Questions & Answers
From what we've seen so far, it appears to work well. However, if you're thinking about purchasing from Focus Camera, be aware of the following. DON'T! We had to go back to Best Buy to repurchase the camera because Focus Camera sent us a package with all of the accessories but no camera. They will not refund our money. Amazon, on the other hand, refused to assist. $200 gone in a flash. I recommend going to your local electronics store and requesting a price match.
I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. When played back, it produces excellent image and sound quality. I had to look up helpguide.sony on the internet. Because the pamphlet provided wasn't very clear, I used net/cam to figure out how to playback. I'm sorry, but I'm unable to provide any additional assistance.
The Sony 32GB microSDHC/SDXC High Speed Memory Card included in this set is a "micro card" that works perfectly in this video camera. If you have a device that can download regular SDHC cards, you can purchase a "sleeve" that will accept micro cards and use it to download to your computer. In any case, only the Sony HD Video Recording camcorder is compatible with the micro card. This type of micro card has never caused me any problems, and the picture or video quality is excellent.
During the charging process, I used a video camera. The included battery only lasts 1 hour (total), so a larger battery or battery charger is strongly recommended. I always have a backup battery charger on hand.

I have no issues with the video camera itself, which performs admirably. However, I ordered this camera for a work event, unpacked it at the event, and discovered that the charging cables that came with it were incompatible with the camera. I was fortunate in that I had a Universal battery charger, so I wasn't completely out of luck, but it still made me angry. And there was no way I could return it because I needed it for the work event. I had to put it to use. It is not something I would suggest. Plus, there was no easy-to-understand instruction booklet. The one I got was entirely in Spanish. Not only in Spanish but 100% in Spanish as well.
I read a few Sony HDRCX405 reviews and even watched a few YouTube videos to learn more about the camera's capabilities. I was so taken aback by what I saw that I purchased it and wished I had had this camera years ago. It suits my requirements perfectly. It's what I use to upload videos to YouTube, and the video and audio quality are excellent. This thing is about the size of a soda can and weighs next to nothing. It's fantastic for the value you get. I wouldn't have spent $700 on a camera if I wanted perfect video quality. This is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a family vacation, a school field trip, or youtube footage (which is what I use it for). To learn more about what this camera can do, go to YouTube and type in the name of the camera to see for yourself how powerful the Sony HDRCX405 is. For numerous reasons, this is an excellent purchase. It is something that I use on a daily basis and would recommend to anyone!.
The lack of functionality turns a potentially good camcorder into a truly awful one. First and foremost, there is no On/Off switch. It is necessary to close the view screen in order to turn it on or off. What? Didn't the designers consider the absurdity of that for even a fraction of a second? The sound quality, on the other hand, is a "shadow" of the original. When played back, the sound appears to be a weak reflection of the original (this is the only way I can describe it). It's as if half of the energy has been sucked out of you. br>Next, the product has a cheap feel to it, like a toy camcorder for kids. It's not that it's light, but it feels as if you could crush it if you grip it too tightly. br>Because of the lack of a detailed product description, I assumed that the camcorder would have to be able to connect directly to a computer in order to transfer files. Nope. You'll have to remove the memory card and cross your fingers that your device can cope with the recording format. After reading the enclosed user manual, I discovered that many devices apparently do not. and that if they don't, they'll be stuck on the memory card for the rest of their lives, viewable only on the camcorder! This is what I'm going to say. The carrying case that comes with it is quite nice and versatile, as well as of exceptional quality. But you can't record with a bag on your back, can you? br>Overall, I've always been a happy Sony customer, but this product has completely failed me, and I'll be contacting customer service to arrange a return as soon as I finish this review.
The zoom is incredible, and it captures incredible details. I love taking pictures of nature, and this camera does a fantastic job capturing it. Just look at the beauty of the picture I took with it.
After comparing it to our better Sony camcorders and viewing it on a variety of monitors and TVs, the cx405 has the worst sharpness, as you can see on YouTube. br>br>Today, this cx405 is comparable to phones costing $300 or more. From the press box, I mostly use this camcorder to record youth football games. Because I needed to use the zoom feature so frequently, I was initially concerned about the quality of the videos. When I got home after the first game and plugged the camera into my television, I was more than pleased. The picture was clear, and unlike some of the other reviews on this site, I wasn't disappointed by the sound. br>br>The battery included in this bundle lasts just over 2 hours, which is exactly what I needed. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
This set had a lot of useful items, including a funky tabletop tripod, which I really liked. We shot a number of videos for my YouTube channel, and they looked great on the video camera screen. However. They looked terrible when we put them on the computer and even on the television. The image is very grainy. We went online to see if we could find a solution and experimented with different settings and lighting as well as taking more videos. The graininess is still too much. I returned both of the cameras I purchased due to poor video quality. I attempted to use the video on my iPhone 8, but the results were poor. Then I tried my son's OnePlus 6 phone, which produced excellent video. There's no need for any additional lighting or a microphone. Rather than one of these, you might want to invest in a good phone.
