This app had a tragic flaw that ruined it for me as a brilliant idea for keeping track of keys, etc. Even though when traveling out of wifi range, this puts a significant load on the phone battery (you use a mobile app to locate your keys), it only works if location services are enabled always. The amount of battery life I get from this app has decreased since I added it and activated my tile. It tells me that my tile has been disabled if the location service is selected as "when using the app. ". There is a need for this to be corrected- Since a tile is immobile a lot of the time, or we know exactly where the object is, we do not need to track its location.

Using tiles has been a part of my life for several years. Considering that I am somewhat forgetful and lose track of small (or even not so small) objects, they are a vital product for me. It is very helpful to be able to find your keys, your wallet, your purse, and even your coat. There is a pretty cool way that it works you can put a tile on an object that you are worried about losing, and then you can download the app to You can keep track of the objects on your tile by periodically checking your phone. The app will then attempt to connect to your object using bluetooth when you tell it to find it. When it detects your phone, it connects and plays a sound, letting you know where it is. In the event that it cannot connect, the app shows where (on a map) it was last able to communicate with it, so, if you left it at work, and are now at home, you will know where you left it. What a neat idea! In spite of this, this product has definitely deteriorated over the years. The next time you try to locate something that you brought with you earlier in the day, but it is not nearby and you look back at the location, it will tell you that it was a month ago or something like that. The feature simply isn't worth anything anymore for the use case for which it was once useful. Despite its limitations, it is still useful for finding things that are near you, but when you are not nearby, it does no longer serve its purpose.

In the beginning, all of us need to be aware that the warranty on Tile is crap. Then they won't swap you out once you're a month or two in. It will only provide a coupon code to offset the cost of a new system. That doesn't seem to fit with a 1 year warranty, does it? Using the old version of 2018, we stuck the collar on the dog and it connected well. The dog was trained to come to the front door immediately after an alert was sounded, and it worked until the dog died prematurely (9 months). In our case, we have an invisible fence covering a little more than an acre, and it connected instantly and covered a lot of ground. It is true that we only used the Tile outside on sunny and dry days. This new one takes F O R E V E R to connect, even if you are next to the Tile. It can now connect for only 80 - 100 ft at most, depending on the distance you are at The item can be held up in the air if absolutely nothing is blocking the shot. The lock was ordered to be used with each of his and her keys as well as the iPhone. Initially struggled to set up with instructions on the app, but then managed to setup with customer support after an hour of troubleshooting. The pain is not relieved. My ability to set them up is either limited or the parts are defective. The product is not satisfactory (I'm a graduate engineer, somewhat computer savvy and usually able to make things like this work. ).

These tiles were part of a four pack that I bought on the assumption that they could be used as GPS tracking tiles. I found that once you disconnect from the phone, the app will disappear. The only way you will get your keys back is if you lose them in the open and have no idea where to look. you're looking for a GPS tracking device, this isn't what you're looking for.

I was excited to use, but my test results were mixed. The odds were against me, so I thought I would win. When I started attempting to program the second tracker, it did not work. It was my first time attempting to program. As of today, all trackers on the second box seem to be working. I woke up the next day. It had been some time since we had found one of our car keys, so I went to put it on the tracker that formerly Since then, it has stopped working altogether! Neither the speaker nor the phone can hear it. Neither can it be found, nor will it try to find the The other trackers will be brand new when they lose their charge. When then? Other than that, the other six do not appear to be having any problems. The fact that you can give them names and take pictures is also fantastic. There is a different key for each one so it's easy to keep track.
