The case is not worth it if you don't want to lose your camera on the beach. The latch was connected to the mount before entering the water, so I am confident that it was connected well before This case is defective in that the camera was disconnected from the mount because the part connecting it to the camera is missing. The official gopro case has an extra rubber part on the connector to prevent the latch from coming off, but this one doesn't. moved the accessory mount next to the primary mount so that I could attach the string to it. It has the string and the accessory mount in tact, but my camera is missing. The case has broken because the wave hit my board with excessive force. I really regret buying this product since it does not have extra protection. Buy the gear from the official site, saving $30 or so is not worth losing your GoPro!.

I used it to dive down to 110' in Caribbean waters and it was great. Rusting is not an issue. I did experience light leakage on each dive, but I do not believe that has impacted my gopro experience in any way. I love how well the defog strips worked, no fogging, but every time I dive I get soaked with water. It was so minimal I would not worry about leaking and plan to continue using it. My only wish is if they would make a slightly deeper version of this housing so that filters could be put.

I have found this to be the best GoPro Hero 4 Session housing I have seen. In fact, I do not use it underwater, but rather on skis. I reviewed various GoPro holders online and was never satisfied with the OEM or aftermarket designs as they broke or otherwise came apart and the GoPro was lost. I went with this one instead as the GoPro is completely encapsulated and it will not pop out during use. As long as the camera is properly seated in the housing, the controls of the GoPro are accessible. I'm pleased with how it's going so far.

The price was well worth it. I liked how it worked. I would say the only complaint is that the buttons tend to stick after you fly about 90 feet. I was still having problems using the button until I climbed 70 feet. Make sure you hit the record button before you cross the 80 feet mark.
