I've tried what's in front of me and what's in back of me. As I own the 35mm 1 lens, I was hoping to fall in love with this lens too. The lens is one of the best in the industry and I can only recommend it. According to my thinking, the 85mm 1 would be the best choice. It would be better if the autofocus was It had a tendency to miss constantly on my D800. In the camera, I tried fine tuning the AF, but I wasn't successful.
