This is a interference fit, so yes, it is. In one of them, I filed the slot round, replaced the screw with one that fits a telescope, and cleaned the lens.

However, this is truly the correct quick release plate for the Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT, even though it does not appear on the list of corresponding tripods. The table from my first camera was too small so I didn't want to switch to the second one. You should always have a camera plate for your camera!.

Just one small piece is missing for my tripod to work! It was incredible to find a tripod among the trees with my niece and nephew! It was a holiday rental that we were staying in

Although it looks as though it has been missing for a year, the person who found it was fortunate in that it was only a couple of years old. It was only a matter of finding a shoe for this baby! It was Amazon who came through with the one piece that would complete and make the tripod functional. Thanks a lot!.

These are perfect for mounting every device I want to use on my tripods. I wish they were less expensive but it is nice to have an extra for each one. The process is a lot more convenient than switching between.

I'd like to have the ability to tighten the fingers

I like it very much. Using a heavy camera on it for an hour or two without losing it is the first time I've owned a quick shoe that doesn't come loose. Rather than requiring a tool to tighten, it would be nice if it had a mechanism to tighten. A flip up half washer is often found on many of these that you can use without a tool to tighten them up. It is generally better to use a screwdriver or something similar to tighten up one of these than not to use a tool at all, but you may not always have access to it when needed.
