If it's a Swann adapter, it's unlikely to work with anything else.
I bought this for a Night Owl 1080p camera system and it works great (in comparison to the factory provided adapter, which shorted out three times).br>I'm not sure if this would work with a 4K camera system, but if it's an Amazon prime item, you could try it out and return it within 30 days if it didn't work.
The 4 outputs are divided.

At first, four cameras could be powered with significant visual noise; after a few days, none of them would work if they were all connected (screens were black), and only two could be powered and work at the same time; after a few more days, I suspect the unit will fail completely and must be returned. My guess is that the seller is betting that most people won't return this item because of the low price.
When I connected it to my security system, only three of the screens worked; the fourth did not. I was able to switch the three plugs to different screens and get a picture on each one, indicating that something is wrong with the plug.
When I lost four cameras in a row, I discovered that the power splitter was the source of the problem. This one was a perfect match for my Defender Security Camera System, which I'd had for seven years. When I plugged it in, everything went back to normal.
I bought two of these to replace the Lorex 8 camera system's power adapter. After about two years of use, the Lorex adapter failed. The replacements haven't caused any issues so far. I like the product and would suggest it to others.
My cameras lost video even though they were still powered, presumably due to insufficient amps, so I replaced it and it worked again. br>In the past, one camera would be powered at a time.
So far, they've performed admirably. They should last for a long time, hopefully.
You think it didn't work when it arrived? I'm getting another one sent to me, and I'll let you know if it's any better.
I just plugged it in and it was ready to go. Thank you very much!.
