We are very pleased with the quality of this product. As a matter of fact, this is the first set of lenses that I have ever owned. As a present from Santa, I wanted to get some extra items for my handycam. Having got my handycam going, I went back to the back yard and used this lense set to capture some amazing photos of the flowers in full bloom in the back yard. My son was very pleased with how well the telephoto lens zoomed in and allowed me to take great close-up pictures. As well, I was able to take great pictures with the wide-angle lens of the handycam when the zoom was on. I like this product very much.

Due to the fact that the Telephoto lenses came with an adaptor for Sony DCR DVD405 30mm, the lenses fit perfectly. You will get the same result with wide angle as well as 37mm but if you do not zoom, you will get a black circle since you can see the edges When taking a picture with the flash light, you need to take off the lens to make sure you have enough room for the flash. Nevertheless, I like the way they look and it fits my camera perfectly.

I can trust it to work as described. While it is not exceptional, it does the job it is intended for and at a very reasonable price.

I would recommend it to someone else, but do not expect the lens to be like a miracle. There is no compromise with the Opteka, it does exactly what it claims, and nothing more or less.

When used with a handycam that has a high zoom capability, the lenses are of good quality but they have a focus issue. If you zoom beyond a certain point, your lenses lose focus greatly. It is more useful to have a wide angle than a telephoto lens.

The pros are *Cheap, good wide and telephoto lenses, small, useful, and little in the way of cons. Getting the lens stuck can be caused by too tight of a screw! So be careful, but if you get them stuck don't worry, I found that a nicely sized wrench can easily fit between the screws and loosen them, but doing it by hand is quite laborious. I would recommend this product! The best time to buy one is for sporting events, family gatherings, and if you like to record videos and would rather not spend a lot!.
