the left side with excess cabling cluttered and less attractive. Right now there is little to no support for the right-side glass enclosure. As long as this holds, I will probably leave it alone. If I have to scratch my head and experiment, I will probably have to sit back and wait for the results. * The installation guide is pretty much a set of pictures, which can make it a bit too confusing for the uninitiated. Upon first glance, I noticed that the part of the front panel that showed the RGB wiring was displayed incorrectly. A perfect alignment of the front panel with the three male headers on the frame was achieved. In addition to the RGB cable, there are two other cables attached to the front panel. In addition to the SATA cable for the power coming from the two RGB buttons on the front panel top, there is also a four-pin RGB cable coming from those buttons to be connected to the small four-pin cable that comes from the front panel bottom. In the manual, one four pin connection is incorrectly shown as going to an LED header on the motherboard. Ignore it! Then connect the two 4 pin cables according to the above instructions. As described above, the manual consists of a set of pictures, each of which has its own one-sentence description. There are some that are straightforward, and there are some that leave one scratching one's head.
• There is no HDD LED light, which shouldn't be a problem for me since I have built several systems in the past. I was a little surprised by that. It is always nice to know that the build's data is being accessed, despite its not being a big issue. * The RGB lights on the front panel of the computer are kind of disappointing. The two RGB buttons on the top of the front panel can be used to select a number of display options, but they yield pretty old results. To light up the tower, I picked a solid blue color for the front panel and let the RGB lights on the motherboard, memory, case, and AIO fans do the job. Here's a suggestion In a perfect world, those metal plates would completely hide the cables and SSD placements on the right side of the panel however, the right side of the panel is basically the cabling and SSD placements It would be better if the swing out panels were made of metal instead of plastic. Is this working? Why is it even necessary to have a glass panel when all one can see is metal (or in my case, how many Considering my desktop placement (as shown in the picture), the left side of the screen is clearly highlighted, it is not a major issue for me. It is a good tower, all things considered. My ventilation concerns were addressed and only the right side panel was too tight to fit. It was a simple build with no issues. It is recommended to go to the Lian website and download the installation manual (this is recommended), but you'll need several fans to replace the three 120MM fans supplied (spend about $20 per 120MM fan to replace the 3 provided). In light of the nitpicks described above, I am giving this a rating of 4 instead of 5.

I like it a lot
5/5

The case looks beautiful, and I am totally pleased with it after watching numerous reviews that rave about performance, quality, and price. I cannot say that I am disappointed, however. My only complaint would be that managing the cables for all eight fans was difficult without bulging the panels. It turned out to be manageable, however. With the addition of the accessories, the case is so packed with features that it's hard to take it all in. I have absolutely no complaints at all about this purchase.

The Lancool of Lian Li II is called "Heat
4/5

". I knew this case would give me the look I had been looking for, and it does not disappoint. It's only the ventilation issues at the front that are bothering me. I saw a video on YouTube about a month ago showing that the MFGR was going to change this case to add a completely METAL MESH front that should significantly improved As I had already purchased my copy, hearing this afterward is a bit disappointing since I could have waited until the latest release of the app will be available in The Lancool II Drive Bay Hot Swapable Backplate Mod is made by Lian Li and replaces the existing backplate by a new one. We tested the 3X and found some concerns like the SATA plugs utilizing 90% of their attachments and growing outward from the lower right corner, as well as almost exceeding the length of the lower right metal door. Furthermore, Lian LI installed a plate almost in the same location as the backplate that is used as a stabilizer when the mod is not used, but must be removed if the Hot Swap Mod is to be installed and it is not specified in the very basic user's manual. It is my first build and I am new to this, so some things may escape me, but for example, the front is designed with plug connections that need to be attached to the case, yet the case did not come with them, which is confusing as their location is not in the In the end, I purchased this case for $114 rather than the regular price due to its being a case I wanted, until I heard that a new one was coming out soon, but the advertised price was about $90 and I spent $114 on this case. In my opinion, this case is very well made and at the price I paid, although it was a little more than originally advertised, it is a good.

You have a lot of options if you want to build it yourself
5/5

For the most part, this case is very impressive. The material is superb, as is the workmanship. The design of the machine was considered carefully to keep cables hidden, allow an adequate flow of air, and look great. There are just a few complaints I want to make. The RGB values for the FRONT are as follows There's either a problem with the LEDs on the front, or I hooked them up incorrectly. In front of the front panel, you will find a male and female connector. This is how I hooked up the female to my motherboard's three pin led header. There is nowhere else for it to go. They don't mention the RGB at all, and the instructions are not very clear. The FANs It came with only three fans, each of which has three pins. For my mobo to power and communicate with them, I had to purchase 5 new 4 pin fans. Although it was possible to add two more above the power supply, I didn't feel it was necessary. The hard drive cage consists of It was very difficult for me to get this all the way forward so that power supply cables could be placed closer together. I really enjoy this case other than these two things. I am very pleased with the product and it is The bag is extremely heavy, by the way.
