How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The easiest scope to set up of any entry-level scope. Simply open the tripod legs, turn the lock knob, and you're ready to go with the folding accessory tray.
A fully integrated smartphone adapter is built-in to the main telescope lens cap, making it ideal for aspiring astrophotographers. The asymmetrical mount design is extremely lightweight and stable. Day or night, terrestrial or astronomical, erect image optics provide a fully corrected image for easy viewing.
Red LED flashlight - The flashlight, which is stowed in the center of the mount head, can be used to gently illuminate the accessory tray or removed for use as a spotlight when necessary.
Focus micrometer - Allows for quick return to a specific focus point for specific targets (bird nests, infinity focus, and so on).

Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with all mobile devices?

I can tell you that my Samsun S7 Edge and my daughter's iPhone 6 both worked, and you get a great idea of what the scope is all about.

Some answers mention a tripod, but the advertisement only mentions a telescope. Is there a tripod included in the Amazon purchase?

The telescope, tripod, and accessories are all included in the Inspire 100AZ telescope package. Greetings from Celestron's Garrett.

I'm looking for better eyepieces to get the most out of this telescope when it comes to viewing the moon. Do you have any suggestions?

I purchased this for my grandson, and I, too, would like something to improve the focus on planets, stars, and other objects.

Please be patient with me as I am completely new to telescopes. But, if I look through this scope, will everything be backwards? Will they be as I imagine them to be, or will they be as I imagine them to be?

The Inspire 100AZ has an erect image diagonal, which means that when used with the eyepiece, the image will be in its proper, right-hand orientation. orientation with the right side up Greetings from Celestron's Garrett.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to get instructions! I'm only giving it three stars because the things they make you do just to get instructions are a pain!
1st - It includes a barcode that must be scanned in order to access a website
3/5

br>2nd - It asks you a slew of irrelevant questions before requiring you to enter a code found on the form's barcode.
3rd - It directs you to a download link that can only be downloaded on a computer, after which you must enter another code and complete registration information in order to access the download information. br>Wouldn't you think they're selling top-secret data or something? br>It's complete nonsense.

It's a great beginner scope that my 7-year-old can use
5/5

This was a gift from my son's grandparents for his seventh birthday. He's been requesting a telescope since he was four years old. He had a small children's scope that only helped him locate the moon and was difficult to see through. My mother desired something that he could use while also being able to locate and see clearly what he was looking at. This is exactly what I was looking for. My son can find and align the moon and some stars on his own using the finder scope, which was simple to calibrate. He requires adult supervision and assistance on occasion, but we are delighted that the telescope has sparked his interest in space rather than being a deterrent. br>We also bought a Celestron kit that came with a moon filter and a 15mm lense, which I think was a good investment. The level of detail we were able to see astounded even the adults. It also functions admirably as a day scope. br>The only drawback is that the mount is a little wobbly and easy to bump even when locked, making it difficult to keep track of stars as they moved out of view. (However, for our purposes as a beginner, this was ideal. ).

It's simple to use and has many of the same features as the larger scopes
5/5

Easy to use, with features not found on the BIG scopes, such as a highly useful removable red flashlight embedded above the accessory tray. For astrophotography, the scope cap can also be used as a phone holder. Lightweight, high-quality sight with clear optics and neat focus indicator numbers on the scope's side for quick reference. For added sturdiness, the tripod is equipped with a locking accessory tray. The tripod is not at all flimsy. We bought it specifically for the solar eclipse, but it's clear that we'll be using it for other sightings as well. In addition, we ordered the 100AZ model, which arrived in a sealed 70AZ box that we opened anyway to find the 100AZ exactly as ordered. It's possible that there was a snag in the manufacturing process. It took us less than two minutes to align the red sight with the scope. Excellent value for money!.

Because this was a recent purchase, I may adjust the score in the future (hence the "4" for now)
4/5

I've used it a few times and everything seems to be working fine; the product arrived in good condition. packed in a safe manner. One of the focus adjust dials has a problem, but it appears to be operator-related. error. maybe. But, overall, I'm happy. If you're looking for movie-related information, you've come to the right place. They will be disappointed if they expect images of the planets in the style of the planets. It does, however, deliver on its promises. This is an excellent astronomy primer. I would advise you to buy more lenses for more detailed viewing, as I have done. As is, the optics are of good quality and have a good set-up. It's not difficult to get up. This is a telescope that I would highly recommend.

100AZ - It's ideal for viewing from the ground
5/5

Once I was sited, I was able to see dolphins and manatees up close, which was exactly what I needed for life on the Bay. br>br>It's a great deal for the price, and it's made of high-quality materials. It comes with two eyepiece magnifications, both of which are quite powerful, but a 30mm to complement the 20mm would be ideal. 10mm for a quicker response time when it comes to site selection. br>br>Based on the reviews, it appears that people are buying this for upclose planet viewing by accident; however, I do not believe this is the intent of this unit. This one is ideal for terrestrial viewing, as it has a wide field of view, is portable, and is simple to set up. br>br>My only complaint is that, while all of the components are made of high-quality materials, the engineering is a little lacking; for example, the telescope slide bracket lacks a glide stop, and the two thumb screws used to hold it in place are too long and dig into the bracket. This is fine, but since it is one of the few flaws, it should be addressed. Nonetheless, I gave it a five-star rating. There's nothing else like it for how I use mine, which is more like a super target spotter.

A fantastic purchase! For the price, the Celestron Inspire AZ100 is an excellent telescope
5/5

The lenses are of excellent quality, and I am very pleased with them. It's made of good materials and is reasonably light in weight. The tripod is significantly more durable than that of other telescopes priced under $200. I've used it for both terrestrial and astronomical viewing; images are crystal clear with both lenses, and the 100mm aperture allows for a lot of light gathering. The only thing I'd like to see added is a slow panning control. Having said that, keeping the moon in view was not difficult because the image moves with the earth's rotation. A much more expensive reflector scope will be required if you want to see detail in planets and deep space objects.

Nice!
4/5

I'm not an astronomer, but this serves me well enough, and it's not too difficult to use. br>My grandchildren adore it, and my astronomy-obsessed friend thought it was a bargain. br>Can be used for bird watching during the day as well.
