In my case, I was used to having Tovatec Zoom 300 lumens and I had no problems with it. I had admired my Fantasea Blueray extreme 500 lumen lights and thought they were quite bright, but It is actually roughly equivalent to the 800 lumen spot mode of this light, which isn't bad, but still. I am blown away by those 3500 lumens! My only experience is I have used it in the open air and in my below ground swimming pool, where it illuminates everything like a wide projector when it is fully charged. I can tell you this light is even more powerful than the built-in light in my pool no joke! produced a short video highlighting the comparison. The video has been muted on purpose in order to draw attention to what is being shown. Despite its promises, Kraken Hydra actually holds up to its promise. Full power lasts for an hour on wide 3500 lumen mode, and you could save the battery when diving for long periods. When set on spot mode, full power lasts around three and a half hours. This light sounds fantastic and I can't wait to try it out under water.
Underwater photography and videography is always looking for the ideal light, and hopefully we don't have to break the bank to do so. There are multiple settings for light and the lumen output is 3500. It fits all of my needs, including a replaceable battery and flood proof compartment. It is my only regret right now not to have purchased This dive computer has seen a lot of action during the last four months, with 100 dives logged on it, and the paint has scratched off in spots, but it still works as well as the day it was bought.
With all the functions it has, the light seems to perform as advertised. I have not taken the light Due to the insanely expensive proprietary battery, two stars are being removed. Could anyone tell me where I can find more As far as I can tell, they have used standard lithium ion batteries The battery is housed in a proprietary triangular case Usually you do shell stuff. It is criminal to sell extra batteries for $130. The battery looks about the same size as a 32650 Li-Ion The other dive lights in my collection use lithium batteries.
