Selected User Reviews For Nechkitter 60m Dive Protective Housing Case for GoPro Hero 5 Session Hero 4 Session Hero Session, High Transmission Waterproof Housing Case
I love how the housing is solid and durable, however there are a few faults. The first is that my footage looks blurry, and the second is that the camera will shut off when I get less than 15 feet from it. It was very frustrating to work on the second one. While coming up from a wreck dive, I noticed that the camera was off my mask. There was nothing I could do about it since it had been accidentally turned My good news is that I have a solution for both issues now! Water-resistant to more than 10 feet, both Hero 4 Session and Hero 5 Session offer 10 ft or more depth. Once the housing has been filled with fresh water, place the camera inside the unit and secure it. This will resolve the issues with fogging, and it will also stop water pressure from.
If you run it for a limited amount of time, everything works fine It is 15 meters long. As soon as that happens, the computer starts malfunctioning. There is no action button (at the bottom) when the air temp is below 20 meters. In addition, the buttons and joints will rust. I used this for twelve dives in total (ranging from 10 to 40 meters). It is 30 meters long. As a result of the 12 dives, I discovered that the bottom button does not work (I assume it is because of pressure) and the air bladder is no longer up to date. Would leak if it was too tight. If you plan on using this case for snorkeling or shallow dives (15 meters or less), I would not recommend it.
I managed to solve the button problem that way As long as the case is not too tight, it protects the camera from pressure (I have used it down to 60 ft without any risk of ingress), and the buttons work properly. Although I have tried a variety of methods to defog the lens, the case still fogged up badly. It worked for a while once I filled it with water, but the button then malfunctioned again. In the past, I have used water to partially fill the chamber - I have had some success with that The lens is kept clear by maintaining a small air bubble inside, but there is still some pressure that needs to be absorbed. The problem is that the water level in the case can get into the frame at certain angles and ruin Is it possible that if it were made of glass, it might be easier to clean? Although I am not completely dissatisfied with the process, I am frustrated nonetheless.
When I went scuba diving, I used it to protect my GoPro from rain and snow. In my experience, 100 feet is the maximum depth. As a result of a couple of dives, small amounts of moisture penetrated the case and condensed on its interior, obscuring it. It seemed to help to apply a small amount of silicone grease to the seal. The second problem is that the button on the back of the case stops working once you get There was no way for me to turn on the go pro since the button would not turn in. This may have been due to some stress in the case. In this case, if the camera was running above 30 feet, I could descend below 30 feet and still take pictures using the top button. Over time, however, the GoPro tends to shut down, so this wasn't a practical solution.
I really like the quality for the price. For the price, this seems to be a very good deal. It looks like it will continue to perform well like One case I'd used for maybe 75 dives quit working at depth when I used a different one I'd used for maybe 75 dives but felt was poorer quality. There was an issue with the button staying pressed, leading to unexpected outcomes. The problem I had with the last one should not arise with this one.
Even though the GoPro Session 4 is completely waterproof and I have used it under water in oceans and pools, I felt a bit more comfortable putting my camera into There is no doubt that it's very well constructed, and the fit on my DSLR Now that I know how to use my camera more aggressively, I can be a little more creative.
Served its purpose and was easy to use This is an easy to use system. We went down to about 120ft with it, no problems. We used a quick disconnect mount to use it as an extra on our cameras, and we got 25 to 30 feet. I have dived 30 times without any issues with the mount. There was no unraveling of anything.
The housing began leaking through the buttons during my third dive to 20m
Update housing is now dry. I took the housing on an additional dive to only 10m and had a complete flood of water inside According to the advertisement, this thing can't handle 60 meters.
