Questions & Answers

Is it possible to fit three 140mm fans in the front, three 140mm on the top, and one 140mm in the back in this case?

This case can support a total of four 140mm fans: two in the front, two on the top, and one in the back.

Is it possible to keep the RGB lighting blue indefinitely? Is it necessary for it to be orange or rainbow-colored?

Yes, this is possible.

Is the pure base 500's front panel made of aluminum or plastic?

It's made of plastic and hasn't been dampened in any way. It resonates badly if you have an unbalanced CD in your player. br>In addition, you must remove it to clean the dust filters, which cannot be done without removing both side panels.

However, this is a fantastic case
4/5

They considered every possibility. PROS: Almostbr> In general, this is a very well-thought-out case. br> excellent build quality and cable managementbr> includes 3 top-rated, quiet, high-quality fansbr> the top dust filter fits nicely INTO the top of the case rather than resting on top like others dobr> LED lighting is elegant rather than obnoxious. CONS: br>br>
- Two USB 3. 0 ports are required. Instead of one, there are 0 ports on the front panel. br>- The fans are 3 pin, which interferes with the fan speed controllers on some motherboards. br>- The front ports (USB and sound) are located on the top. It would have been preferable if the side had been betterbr>- does not include a mount adapter for SFF power supplies (this was not expected, and it was not required - For $10, you can get one from Silverstone)br>- To comfortably mount an AIO cooler, there needs to be another half inch of space between the motherboard and the top of the case. If you go that route, make sure you do your homework.
- LED lighting is more expensive (shrug)br>- Dust filter on the top. What is the rationale behind case manufacturers' actions? So you don't have any dust in your bag? That, in my opinion, defies logic.
- br>br>INSTALLATION NOTES: There is no place to mount a DVD (or whatever gadget you want to use instead)br>br>
- If you want to move the front fan, do so before installing your video card, as it will get in the way of the screwdriver.
- My Corsair SFF power supply's 24 pin power cable needed to be extended to reach the motherboard ($8 at Fry's for a good 9 inch extension)br>- If your motherboard does not have a front-panel USB port, C you can either buy an adapter that will allow the port to work with your mobo's USB 3. 0 port, or you can use your computer's USB 3. 0 port. 0 header, or you can spend $25 on a PCIE card with a connector. br>- If you don't have enough (like me), I read that plugging up to four fans into a single mobo fan header is generally safe. br>br>UPDATE: There is 58mm (2. 75") of clearance with an Asus X570 TUF Plus mobo installed. Between the memory and the case's top, there's about 25 inches of space. I believe the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 is the thickest, at 53mm thick. That's the thickest AIO cooler you can use with that board; if you don't use tall memory sticks, you might be able to go even thicker. not sure.

It's a nice case, but there are some issues with quality of life developing in it
4/5

This case is sturdy, attractive, quiet, and cool to the touch. It is something I would strongly suggest. br>br>Both the RGB front strips and the ambient internal lighting are tasteful, and they can be controlled via the motherboard/software or the front panel button. In many other cases, the three included 140mm fans are a step up from stock fans, being both stylish and virtually silent. There are a lot of useful loops for cable management in the back. The case layout leaves plenty of room for the PC components you'll use, without a lot of extra space for things you don't. It should also keep dust out fairly well. However, there are a few points to consider:br>br>1. The instruction manual is extremely inadequate. There are only a few diagrams in the book. The included screws are not labeled in their packaging to match the manual, and they appear to be visually similar, making it easy to confuse the HDD screws with the motherboard screws, or vice versa. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The front panel must be removed with considerable force in order to gain access to the fan mounts or the front dust filter. Only a picture of how to remove the panel is included in the manual, with no mention of the slightly alarming force required. It's not very user-friendly, especially since the stock fans only have one rear and two front fans. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The SSD tray/cable management panel is removable, but it's a little tight, and there are no eyelets for twist ties on the back. 4. br>br> Because the PSU shroud lacks a cable management hole, PCIe power cables must suffocate motherboard cable connections. 5. br>br> Unlike some other BeQuiet! products, the HDD bay does not have removable trays or vibration isolation. cases. br>br>In my opinion, a second USB 3 type-A port would have been preferable. Due to the lack of type-C ports on many motherboards, a front panel port is used instead of the type-C port. Header C on the front panel. However, this could change in the near future. br>br>While the PSU shroud is ventilated, I would have preferred to see it support fans or vertical GPU mounts, especially since this case has the width to accommodate a vertical GPU with adequate airflow.

This is a fantastic case for the middle market
4/5

It's been about 20 years since I've built anything. There has been a significant transformation. I wanted a case that was simple, quiet, had a good mix of modern features, was understated in appearance, and was simple to work with. This is quite effective. br>br>I'm deducting a star because the power button is easy to press while using the USB port next to it. The button is large, close to the port, flush with the case, and requires only a small amount of movement to activate. Several times, I have unintentionally turned off my computer. It's a good workaround to change the function of the power button in Windows settings, but why should I be concerned? It's especially dangerous when you're installing your operating system from a USB drive. br>br>In addition, the middle motherboard mounting pin was bent, and I had to straighten it with pliers. It appears that a few people have voiced their dissatisfaction with this. The pins and standoffs are permanently installed. My motherboard was a tight fit, and it took some effort to get it to line up perfectly in all of the holes. In addition, the instructions are a little lacking. To figure out what all the parts and cables are, I had to go back and forth between the motherboard and case manuals a few times. br>br>Aside from that, it has three nice fans, front USB 3 and C ports, and tasteful, easy-to-turn-off lighting. The cables are already well-routed, and Velcro holds them in place. It is simple to dismantle and reassemble. Sturdy. When the system is idle or under load, it runs very quietly, and it mutes the fans a little. I installed a Ryzen 3950, which required a lot of cooling, and the case achieves a good balance of airflow and quiet. br>br>I'd like to see some silence! Produce higher-end high-flow cases with more features and a higher-quality build. Not that this case isn't solid and affordable, but I believe the concepts behind it, when combined with those from their higher-priced series, could create something truly unique.
