Questions & Answers

I'm having trouble with my Nikon W 300, and it makes a strange noise when I shake it. Does it make the same noise if I remove the battery as well? Could you please tell me what to do?

As far as the Nikon Coolpix cameras are concerned, this problem seems to persist. In the past I had an AW 100 with no problem and in the future I bought a new one with this problem. Thinking it must have been some loose component inside, I took the AW 120 back to get a replacement. I had the salesperson and I go through 6 other AW120s, and we found that they all had the same problem. After I took one of the cameras back home and contacted Nikon, they said there was a problem with the noise in the camera and that they were working on it. The AW130s have this problem, and now I read that it has also appeared in the NEW W300. Somebody must have dropped the ball, because this issue has turned up in the AW130s and now it has even appeared It's real easy to fix this problem, Nikon. You have a great camera, just figure out what's going on with A $400 camera shouldn't shake, especially if the buyer has already spent 400 bucks on it. We need to fix the dam!

Are the GPS locations stored with the photos? If so, will it attach the GPS information to them?

This is a very interesting question, and it amazes me that someone answered "No"! This is the correct response In the location data options menu, when the "Use built-in location data" option is selected, the W300 camera begins receiving signals from positioning satellites. As a result, location data will be embedded into each image when the option is selected. The main purpose of having a GPS/GLONASS receiver in a camera is to track your location! Please note that the accuracy of location data will vary depending on how many satellites the camera receives signals from, and if you are in an area that blocks satellite signals, you will not be able to capture location data. If the camera is receiving signals, an icon appears on the monitor that indicates which satellites it is receiving signals from, so that way it will be more accurately able to determine the location. When you are taking a photograph, you should wait until the monitor indicates that signals are being received by three or more satellites before taking the photograph, which usually takes a few seconds after the camera has been switched

Is there a memory card I have to purchase along with this camera?

A SD card can be used in the camera along with a SDHC or a SDXC card. As well as SD cards compliant with UHS-I, the camera supports SDHC and SDXC cards It is recommended to record movies using SD cards with a Speed Class rating of 6 or faster (for 4K UHD recordings requiring an image size/frame rate of 2160/30p or 2160/25p, cards classified as UHS Speed Class 3 or faster are necessary). Recording a movie may stop unexpectedly if you use a memory card with a low Speed Class rating. You should check the compatibility of the card reader with your memory card. If the reader cannot handle your memory card, contact the manufacturer for further information. A quote from the Coolpix W300 Quick Start Guide, page 13. There are 32 memory cards that you can use

This underwater camera makes it easy to capture photos and videos! I have nbsp This underwater camera is great! bought it for my first trip down 18 on my very first scuba diving trip
5/5

I managed to capture some great images for 50 minutes by standing 5 meters away! Using the app is easy! By shooting, I mean literally pointing at the target. With a wide ISO range I was able to take decent shots under low light conditions. In addition, there was no problem with the video.

The AW130 is a nice improvement
4/5

As it is really the fourth camera in the Nikon AW Series ( after the AW100, AW110, AW120, and AW130), it seems strange that the Nikon AW140 wasn't named Nikon AW140. No, if you compare the W300 and AW130 on paper, it is not a significant improvement. While it is 4K, 60P is not included. In addition, no improvements have been made to the sensor size, zoom, or resolution. But there are a lot of factors that should be discussed here as well The phrase is Compared with the AW130/AW120 (which are almost exactly the same), this model has many improvements. This is significantly improved in terms of image and video stabilization. white balance and dynamic range issues, an issue that used to plague the old AW series. With the previous series, one had to use exposure compensation and metering to get images that were not over- or underexposed. It consistently does a much better job with this in the new W300. The effect of cloud cover on landscapes is most noticeable on overcast days. The Nikon D-mount has been added The camera has also been fitted with lighting that helps a lot. Additionally, one of the nice advantages was that they reduced the blurring of noise a bit. In the old days of AW cameras, they would fix the noise, aggressively blur the image and then sharpen it, creating a look akin to a watercolor painting. Some photos were destroyed as a result of this. As a result of shooting trees, most of the leaves amalgamated together, giving you the appearance of an abstract painting. There has been a significant improvement since then.

It is easy to see what your shot turned out like since the screen is much improved, which in some ways is minor, but it actually does help with exposure compensation and judging the outcome. There are also downsides, such as it being a much heavier camera than the previous AW's and the fact that they got rid of the map. It's debatable whether this camera is a worthy competitor to the Olympus TG-R A good question to ask is number 5. The TG-D is likely to be involved The 5 does a better job at shooting low-angle Taking light pictures, making underwater videos, and performing macro shots are all things I enjoy. Unlike the W300, the W200 is likely an ideal camera for use on the ground Video from the water (mostly because it is more stable), has better quality on average, and is an inexpensive alternative.

I was not able to waterproof the camera
3/5

For the month of September, I purchased this camera to take with me to Australia. My intention was to buy it because it was supposed to be waterproof up to 100 feet. On the second week of our stay, we traveled to the Great Barrier Reef. Until I put the camera in the water, the pictures I took with it had been great. Within 10 minutes of submersion in water, the screen was fogged up. After that, I was unable to take any pictures with it. My phone was not connected to a charger for a couple days while I let it dry out. Since I almost caught fire, I had to take pictures with my phone camera the rest of the way. There was a lot of anger in me. The item was returned to Amazon, however they would not accept it back because I bought it in May 2018. It was sent to Nikon for repair, and they repaired the major damage since it was within It will all depend on how things go.
