As long as you realize this flash is MANUAL, it is a good flash for high speed sync as long as you know that it is a wireless flash. There is no TTL support in this program. TT685 supports TTL, so you should consider it if you need your application to work with TTL. Using the Godox Xpro Trigger, I am using this flash as an off camera flash. make use of this flash on a camera, you would need to use the buttons on the flash to switch between its power and "focus length". It's impossible for your camera to communicate with the flash or make changes to it if TTL is not enabled. To make changes with the flash, you use the trigger used in conjunction with the remote trigger. You will need multiple off-line accounts if you use multiple products If you're using a camera flash, you're probably using the manual mode anyway, so this is a good 2nd or 3rd flash option to have.
The flash I own is actually my favorite of all my flashes (even when compared with the brand name flagships) With a simple UI, a great build quality and a wireless flash system that works perfectly, you'll have a wonderful camera. It is my only complaint (I did not see it mentioned in any review that I read) that when using the flash in slave mode, a bright red light blinks to indicate when the flash is active. Though it's a handy feature in some ways, it cannot be disabled (or restricted to a lesser degree of brightness), making it unsuitable and distracting for less subtle situations without the use of black tape or something to hide it. recommend it, but be aware of the blinking red light concern (which hopefully a firmware update can cure, either as it has with some of their other flashes or via a future firmware update). -It is incredible how cheap it is for what it offers!.
Grab some of these if you're already using the Godox system and are looking for an off-camera flash that's priced reasonably. Off camera they lack some of the features you get with a TT685, but those aren't necessary anyway, since they're not needed when recording to a monitor. Both of these are equally powerful, and both come with a similar battery capacity and form factor. The stands are relatively inexpensive, so you won't have to worry if you knock one over by accident.
With this flash, you can still have remote flash capability and high speed sync even if you're on a budget. The Godox trigger is an easy way to adjust flash settings from the camera when it is paired with the flash itself. Besides being very happy with this purchase, I am very pleased with it.
The Canon Speedlight is the one you should buy if you own a Canon camera. In comparison, it has a higher guide number than the EX 580 II, so you can purchase three of them for the price of one used EX 580 II.
If you plan to stick it on a light stand and bounce it off a modifier, it is fine, but if you expect to bounce it off walls or otherwise use it on camera, I would not recommend it. There is no swivel to the head, which I wouldn't have thought to check since every flash I've used has this. I've only used speed lights from Nikon and Yonguo, so I cannot really speak to it on a professional level. However, it is compatible with the Godox high speed triggers, so I can assume it will be used as.
My Cannon 77D uses this device without any issues. This is a great device because it's got a lot of movement and lots of reflectors.
In a nutshell, I like it because the material looks durable, in addition to the accessories because if it was only the flash, I probably would not have bought it since I haven't used it yet. In the end, it will not be a good choice for me. To say the least, I am pleased to say that at first glance, it seems like a good investment.
