Questions & Answers

What is the average RMS for these subs?

There isn't anything you can buy to give you RMS power.

What size amplifier would be suitable for driving two of these subwoofers?

I'd look into a Planet Audio monoblock amp with a power output of at least 3 to 4000 watts. It might be a good idea to get a spare battery or capacitor so that your battery and alternator are not overworked.

Is a 4000 watt Planet Audio amp going to be too much for two 15-inch subs?

The 4,000-square-foot facility Two AC15D subwoofers and a watt amplifier should be enough. Thank you very much.

What is the ohm resistance of both voice coils when they are running? 4 or 2? For my Infinity S, I require 4onm replacements. 150s. ?

There are two 4 ohm resistors on this one.

After two weeks, it had completely bled
3/5

I purchased this sub in October and installed it on December 1st. I've been installing audio systems in cars since I was eight years old, so I'd like to think I know enough to do the job right. I installed this sub on a 600w Jl audio amp, which is far less than the 2100w this sub is rated for. For two weeks, I wore out my sub by listening to low-volume bass music. (December 16th) When I felt the sub had broken in, I increased the amp by a quarter of a decibel. The sub had a powerful and clear impact. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality produced by this sub. Then, on Monday, the 24th, while driving to work, the sub abruptly began rattling, despite my low listening levels. The coil inside the subwoofer appears to have separated. This has angered me greatly. My money seems to have been squandered.

Bass with a low price tag I've had these for a while and they're great for a starter system
5/5

You have to break them in before you start jamming on them or you'll smell them, but I haven't had any problems with them so far. I needed budget-friendly bass when I got back into car audio, and these nailed it.

Subwoofer is very good
5/5

This is a replacement for a similar item I purchased from a different company that had to be replaced twice due to quality issues. The Planet Audio 2100 Watt Sub woofers are excellent quality for the price, and they come with all of the necessary hardware. This seller and brand come highly recommended.

They'll flex hard if you treat them right! Several years ago, I purchased four of the twelve 1800 w
4/5

Prior to learning about internal cubic airspace and amp gain, I had no idea what I was missing out on. I was also a noob when it came to turning up the bass boost on their 4k mono block. However, even in that crappy box, those things pounded hard as hell for some cheap subs. These 15s are now housed in a custom box designed to fit the space requirements. I can almost feel my soul shifting out of my body at times when I use bandpass on the same amp with the labrynth port. If done correctly with the correct wiring and power supply, these things flex a lot. The quality isn't quite up to par, but for the price, it's a good deal. Surprisingly, I'm outperforming everyone in my area. I am overjoyed!.

At 200 Watts RMS, it sounds great
4/5

I purchased a pair of these, which are powered by an Insignia NS-100. A1200 mono single channel amp with 1 Ohm stability (discontinued). Each sub is wired to a resistance of two ohms. The circuit was then wired in parallel, resulting in a 1 Ohm final load. The amp is rated for 400 watts RMS/1200 watts max at 1 Ohm, which means each sub gets 200 watts RMS. I've got them mounted in a dual chamber box I made out of 3/4" MDF board and 3" PVC pipe that's 3" long. They make a lot of noise. deep! I used GearIT Pro Series 12 AWG gauge speaker wire, and I wouldn't try pumping a lot of wattage into these subs because I'm afraid they'd blow. Why did one star get docked: br>br>1- br>br>br>br>br>br>b No screws are included in the package. br>2- Because they are DVCbr>3-compatible, jumper wires should be included. If you give these a lot of power, you'll get a 15-inch baby rattle (blown)br>br>Do I recommend them? It is contingent on the situation. Yes, I do if you have a low-wattage amp, but if you plan on pumping a lot of power to these subs, you should look elsewhere. I'm very happy with their work for my application.

Excellent value for money
4/5

For frequency, the box build specifications are incorrect. Make time to complete your assignments. First and foremost, I want to emphasize the excellent value for money. Having said that, the ohms are a little out of spec at 3. The resistance is 5 ohms rather than 4 ohms. Because it's being used as a home theater sub, the final load is 7 ohms. Not a problem, as long as you stay in the 6 to 8 ohm range, which is what my amplifier prefers. br>br>Download a box-building program because the spec sheet is incorrect. Input the specifications and you'll notice that the 35hz they want you to build it at is incorrect; it should be closer to 30hz. 5 Hz and 3 Hz 5ft3 was no problem, so I doubled the volume of the box and reduced the hz to 18. 5hz. I only need it to play home theater subs in the range of 15 to 60 Hz. I recommend that you keep the 2x15inch port night and width. Make it as long or as short as you need it to be. I shook my lamp off the table when it was 200 watts rms, so it's perfect for what I'm doing.

This is not the place to get a 15" sub
3/5

This product fried in a matter of days after being tuned in with a 2000 watt amp. Amazon treats their customers well, and I was satisfied at the end of the day.

After a week of light use, it blows up
3/5

I had a shop install a subwoofer with a matched amplifier, and it was done in 9. It was completed in only five days. Now that I can't find my receipt, I'm not sure what to do with it other than eat it. I can attest to the fact that the sound was both deep and clear. I'm guessing it can't handle the advertised power rating, let alone half of it. You can get a decent sound by using about 300 clean watts of MOSFET power on it. The amplifier I used was a Planet Audio AC1500 1500 watt monoblock amplifier. 1M and after a break in period of 20 hours low level volume, I turned the amp up to 25% and it sounded perfect. After another couple days I powered it up to 50% power% The shop tech said it was a faulty voice coil and that I should have gone with a different company if I wanted a 15" sub worth the money. br>br>However, the experience was not without its benefits. Although it was several days late, the delivery speed was acceptable to me. I was informed of the speaker's location, and Amazon went above and beyond in keeping me informed of why, what, and where, among other things. So far, Amazon has done an excellent job. br>br>Now, I'm going to return the speaker and see what happens. I'm hoping that the Amazon sales receipt will suffice in replacing this item. I can't say whether it was due to a faulty factory installation or defective materials. And this is what happens. However, we'll have to wait and see what Planet Audio does with their product warranty. Their amplifiers are something I can appreciate because the one I bought is excellent. I'd buy from them again, and if this issue is resolved properly, they'll keep me as a customer for a long time. If not, I'll have to look for a different brand. br>br>Bad speaker- good amp- Amazon is spot on and extremely thorough.
