Selected User Reviews For Fujifilm FinePix XP140 Waterproof Digital Camera w/16GB SD Card - Yellow

I was hoping for an even better outcome, but it came out great
5/5

First of all, I want to make a statement. As a result of its price, the product can't be too harsh on me. I knew it wouldn't produce scenes that would blow me away since my Note 8 produces far better photos. My primary reason for buying this camera was that I could use it on my kayak. My life was a nightmare when I had to carry my pro DSLR and lenses on my kayak these days are gone, and I no longer fear getting water splashed on As a kayaker, I am not looking for high-quality images, but for good snapshots, and getting those snapshots without letting my camera get wet is my main concern. It makes perfect sense to use the XP140 Rather than change the topic, I am going to simply get straight to my review with what I like the There are 20 different modes to choose from on this camera. You're right, it's 20! My favorite is SR Auto (Scene Recognition) because all I want is to grab my camera and start shooting without having to dig through menus. * One of the shooting modes called "ADVANCED FILTER" gives you 17 more custom filters, such as fisheye, high key and toy camera, all of which you need to select Using the Fuji app, you can power it on, set a timer, use timelapse mode, make movies, as well as communicate wirelessly with your phone. It is possible to set the ISO, as well as the auto / manual focus. This camera has many options, and I have been a photographer for many years, so I have a good understanding of what each feature of the camera does. I strongly recommend that you read the manual if you're relatively new to cameras to become familiar with all that this camera has to offer. My battery life is exceptional, I could shoot stills for over 3 days on a single charge with typical use, and be able to turn off the camera when I'm Battery life will be severely reduced when watching video, along with extreme temperatures. It has the things I do not like, but I was aware of what I would get from a camera at this price. A few things to recognize about image quality it can both be really good and A cheaper phone would not be able to handle bright light as well as this device. Images taken by my Galaxy Note 8 are better than those taken by I did not buy it for greatness, but rather to record my kayaking memories with friends, and file away the fun. In addition, it is very good at what it does. *I like to transfer the images to my phone and edit them with Snapseed before posting them online. *The video, I think that the 4K is worthless at 15 fps, I like the 1080p 60 fps and this is what I In comparison, the microphone quality is terrible, and I have to yell at the camera for it to catch anything. It's like the old GoPro cameras that came inside water-proof cases, you have to yell very loud for the camera to pick up anything. If the water and the weather are clear, or if you are near the surface on a sunny day, underwater video performs well. There is also no cap for the lens, but if it gets scratched, there is no way to fix it. The lens itself has a protective clear lens, but if that gets damaged, then the entire thing must be replaced.
The product is very attractive, light weight, and easy to use. It's rugged and waterproof as well! All in all, I have been very satisfied with this camera. I give it five stars out of five. I think it's difficult to beat the price, but I think some of the features could have been done a little better, especially with the microphones, as well as the 4K 15. *I also bought a floaty hand strap for it in case I dropped it, and it keeps my camera floating, even when I dropped it. It is important to note that the images included in this post have been post-processed in order to be shared online, so some exposure correction and color correction have been performed. The originals would have been kept if I hadn't been thinking about doing a review when I took these images. However, it gives a good sense of what you can do with the These are all images taken with the XP140 during my first outing with it. I love it, and hope to work with it soon.

It was an extremely disappointing and dissatisfying experience
3/5

It took the item less than 24 hours to fail. I have an older model of the same camera and I just An unusual yellow sticker was applied to the barcode on the item that did not seem to be part of the original packaging for being "new". In any case, I gave it a chance. Had better know what to do. It took all night for the battery to charge. Even the older model of the camera will be charged fully in less than two hours.
Since I have this older model, I know how to close the battery cover properly. After 10 minutes of swimming, I got out of the water. I took few photographs before removing the camera from the water. I experienced a strange slow delay when trying to focus that is not normal. Camera retrieved from lake water after it had been submerged for about 12 inches. Those who have owned this system since at least the mid-1990s have found it to be remarkably reliable. A camera was examined once I exited the water. Fog turned into moisture in that time and then filled the screen and camera lens with water. In my opinion, this camera does not feel like a new one. Despite paying full price for the camera, I received it in just a few days. I received a piece of junk that needs to be refurbished. It is a very disappointing and dissatisfying experience.

A better phone than an In my case, I use the XP140 when I don't want to use the X-P200 If you have an E3/T3 or iPhone XS, which would you decide? (Edit) There is now an 11 pro version
4/5

In comparison with a phone, it is cheap enough that it wouldn't break my heart if I dropped it in a lake. Having a look at the XP140's image quality, I was curious how it compares to an iPhone. They are about the same size as an iPhone, but have a slight edge. The XP140 has more noise, but it can hardly be distinguished from the XP130. XP140 does not seem to set the exposure until there is some lag. What I like about it is - A better camera than the XP140 in terms of color. iPhones have additional cameras that help take better photos with HDR, as well as some software magic that makes it easier for beginners to take great photos. How different the XP140 is. At $160, I think it's a good value if you have specific use cases in mind There is one Using it by hand can be easier than operating a phone, making it an excellent choice for things like kayaking or scuba diving. It gets a 4 out of 5 In considering its price-point, and understanding the limitations of a 1/2-sized device, I rated it 4 stars. A sensor of 3" is used. When you do not need the ruggedness, it is a 2 or 3 star camera. The Olympus Tough TG-101 is designed to be tough and durable With a better lens and better image quality, the 6 is a better rugged system, but for twice the price. Rather than this one I'd rather use the XP140, which would be less concerned that it would be dropped in a lake. to take pictures of higher quality, I will use my mirrorless camera. As a result, In my case, 6 does not quite fit This camera is worth considering if you are looking for a rugged camera that doesn't sacrifice much in image quality, and you're willing to spend extra money on You would be better off with the right camera if you expect top image quality rather than good quality for street photography in the great outdoors. If you're looking for professional quality photos, this camera is not for you. You can get an APS by clicking here The letter C or something like that. You'll need the right camera if you're going to do anything where a photographer won't be able to Rugged cameras are at risk of being destroyed and I don't want to spend $300 or more on them.

A very disappointing experience The quality of the camera is worse than a phone's
3/5

There is only one positive thing about this product its As an enthusiast of Fuji X-series cameras, I have used Since several years, we have been working with system cameras and lenses. It was my hope that the XP140 would channel some of the X vibe into a handy, tough camera that I could take on snorkeling vacations. I cannot recommend this camera to anyone who cares about image quality since it did not live up to my expectations. With good light and at wide angles, the image quality is barely acceptable, but when you zoom in it degrades rapidly. If you use the flash, you won't be able to use it indoors. A low dynamic range and a tendency for highlights to blow out make this image difficult to view. There is a noticeable difference between the Fine and Standard settings with jpeg compression. Auto-scaling is also available A third of the shots were missed even when the focus was set to a specific point. Honestly, it is hard to believe this is a 16 megapixel camera from 2019- The quality of the images is worse than the three megapixel camera I used It is a shame this camera does not have RAW support, because the images taken from this camera have to undergo so much post-processing to make them Can you tell me about the Besides being compact and waterproof, there is nothing better than it In and out of the water, I caught a few keepers, and next year I will use the camera again on a Caribbean cruise. Despite this, it does not excite me and I could not.
