It seems to be a printer with mixed feelings and lots of opinions This is a highly recommended product
4/5

Please see https//www. nbsp Photo printers have been part of my professional life for many years. A 24-hour clock is the best place to start The pin number 4 is The dot matrix on my 9-inch is not color The Epson P800 is a color printer. There are some inkjet printers that can print photos There was a time when realistic prints weren't the norm. I thought I would have near-perfect vision if I had a near-perfect computer To achieve high quality prints that were both lightfast and waterproof, I needed to use my dye-sublimation printer Using sublimation printers (Canon Selphy and Kodak 1400 Professional). A dye-based ink You have both dye sublimation printers and dye sublimation printers A ribbon with color that is heated to the point that the dye vaporizes and deposits onto a special polymer A coated paper has a glossy finish. A dye-based ink Below are a few benefits of sublimation Rather than having the colors formed by dithering, each dot is made up of dye-saturated dots Using sublimation as an example, we can see that it is (theoretically) equal to 24 A bit color value
There are no inks that clog up a printhead, run out during a print job, or require cleaning of the printhead
The prints are waterproof
Weaknesses
Even so, dyes contain a large number of contaminants There seems to be a decline in sublimation printers after Kodak and Canon pretty much abandoned the field. In order to use this printer as part of an event/party setup, I purchased the HP Sprocket Studio Go Bundle (3XT68A). In addition to the printer, a battery pack, a power supply, a ribbon cartridge, and some paper, you also receive a nylon carry bag. You should load the paper into the tray (glossy side up), slide the ribbon into the side of the printer, and then connect the power cord. There you have it. The physical setup is complete. After you have downloaded the app (I used an Android app on my portable Android device Google Pixel 3 XL), you have to launch it. There was a lot of weirdness going on It requires location permissions to put. . . finish the installation. The app is pretty intuitive to use once it has been installed The main reason is that the features are very limited. On the first try, it detected the printer through Bluetooth (happened immediately). Because there is no other way to use the printer, it's important that you like the app. Overall, it worked pretty well, but there were a few kinks because of its functionality. You can only use some limited features once you choose a photo in the app. In addition, you can crop and rotate the image (more on that in a moment). The color HSV value can also be changed, as well as brightness/contrast. It is possible to apply filters, as well as Due to the device gestures responding to the functions, it's a little too easy to rotate the image by mistake No way for the rotation to be reset back to zero. It is pretty simple to zoom in and crop pictures on a smartphone, but it is difficult to evaluate the rest of the image adjustments since you cannot see histograms and you cannot zoom in to see how the changes are affecting your image. You can now print the image once it is set up how you want it. The printer receives the print job when the app on the mobile device contacts You have a completed photo about 60 seconds later. There are four sections per print on the ribbon A cyan, magenta, yellow, and a clear color. four colors are laid down on the paper via the four passes through the mechanism. I was pleased with the prints I generated. It is important to explain why good is good in this context. They are not quite as good as what you would receive from a minilab, but you can't have one with you all the time. One thing to keep in mind is that the printer cannot print edge-to-edge due to the multiple feed passes the paper needs to go through. The edge of the page is vertical. As a result, there will be vertical tear offs similar to what we had back then Follow the fan page - There are days when you have to fold paper. The cropping of the top of the picture will result in a loss of about 3/16", according to my research. The battery pack and carry bag make this your best choice if you want to print 6x4 photos on the move. My impression is that mobile-specific features were designed by someone in the sales or marketing department, since the product requirements appear to have been derived from those people. Fixing problems is basically what the term refers to An installation kit consisted of a battery pack and a bag for the printer. absence of battery integration gives the inclusion a feeling of being tacked on after the fact. It is hard to imagine that the printer would have had a barrel connector as its DC power input if the design requirements included portability from the start. When you need 60W, it is better to use USB power Do you have PD and C? The barrel connector could also reduce the need for oddball power banks (since it would charge with the same In other words, I want to say. If you wanted to bring this to an event where you were going to out-perform others Would you like to print out your power reserves? There is always an issue with consumables when you have a printer. A dye-based ink As far as sublimation printers are concerned, they are pretty controllable since you know EXACTLY how many prints your ribbon can produce. It is standard practice for HP to only give you enough ribbon and paper for 10 prints when it sells a new printer. It's going to be necessary to procure more supplies once you've exhausted that supply, isn't it? It turns out that while HP's online store offers the 4KK83A at a lower price than Amazon (with free overnight shipping), Amazon is the cheapest seller for the 4KK83A. Typically, it is in the neighborhood of $100. I get 47 prints for 47 cents, which isn't too *If you look at this from the standpoint of having a printer that basically works like a digital Polaroid, with some Instagram-friendly features, maybe this idea will make sense There are some AMAZING features here, you're gonna love it. Taking the HP Sprocket Studio too seriously will lead to big problems - among other things, it will tie itself to a smartphone You could have known ahead of time, so there would be no problem. A PC is going to be needed if you want more control Dyes connected with each other In this format (6x4), a sublimation printer can be used. I use a SELPHY from Canon. This is a highly recommended product. I have marked this review as helpful if it was helpful to you. I appreciate it!.

I would give it a 4 out of 5
4/5

I give it an okay 4 stars because it did print all the pictures I asked for some of them were of good quality while others were not as good but were still It was starting to run out of ink after the 8th print, but I managed to get all 10 prints with the same I don't like how fast the ink runs out, but other than that it works great.

The film industry is experiencing a film jam
3/5

If it worked after the first run through, it would have been a great product. The grandchildren loved making pictures with it. I had to replace the cartridge eventually. In fact, the film jammed on the second cartridge as well, so I had to send back the sprocket on the third. The kids were angry at me for having.

It is impossible to see faces
3/5

I am less than impressed with this printer, despite the fact that it is very convenient to use. There is some reason why on occasion when you take pictures of people, their faces come out looking like cartoon characters. A strange issue cropped up with a number of different pictures of different participants in the study. In addition, the people themselves do not look like that. A Samsung S20 has a very good camera and I use it most of the time. That's too bad that the printed version does not behold the original design. In order to receive a refund, I sent it back.

The printing of the photos is good, but it is expensive per page
4/5

A dedicated 6-by-4-inch dye sublimation photo printer, the HP Sprocket Studio is named after the popular gear. In addition to the printer, you get a separate battery pack, a charge cable, a canvas bag for carrying, 10 sheets of glossy 6x4 photo paper, and the dye sublimation cartridge so you can get started right away. Unless otherwise noted, the cartridge is only good for eight to ten years out of the box There are 10 prints, which is quite impressive considering that there are only 10 sheets of photo paper. Apparently, the cartridges don't seem to be available separately for this sprocket studio printer. $34 is the price for the pack. There is also a pack of 80 photo sheets for $99, which comes with 2x cartridges. In other words, one cartridge is only good for about 40 prints, and each individual photo will cost you approximately 44 cents, which is a little bit outrageous. If you have an ink jet or color laser printer at home, you can print for around 10 cents per page. You can get prints for 8 cents if you buy online, or 15 cents if you go to a photo store Depending on where you order and how many you order, it may cost 15 cents. With 44 cents per print, the sprocket studio is way out of reach from a cost perspective.

However, on the convenience side, it's to your advantage. Despite the fact that this is not a small printer that you can carry in your pocket. This device measures approximately 7x11x3 inches, so it is rather large for what it does. It takes roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes for this external battery to charge fully from empty but once charged it will hold a charge well and can power about 80 photos. The HP printer comes with a canvas carrying case that can hold the printer, battery, cables, a spare cartridge, and paper, but the case is not divided into sections so everything rattles around quite freely, making me nervous that carrying it around could end up causing damage to The first time you use the printer, you just need to setup the printer (once you charge the battery). This takes less than 5 minutes. To use the printer, you must download the app from the app store, insert the paper in the paper holder, insert the cartridge, attach the battery, pair the printer with your phone (which it does automatically using Bluetooth), select a picture for printing, It is extremely easy to do this. Typically, the entire process of printing pictures takes about one minute, from the moment you press the print button on your phone app to the moment you get the final picture. With this printer, you will print from top to bottom edge-to-edge, leaving about a 1/2 centimeter strip below the picture to hold it (that strip can be easily removed later). While the colors are fairly accurate, they are a little muted and not as vivid or dynamic as I would have expected them to be. The company claims that HP's photo printer will keep your photos looking good for 100 years without color fading (more than long enough for many In summary, this is quite a nice little photo printer, but the price is definitely on the high side as this is a little bit more expensive than most photo printers.
